JILLIAN Rogue was a plus-size model before she lost an incredible 195lbs. She was always an overweight child because she used food to comfort her in times of need and gained even more weight when she became homeless and fast food was cheap to get. She became a plus-size model after deciding that she was ‘going to embrace her body and learn to love it’. Modelling gave her confidence to go out and enjoy her life and all her experiences ‘brought her away from addiction with food’ and she started losing weight. After actively focusing on her health she started ‘bike riding, intermittent fasting, controlling portion sizes’ and lost ‘a whole person’. Jillian says after losing weight she feels like she has ‘a new lease on life’.

I do think it’s really significant that she lost weight once she felt good about herself. I think it’s important for people to realize that people getting to feel good about themselves is so important, and it doesn’t just encourage obesity. People need to feel good before they can get better.

I dont think I can agree with this 100%. Its a synergistic thing, you start to feel better and gain confidence as the weight comes off. If you have a bad mental image, that is its own issue that needs to be addressed. While the 2 are linked, there are many causes for both. Personally I was pretty unhappy with myself when I started the weight loss journey. I think the biggest thing that needs to happen first is learning to take some personal responsibility. Understand that you caused this situation thats making you miserable and only you have the power to fix it. Otherwise you wont ever break the cycle of self harm or self medication

@@mercyseiler2602 after having enough of being fat I told my doctor and after we tried a few things that didn’t work he referred me to a nutritionist. Personally speaking you HAVE to want it bad and expect hard work and sacrifices.

Very interesting and inspiring transformation story. It is in stark contrast to the many transformations that are triggered by a break-up, divorce, or some sort of "revenge" motivation. She forced herself to accept herself as a big girl even though she knew she would be happier with less weight and than started loosing weight unexpectedly. She decided for herself to actually try after seeing that it was possible to do some without much effort other than learning to be psychologically healthier by accepting herself. She started a good relationship right when she was going through her weightloss transformation and her partner became a positive influence and support for her to continue what she had already started.

I am so happy to see her story ! It shows that it's important to love yourself even if you're obese or overweight. Self love can only make things better and healthier. As she said, self love helped her break away from her food addiction so it shows that hating yourself and locking yourself out of this world because of your body will only make things worse.

Finally seeing a realistic weightloss journey. Almost every other video I would see someone loose a lot of weight and no loose skin, without skin removal surgery. Used to think “how is that possible?” Congrats to her. Inspiring.
I was so young when I lost 80 lbs. My skin was pretty elastic. I think the loose skin depends on age and length of time with the weight on your body

@@EIIy it can, surgical lines are always in hidden areas, and even when they cut off a drawing, great artists can find a way to reconstruct the tattoo or modify it
I know someone who did and it is a complicated procedure. She ended up getting sepsis and nearly died!

How could you love something that is making every aspect of your life so much more difficult? The odds of her dying of a heart attack before she lost weight were extremely high. Being happy with your body was initially meant to let women know that you don't have to be perfect, or emaciated to look good. A little extra weight is no big deal. It was never meant to celebrate morbid obesity. All of these morbidly obese women who go on about loving their bodies are absolutely full of it. It's a coping mechanism. I guarantee you they would love to lose the weight. It makes no sense not to. She admitted she had an addiction to food. If she can do it, anyone can do it; even if it takes a thousand swings.

But that plus size condition was caused by a serious eating disorder, which she admitted. Eating 10,000 calories a day is NOT and will never be normal. This is making everything in life more difficult and exhausting and is highly dangerous. Apart from that she wasn’t positive about how her body looked and was fooling herself. "I feel" not "I look". That's the most important thing. Do you feel better physically and mentally? Do you have healthy and effective coping mechanisms to get you through? Thats the triumph. She was beautiful before and after. So glad she's living life to the fullest 🙌🏾
So awesome. I lost 100 lbs them men I dated would say I needed plastic surgery. So I give up now I’m not fat but need surgery no one is perfect. At 51 eight surgery’s and 100 grand I’m good if men can’t see how beautiful my heart is. ❤️

Awesome! Self confidence and self esteem are two things I personally struggle with. Everyone has their own journey to take and I need to lose weight for health reasons. She's absolutely right. You do have more energy. You get to do more.
I'm so happy for her, it's not easy to take charge of your body and your life. It's easier to blame everything else for your issues. Standing up, facing yourself in the mirror and not entertaining excuses anymore is a very big step that not many people take on. Once you do that your life slowly starts improving and changing and you enter a new chapter of your life. Weight is just a side effect. Welldone, you've done amazing! I just know you are in such a better place mentally. You worked for it, enjoy it!

I love seeing these videos in which people lost weight on their own. I am in the process of doing that too. Not everyone can have bariatric surgery because their insurance does not pay for it and they cannot pay for it. I do realize that bariatric surgery is just a tool and that ultimately you have to be the one to keep it off. I still like to see the stories of the people that did this on their own. I wish she would have touched on what happened to her following afterwards. I’d be curious to know if she got mostly positive or negative feedback from her following and if her following has shifted to a new audience. Too many times people who were “body positive” and lose weight get criticized for “giving into societal norms and standards”. Either way she looked beautiful before and after the weight loss and I’m glad she took control of her health.

It's so crazy after 3 kids I gained alot of weight and I weighed 180lbs and to me that was alot! But she lost that whole amount of me at my biggest!!

I went through practically the exact same thing and also dealing with loose skin. Nice to see a fellow model with a similar story as me.
You have a great story. Surgery can help remove the loose skin but I know it will cost a lot of money. Stay healthy. 👍
Its a shame that people who make this monumental change are left w so much skin as a reminder of self abuse, but it should be seen as an honor to their accomplishment.

I had the same experience. When I started accepting myself I lost weight.
I used to be 260lbs at my worst, and I got down to 133lbs. Now I'm at 182 and I feel like this is a good weight for me. I'm not too big, but I don't look sickly.
The true prize is her finding herself & being true. She is loving herself by making sure that she is healthy.

I used to be 132 max on a bad day and binge eating mad me reach 165. I gained weight in my back, lower belly and arms. It’s true what a lot of people say you have to figure out what is making you unhappy before you can actually reach a healthy goal. I was so absent about my looks and in denial. It takes time to heal before you reach you goal. Don’t get discouraged.

actually, I think her face looked very beautiful when she was fat! probably because the heavy/harsh makeup went better with the softer face. I'm surprised at how much her faceshape changed, makes me wonder what I would look like if I lost weight. it's great to hear that she has more energy now and I hope she is healthy and happy. hope she can get surgery if she wants it.

I do not want to shame anyone who has bariatric surgery .However Im an RN and have seen devastating complications with it . I love seeing representation of someone who has lost weight in a gradual manner without further risking their life with surgery
