I just passed yall!! Im so glad i found this channel when i did. It helped a lot with my test anxiety and those silly mistakes i used to make. Thank you so much teach i really appreciate it. To everyone else about to take the exam you got this and we're all rooting for you 🎉🎉🎉
Literally was taking the exam as you posted this video 😂 however the last two videos were extremely helpful! I passed thanks to you! 💪 best of luck to everyone who’s taking their test! 🤞Listen to Jeff 👍
Just passed my CPT a couple days ago, first try! I took notes and expanded based on your videos, super helpful! Would you consider making a study guide video on the NASM CNC course? It's open note, but having a guide to follow is always helpful! Thanks!
Just wanted to hop on here and thank you for making this. I passed my exam this week, and I don't think it would've been possible without this video. I am an extremely bad test taker, and the textbook is overwhelming. There wasn't a single question on mitochondria, and yet the book had an entire section dedicated to it. The test was also extremely confusing; it seemed like every question had two correct answers-but it's those little things in your videos (like emphasizing the differences between ATP-PC, oxidation, and glycolysis) that I was immediately able to recognize and answer effectively. I truly think that those questions gave me the edge to squeak out the passing grade. So once again, thank you for all you do!!
For levers, a mnemonic - FRE123 Each letter is the MIDDLE corresponding to the class. Fulcrum (F) - is in the MIDDLE for 1st class Resistance (R) - is in the MIDDLE for 2nd class Effort (E) - is in the MIDLE for 3rd class
Last Nov 2024 purchased one of your test but I didn’t realize it’s only good for 30 days. Unfortunately I didn’t pass the Proctored NASM CPT, so is this the same I purchased last year! I didn’t realize buy the Pocket prep too!! So I’m starting the process again and really concentrate to Pass 4:32

I really appreciate that you make these videos to help fitness professionals! One suggestion: when discussing max heart rate (HR), wouldn't it be more helpful to explain how to determine the actual percentage of max HR instead of just "working backwards"? Even though it's a very simple concept, educating people on the formula could make a difference in real-world application. For example: Max HR = 220 - age Percentage of max HR = (Current HR ÷ Max HR) × 100 Therefore: Max HR = 220 - 43 = 177 Percentage of max HR = (139 ÷ 177) × 100 = 79%
Haha ya I figured someone would make this comment eventually. In hindsight I wish I had taught it that way. I was trying to simplify things as much as possible but sometimes that’s not the best way
NASM really wasn’t a hard test if you just study the material for like 2-3 months. You don’t even need to learn that many muscles. Honestly I found the test to be a 4/10 on how hard it was, but everyone hypes it up that it’s a 9/10 and impossible to pass. I felt the specializations were much harder material wise, and actually enjoyed each of the NASM chapters. Don’t just memorize everything but learn it to apply it and the questions are easy.
It’s easy for some and hard for others. There’s a ton of different variables to that as well. You can take the test 10 times and get a totally different test each time
It sounds like your client lost some fat mass and gained some muscle mass. Muscle is more dense than fat, so you could shrink a bit but weigh the same.
Hi Jeff thank you for all your content. In your opinion who offers the best strength and conditioning certification. I was thinking about taking NASM PES cert. Is there a better course? Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words! The CSCS is considered the best one. That said, it’s tougher to get than other ones. The NASM PES might be worth it, I plan on looking into it soon. The NCSF also has one that’s pretty decent.
Honestly, NASM’s practice tests are the best practice tests for their exam. As far as study guides and other free resources go, I’m biased, I think ours are the best since they’re probably helped the most people pass at this point but I’m sure some others would disagree.
Non-Proctored Exam: AFAA Group Fitness Instructor Certificate (GFI) VS Proctored Exam: AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor (CGFI) What is the difference in practice to work?

Congratulations on you successfully passing on the first try.
If you don't mind... How long did you study before you took the test and passed it?
Congrats on passing and thanks for the kind words! A guide on the CNC exam is definitely something I’m considering! I appreciate your feedback!

There are 2 levels for Ventilatory Threshold Intensity - VT1 (mentioned in question) and VT2.
There definitely are two levels! This question is only about level 1 though.
My exam is on Wednesday, will be back with how it went thanks for helping me study!
Hope it went well!

I’ve failed twice (64 and 59) and need to pass. I will pass this time!
This time you’ll pass! Keep working hard!
Thanks bro 🙏 Helpful video
Happy to help!
Hi Jeff, I have a question - My client gets reduced in size, measurements after 10 weeks of my training but weight remains the same why?
It sounds like your client lost some fat mass and gained some muscle mass. Muscle is more dense than fat, so you could shrink a bit but weigh the same.
@@SortaHealthyTrainerEducation thank you Jeff for your reply 😊👍

Honestly, no idea. You’d have to ask the folks at NASM about that since they own AFAA. I’m really not familiar with group certifications
i take my exam on monday and have been watching your videos non stop. i still don’t feel ready enough 🫣😭
You got this!
Keep reviewing but don’t kill yourself! You’ve got this!
