I think that before his sitcom, Garry had an actual talk show on TV in the '80s. I don't know if it was before or after this appearance.

Absolutely love Shandling...on the other hand, as a fellow Canadian myself, I have never thought Mandel was even remotely funny. Too neurotic, and highly spun for my taste!!
