I enjoyed watching this, and yet, it's also a melancholy nostalgia. A lot goes through your mind while watching, including a few aftershocks of grief for family and friends who are no longer around. Mom, Dad, one brother, and my best friend and dog, who lived 14 years. All gone since then. Of the five on stage here, as of 6/26/23, Doc Severinsen is still with us, age 95, who made what was announced at the time to be his final concert appearance in August 2022. George Foreman (what a sweet guy!), 74, is still making appearances in film and television. But Ed, Garry, and Johnny have all passed since then -- along with a lot of time that flew by in an instant.
Johnny was king back in the 60s - 80s. He could fall flat on his face with that nights monologue , yet save the night with his quick wit one liners about how bad the monologue was. !
One of the nights that Ed showed up drunk and couldn’t keep his mouth shut interupting Johnny . Snd Johnny handled it so well , looking back at Ed when he’d talk out of line or clanked his coffee cup down on their coffee table . Johnny would stair back at Ed for a spell , then give the audience a look like , what do you think? He then just asked Ed flat out if he wanted a cot to lie down back stage . So Johnny handled it with Comedy. Countless times Johnny would poke fun at Ed’s drinking , but this night , Ed lived up to the ficticious character with shinning colors !

Who's on first
The Reagan sketch was brilliant. Also, Garry is fantastic as always. No one quite like him.
How? it’s just a rip off of who’s on first

Yes! He was watched with awe.

Wow. The material Garry did ended up in The Larry Sander’s show monologue
His sketch as Tarzan with Betty White was a ringer !
Garry Shandling first appears at 19:57 on the Best of Garry Shandling video.
🙏🏼
"I go to Gold's gym cause it's a Jewish gym." Absolutely hilarious!
6:25 Johnny bombing after a great start is hilarious 😅
I feel like whoever wrote the bit about the 24 hour game show took some inspiration from UHF
It's not like I'm going anywhere.
Wow. Johnny was really somewhere else that night.
Shandling was dynamite.
Is this. Comedy? From like 1812.
Johnny lost his belt.
did gary shandling write those sketches or was he throwing those pies.
I'm guessing that Doc Severinson is more hip than the rest of the band!
