When I started watching you girls, Amanda was the shy quiet one. She has gotten so comfortable in front of the camera, even when she dropped the soufflé glob. The seesters are a perfect compliment to each other.
Hello Mell! My name is Rose & I have a 13 year old daughter with gorgeous hair like yours. Until I discovered your UA-cam channel, I couldn’t figure out how to care for or style her hair. I’ve been following you for less than a year but have learned so much! I wanted to send you a message to say thank you so much for helping me learn & teach her as well. Embracing her natural curls has helped her confidence & that is AWESOME! I’m sending before & after pics so you can see the transformation. She wants to start to gain length now so we are working on that with some biotin & vitamin E supplements😀 thank you again for sharing your knowledge & making her adventure so much fun! You are amazing!!!!
“I want you to remember the phrase treat other how you want to be treated.” Says Mell and than Amanda says “ this how i treat myself” and when Mell says “ you must hate yourself😭😭 I’m dead
This was hysterical. "Ma'am ... Maa'aam". Gotta say, I'm super proud of seester Amanda, she has come such a long way not just in comfort in front of the camera but in her routine and technique! @manes by mell your facial expressions were priceless 🤣😂🤣😂 perfect hair ladies! Thank you for the second video. .. oh! And amazing editing with those snaps!
I just wanted to say thank you to Amanda for showing the Denman comb. I have been trying to do my hair with the brush for weeks, and it is so fine and so low density that the brush just wasn’t giving any resistance. I tried the comb and it worked perfectly. Thanks, again!
Minus the frizz, the original denman brush hasn't done much for my definition (2C waves, fine and medium density). I still use it and like it, of course. I will be definetely trying the tease styling comb.
What I love about curly hair is that you can make it voluminous using a diffuser, different products, etc. or you can just leave it flat, depending on what you feel like having your hair like that day, so it's like having multiple options for hairstyles
I’m sitting here, on wash day, about to wash my hair, excited to hear what Mell has to say about how to style bangs, because I think I can use these tips on my bangs… and then she says to wait until next week 😭😭😭
I've been using the 3 row brush for my 2c-3a curls and it's magic! it gives me so much volume at the roots and more curl definition than the 7 row denman brush.
So, I have two sisters, and the whole video, all I can think is that if anyone anywhere ever wondered if you were truly sisters, this video would put those doubts to rest. This is total sister vibe and I love it! 😅 Also, It's now been over 16 months since I've seen my family in person, and holy hell am I kinda (I have to say kinda, because a little togetherness goes a long way) missing them now! We all have very different hair from each other thanks to a very mixed ethnic heritage, so sharing techniques would be a disaster, but I'm totally arranging a hair spa day ASAP.
I ordered the electric blue Denman 3 row comb a week ago. It should be here tomorrow and I can’t wait! I’ve noticed my 2C - 3B hair loves to be styled in very small sections but I have a headful of hair and doubt it will happen on my watch. I’m still trying to figure out what my waves - curls like with detangling - styling brushes. We’ll see what happens.
This was such a fun video!! 💕 I would love to learn more about styling the “mohawk” section of my hair. I always end up with lots of parts when I’m done 😩 love you, seesters!! 😘
This is one of the best videos ever! Why? Had you shown us just one routine, I would think, cute but it won't work on my 4C coily hair. But seeing the comparison ...makes all the difference. Technique plays a major role in the finished look.. Thanks!
This was hilarious, and I cant wait to try Amanda's combo on me. I live in SC and the humidity is already climbing here toward the 500% we usually have in the summertime.
I think Amanda did really well (considering she's not a hair professional). Mel always does a great job. You both look great. I need to get those products.
A video for very fine low density curly girls would be nice. I hear the terms: Part hair in 5 sections BUT low density gals can't even make 5 sections! They don't have enough hair. If I was to part my hair in 5 sections then each section would be a inch thick. Maybe less then a inch thick. So wouldn't low density gals use less sections then? I can actually do 2 sections. Straight down middle and one section on each side because I have very low density hair.
Also, I never comment but today I just have to : really really loved the energy between you two, and the way the video was cut, and the music you used. Love you guys❤️
So brave, and funny! I love the matching outfits, but these robes look so comfy. I dressed my girls in similar almost matching but color coded outfits , they (ages 24/26) laugh that I still buy stuff like that for them.
Mel, your Hair is FANTASTIC, regardless!!! I loved this!!!! I absolutely ❤️, the way you show how to style hair, while it's Wet! The Curls, on BOTH of you, are Beautiful ❣️
I know your hair is crunchy Mel, but Amanda‘s routine has your curls more define towards your neck area. Some of your videos your curls are not defined towards your neck. They’re kind of stringy or straight, but Amanda‘s routine has defined your whole head!
I love this! Aww, wish I had a seester to share this with. Maybe a mommy/daughter date and call it a “spa day”. With fine low-medium density hair, I get those hard lines you were referring to, when styling the crown. I do okay on the styling around. My crown is thinner and you called it. I definitely end up with these top rows across. I will definitely be trying these diagonal parting, to style my crown area. For the finishing balm. Is there a recommendation you might have for fine low-medium density hair? I was considering buying the same balm but hesitated. Glad you helped clarify that factoid, “thicker balm, meant for thicker hair.” Also! Looking forward to any tips for styling fine and thin bangs and face-framing layers. (Postpartum hair never quite filled back in)
I don't know why, but no matter how many times I watch Mell finger coil her hair, I can NEVER get it right on myself, it always makes my curls less coily and super wonky. :( Still loved watching this vid though ❤
i want to have a relationship like this with my sister when i'm older! she has straight hair and i have 3b curls ahaha the genetics were a bit off balance so i won't be able to do this with her, but mel and amanda are so funny and happy together and i wish all sibling relationships were like that.
Hear dat. My sis and I have worked long and hard and we're still not there yet. But we try, and fail, and try again, and even that is so far from where we started. (And she has straight hair too lol!)
I love this. You guys are so funny together! Mell, your facial expressions had me dying!!! Application is definitely key. I just wish that I had the key. 🤣
This was so so fun! I died throughout the whole video I’m not sure if I was able to learn 😂😂 I think the only winner here was Amanda lol but she could’ve at least finger rolled or finger coiled your bangs lol 😆♥️
I just recently went to a hair salon for the first time in way over a year, and I started my wavy-curly hair journey last fall. So I had to watch a stylist diffuse my hair with a tiny amount of gel mixed with something, and she touched my hairs the entire time, even though I told her she needed to not. THAT was stressful. I drove right home, rewet my hairs, and restyled MY way - MUCH better wavy-curly results.
Love how the girl in blue’s hair routine tightened & made her sisters curls more uniform! I’m a frizzy curl pattern like her before result and I could never figure out how to tighten my curls 😭 awesome video (:
Hey mel, could you do a video on how take care of your hair while it is straight?! 😊 also between you and Bianca Renee (another curly Hair girl UA-camr) I have really learned to embrace my curls and wear my hair curly again after years of relaxers and straightening and after a big chop to rid of the damage!
This video is everything!!! I love how authentic you both were .. ‘train wreck’ and all! But Mell, Amanda tried her best, next time you should keep your head up and tilted back so she can get a better angle in your bangs. 💕
Me and Amanda are so on the same page with not as clean sections lmao I ain’t got time for attempting that lol but of course love Mel’s routine but you’re a stylist!! Lol
I had never used Curlsmith until I saw this video. The smell sooooo good. I have bangs now too and short hair, but the products are helpful and it looks better than I though.
in this video, i could tell the resemblance between amanda and Mell way more than before 😭 especially when she had her hair back at the beginning of the video. anyways y’all are pretty 🥰
Wow!! Mel's hair is long! I'm so jealous of Amanda right now....lucky girl has Mel as her personal hairologist @home! I was Scared to see that comb for Mel's hair....idk bout THAT???
My hair is usually how Amanda's looks at the end of this video, but I struggle so much with frizz and getting volume at my roots! I have long and thick hair as well. These Curl Smith products look good... Anyone else try them??
I actually really like the curl smith products. I used bounce curl but for some reason bounce curl wasn't enough for me but curl smith actually holds my curls and lasts so long (the air dry cream and the in shower gel)

I LOVE both hairs!!! They look so fresh so much volume the bangs look great! Yes a little crunchy looking on Mel buuuut I feel it cut down so much time!!! I loved how fast this routine is well from my point of view lol
Ok but where do I get that white hair clip?? (The one in Amanda's hair around 15:00ish) I know it's not at all the point of the video but it grabbed so much hair, it was a beautiful thing
🤣🤣🤣 Those "bloopers"! This is so much fun. But I have to admit, I'm a little like Mell when it comes to my hair. "No one can do it as good as me", even if they can. 😂
Thanks for another fabulous seester video. Mell, you were hysterical to watch while Amanda was doing your hair. I think both styles turned out great, although I think Mell could use more volume. 😍
😭😭😭not one, not two, but THREE videos from the seesters this week!!! I'm so grateful 🥲 .... this may or may not be the reason why I'm so unproductive at work this week 😅😅
When I started watching you girls, Amanda was the shy quiet one. She has gotten so comfortable in front of the camera, even when she dropped the soufflé glob. The seesters are a perfect compliment to each other.
Haha thank you Lisa! We hope you loved the video 💖💖
They should do a "my brother or mother styles my curly hair". That'll be hilarious!

What I love about curly hair is that you can make it voluminous using a diffuser, different products, etc. or you can just leave it flat, depending on what you feel like having your hair like that day, so it's like having multiple options for hairstyles
thats true, only thing is that it is a pain in the ass to style after a couple of days plus it gets tangled really easily
I’m sitting here, on wash day, about to wash my hair, excited to hear what Mell has to say about how to style bangs, because I think I can use these tips on my bangs… and then she says to wait until next week 😭😭😭
I love Mel’s hair with Amanda’s routine.
Rewatching old video’s bc loveeee the whole channel! And all video’s are great they can endlessy be watched❤
I've been using the 3 row brush for my 2c-3a curls and it's magic! it gives me so much volume at the roots and more curl definition than the 7 row denman brush.
This was epic! Perfect example of different strokes for different folks.
"I don't section the hair like I should, but I feel like it gives character." 😂
Mells face the whole time seester was styling making me smile 😃 you both make me love my hair and keep me laughing !
I am just love-struck by both these results tbh. Amanda did a beautiful job styling your hair, Mell!! ♥♥♥
I’m obsessed with this channel 💕💕💕

I literally thought like mell. Why is she suffering with the balm like that why not just scoop it with her fingers. Loved her reaction 😂

Yes! Love this video
Oh my gosh. You both have the most beautiful curly hair.
That's the funniest video I've seen!!! Love it so much! Way to go girls!
Happy Friday seesters 😍 HILARIOUS, I'm dead Ma'am 😂😂😂 Too funny, have to watch again 😂😂 Great job Amanda, she would be the best assistant ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Amanda I love how your hair looks I am watching you and Mells videos and I am enjoying them love you seesters 💗
THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST MAAM
Amanda you did an amazing job, The curlsmith products look beautiful light and shiny
WOW, both your hair came out beautiful. And Mel, I'm glad you cut your bangs. It made a world of difference with volume on the top. Love it.
Yay I’m glad you like them!! I filmed the process so stay tuned to see it Tuesday 😉💖
Gotta say- amandas technique of taking horizontal slices from a mohawk section changed my life 😂
Not to be that guy but I take credit because she learned it from me 😝 but no we love her techniques she did great sweetie!!💖

These videos save lives! Is there one on how to get volume on really long hair? I noticed Mell said its difficult to do in the beginning of this one 🥺
lightweight products, apply from ends up, brush (while wet) out instead of down, defuse and scrunch up
