What would have happened if Mussolini had Prepared his Fascist Italy for war? What if he, and not Hitler had taken initiative for conquest? Can a new Roman Empire be established and held?
In This timelapse Italy builds up for war early in an attempt to take full control of the Mediteranian sea. What starts off as smaller conquests quickly escalates into a full European Conflict. Follow in the next Episode as the war turns Global and the worlds biggest super powers face off against each other.
This WWII timelapse has been simulated by AI in the video game Hearts of Iron IV by Paradox Interactive.

I was in a game with my friends
The British sent over half their army, every single tank division was in Sardinia and the attrition was over %40
The like one division I sent to temporarily deal with the french division they had there was overwhelmed.
I tried to blockade it, but the British had a bunch of their navy there as well.
A few months later, America joined and I forgot about Greece.
America made a D-Day in Greece, they probably sent their entire army as well as the British.
I didn't know much about division templates back then, so I had the basic divisions.
To make things worse, my army hadn't grown too much during the entire game.
The Americans overwhelmed my troops.
My friend who was playing Germany didn't care, didn't even send any planes or divisions at all.
Eventually, the Allies landed on the Western side of Italy and in Sicily, and my small army couldn't handle it.
Germany was still dealing with the Soviets, (the other friend of mine, a human player)
the war was a stalemate from the beginning.
He even had divisions BEHIND the divisions to reinforce when necessary.
The only thing that could break through it was tanks, and the Soviet player naval invaded Germany and took Berlin.

With all the territory he's got, Mussolini is at risk of having war declared on him by both Stalin and Hirohito. The Soviet Union focus tree lets them claim the Middle East, while the Japanese one lets them claim French Indochina. If he's already outnumbered militarily and industrially by just the Allies then imagine adding the Comintern and Co-Prosperity Sphere to that.

As an Italian I always like to restore the Empire!
Something is really itching me about that it's called "Novus Imperium Romanum" as that would be wrong. See, in English the word "new" or any word in eng. at all doesn't have "genders" (idk if genders is the right term). Like in German if you refer "new" to a man or maskulin obj. it's "neuer" and if you refer it to a female or feminin obj. it's "neue" and neutrum would be "neues". And since Novus Imperium Romanum already has two words that end with -um, wich is used for the neutrum Novus Imperium Romanum CAN ONLY BE WRONG. Instead Novum Imperium Romanum is Right.

Isn't this the strategy game where you can decide if you start exactly in 1939 or before (if you wants enough time to prepare your army for WWII)? If so, being able to re-create the Roman Empire might be the thing that convinces me to buy the game.
Yes this is Hoi4 you can pick between 1936 or 1939 but with a few mods you can pick further including 2000 to ww1, Youcl can restore more empires like As germany you can restore The Kaiser.
