saw Marcus last night ..I'm still speechless best band I have seen in years ,to shine like that next to Trucks Tedeschi amazing .he had the crowd on their feet second song in ..and that drummer just killer ..the whole band is amazing can not believe they are that young..Tedeschi Trucks were amazing and so graceful to this young man ,he did a killer encore with them when he sang his line Susan just had this look of shock on her face we all did....YOU WILL GO FAR !!!!!!!!!!!!
I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend seeing the Marcus King Band any/every time they are in town. From the killer horn and key section, to the tasty drumming, to the groovy bass playing, to Marcus's godlike guitar playing, they will blow your mind every.single.time.
@@bjornyesterday2562 Hell yeah Derek Trucks is awesome too! Marcus and Derek have actually played together. There is a video of them playing Hot ‘Lanta together I HIGHLY recommend that.
@@bjornyesterday2562 ahaha I always used to say that Suzan and him and Dreck in general has so much in common! They are treasures of America, I'm a foreigner in America it surprises me so many people don't know them but they know Kardi B! Lol America really need to pay attention to it's beauty a little bit! so much concentration on the ugly side and ignoring the good. I mean two sides are important.
Bev, Silly question but WHY ? This is Allman Brothers song written by Dickey Betts , Maybe Duane may be smiling but this in no SRV tune & your comment makes little sense.
Some of THE MOST DIALED-IN, ZONED OUT musicianship I've EVER heard, much less seen! Grab A look at the DRUMS, ( no type-O) INCREDIBLE in EVERY POSITIVE WAY!! This whole 13+ min. video makes me smile! Yes, I play keyboard, & have since Age while I'm witnessing gifted musicians there is a current running through each that is SO life affirming
Yep I have Marvin years ago when he played with a buddy of mine Ricky he was really good then too and I have to say I am not surprised Marcus is so talented it runs in the family with them very cool
This song is a take off from Allman Brothers Band Album IdleWildSouth In Memory of Elizabeth Reed... Markus and his Dad only enhance this song to sound much better and just a Lil Faster Lol These guys are Hot on their Guitars.
MK~ULTRA!! At the ripe old age of 22, Marcus King is one of the best, hottest acts around today! The entire band just oozes with talent and with their youth comes an exuberance that will excite ANY audience. He's already proven himself as one of the best and he's just getting started! I wasn't all that impressed with his dad, at least not in this instance, but then again, it's my first time seeing/hearing him play. They seemed to me, to be a bit "off key" in their rendition of IMO Elizabeth Reed. The performance is further marred by constant attempts to get their volume right. Although I should say that he seems like a nice enough fellow, and he and Marcus seem to have great chemistry together while on the stage. Guess I'll have to research him a bit, see what other stuff he may have out there. As for Marcus, the sky's the limit. His 3rd and latest album "Carolina Confessions" is a masterpiece and climbing in sales. "Good-Bye Carolina" is a really sweet melody and EVERY song on the record is good! MK talks about the writing of that particular song, and how he believes that his deceased friend, who was also a "great songwriter" (according to Marcus), should take credit for actually writing the song. He suddenly heard it all, in his head, and just, wrote it down. MK says "I take very little credit for the writing of that song." He does a GREAT acoustic version and tells the whole story, here ~~~~>>>>~~~~>>>> ua-cam.com/video/zPSPwak1O20/v-deo.html
My grandfather was in Vietnam and b4 he requested a transfer he was sent to germany and had to learn german, i theorize the same sort of situation is with marvin king, anyways hes a brilliant player and so is his son
You got that right? I was at Stevie Ray Vaughan's last concert in Wisconsin. And I thought I'd never hear anything close to it again. And the drum solo on this was outstanding.

Real Deal Stuff !! I saw them last year , so F'n gooood , going to see them again next month !
Saw Joe Bonamassa there for $10 when he first came out as a single act ....last time I saw him it was $125 to sit way back
Saw Marcus 2 years ago and seeing him again tomorrow night. They put on one hell of a show. I was left in awe
I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend seeing the Marcus King Band any/every time they are in town. From the killer horn and key section, to the tasty drumming, to the groovy bass playing, to Marcus's godlike guitar playing, they will blow your mind every.single.time.

Grew up in Tuscaloosa in the 80s and I've heard so many versions of this song by so many but they kill it
This put a smile on my face.
I love how Marcus films Jack’s drum solo. Marcus & Jack are so gifted! #YEAHTHATGREENVILLE
I met these guys in Charleston SC. Super down to earth guys. They gave me the option of a numbered poster or one signed by the band...no brainer.

Bet the bier was pretty good too.
No Neil Peart but a sick drum solo
The harmony parts need a bit of a touch up.
try not to pick it apart and just enjoy, it is live you know
Robert , It's a jam not a studio take.
It sounds like Marvin is a very talented player in his own right... he was, however, a bit out of tune
Dickey and Duane got nothing on these guys...
