This Cottage Cheese Pizza Bowl recipe was a viral Tik Tok recipe that I wanted to put my own spin on. I would call this more of a cottage cheese pizza dip, the way we ate it. Whatever you call it, it is cheesy and delicious and full of pizza flavor to hit the spot when you are craving pizza! It is low-carb, gluten-free, and high protein with 20 grams of protein per serving! Weight Watchers Points & Calories/Macros and additional nutritional information Included.

    Ingredients:
    3 cups Fat Free cottage cheese
    1 1/2 cups marinara sauce (I used my homemade sauce➡️ • Quick and Easy Homemad... )
    1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
    1/2 cup Shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
    18 slices Hormel Turkey pepperoni
    1 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning, 1 tsp for mixture, 1/4 tsp to top
    2 tsp granulated garlic
    ½ tsp Red pepper flakes
    Cooking spray
    Blend cottage cheese (optional) in a blender or food processor. Add to medium bowl along with 1 cup marinara sauce, parmesan, granulated garlic and 1 tsp Italian seasoning. Stir all together until well combined. Spray 8X8 casserole dish with cooking spray. Pour cottage cheese mixture in and spread out evenly. Top with remaining marinara evenly. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on, followed by pepperoni. Sprinkle with remaining Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes.
    Bake at 350Ffor 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Broil additional 1-2 minutes to get cheese bubble and brown if you wish.

    Kudos to your husband for giving a great description of what this tastes like. I've watched a ton of these pizza bowl videos and everyone just says that it tastes good without saying what it actually tastes like. I was wondering if it tasted like lasagna filling and he answered that question for me. Great video!

    I add eggs to the cottage cheese, and it resembles a ricotta layer of lasagna.

    I can’t wait to try this! I think adding some black olives or sautéed mushrooms would be good without adding too much extra moisture.

    What about adding an egg or two to the cottage cheese? Might help with the watery-ness.

      @@AliciaLynnYT all the recipes I’ve seen called for 2 eggs with 1 cup cottage cheese. I think it would have more of a pizza texture. But still delicious no matter what!

      Something to try! Cottage cheese tends to always release water (whey) when it's heated unless you strain it first. How much it releases also can depend on the fat content and brand of the cottage cheese. Thanks for watching and for the idea!

    Why do you not add eggs to the cottage cheese because that will set it up. Like the viral cottage cheese flat bread?

      I haven't seen the flat bread recipe, so I'm not familiar with it and what is in it. This recipe is based off of the many recipes I looked at for Viral pizza bowl and none of them used eggs.

    What diet are you on that requires a zero carb recipe...yet you get points for using slightly 2% fat cottage cheese?
