  • Went on the longest service call ever to Millennial Farmer's shop in Minnesota. I've got my best friend Caleb with me and he is a planter master! Together we team up and show how Sloan Implement gets it done! In part 1, we get the tractor ready to hook up to the planter, hook up the planter, talk about all the hydraulic and electrical connections, and get it unfolded and ready to inspect. #johndeere #johndeeretractor #johndeeretractorpower #agriculture

I told you last video that my son is getting info on the JD tech program, well we talked to our dealers service manager yesterday and he wants my son to come out and shadow one of his guys for a day to let him see what it's like.

What an interesting video, Zach !! I am a retired "City Slicker" from San Diego - originally from Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia) and a UTube fan !! Zach, I have a whole new respect for you and your Dad, and of course, Jim !!
Farming here in America is certainly now, very high tech. The equipment, knowledge and ingenuity you need to have is totally mind blowing !! You seem to round it out by being a great husband and father !! Keep it up, my friend and you WILL be blessed !!

Can't believe how far farm equipment has come since the JD 2020 we had when I was kid. Great video. its great to watch and learn from guys who really know their stuff!
The only thing that drove me nuts is all of the corn husks packed behind the cab. If My Uncle saw that he'd roll over in his grave. That stuff makes a great home for mice over the winter who love to eat wiring. Not to mention it promotes rust. Then, on top of that, it soaks up the hydraulic oil, on a hot day all it needs is a ignition source and you have a tractor fire.

I’m 75 and I haven’t been on a tractor since. I was 19, so a little behind on modern ag implements. Having said that it seems to me that if you start at 6am with that implement you should be hooked up in time for lunch. Don’t know another industry that has g,one thru so many changes in my life span. Heck we didn’t even have a cab on our tractors. I do enjoy watching your channel, the Larson, the Welkers, and the Brown family.

An anti-seize lube helps on pins and bolts. I know you know this but farmers should use it all the time the amount of times they move or replace parts. It makes life easier and helps bolts ,pins and parts last longer.

Great video guys. We make these couplings and SCV couplings at Parker in Wisconsin. The case drain line also has a pressure feature where it will disconnect if a high pressure is witnessed. This will save your seals on the motor case. The male will then bleed so excessive pressure doesn't get too high.

Nice work, however, when ever we needed to persuade pins and the like to move we always used hard wood to hammer on. This ensures no damage to the metal surfaces. AND the use of WD40/Grease makes moving parts slide a whole lot easier. There is also a benefit using grease, makes dismantling easier too.
