His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Been watching for several years and am saddened by what has occurred. However, your upbeat attitude in the face of this is to be admired. Stay strong in your faith!
Bc gets new equipment
@@air1060 new equipment isn’t always a positive. Still takes him a lot lot of work to get and find that new equipment, fight with insurance, set up the new stuff learn to run the electronics, lot of work. No one wants a disaster.
Always planting windows to deal with. Glad to know they are planting now.
Come on pal the shed would of been stronger if it was made out of cardboard and the silo looked as weak as an empty can of soda...I have NO idea why insurance companies pay out to these fackwit farmers who are allowed to build whatever they like and not according to any building codes...at the end of the day we end up paying for these fackwit farmers!
Having insurance....he doesn't care
The special effects this season are top notch. They really give the actors something to go off of.
Lol...cant wait for next season...
The effect budget Is a few million this year 🤣😏
Thank you for noticing! Redesigning the entire set was a lot of work for this season. Also building a "prop bin" from styrofoam was quite an undertaking.
@@MillennialFarmer nods, and greasing that sloped metal surface was a masterstroke.
@@MillennialFarmer are you going to get a new seeder or try fix the one you already have and is there any damage on the seeder with the big seed tank?
Only Jim would show up to see how things are when his own house needs work.
That's what neighbors do! Great people!!!
That's what real Americans do.

Next time Becky scolds you for being out in a storm remind her that she once braved a pile of lumber, sheet metal, nails, and mud in crocs. 😂

So far goose eggs and bruises.
Look at that!. Becky wasn't LOOKING for a smart assed answer, and one found her anyway!.
Hahaha the accent cracks me up.
This could have been a lot worse, and I'm real glad to hear Jim's house will be okay. And if your planting stuff is in decent shape...whew hang in there and good luck with the planting.
Thank you for sharing your life with us, even the ugly parts. Blessings during this time.
Man I love the support your getting through this channel, you've obviously inserted yourselves into the lives of others.
I'm pretty sure you're busted up inside but as long as you stay as positive as you seem to be it won't be long before this is just an ugly incident that you survived. Sincere best wishes for a good season. :-)
At least you don't have to pour a pad for a replacement bin. So you've got that going for you, which is nice.
That alone will save them a good chuck thankfully
A 60000 bushel bin costs a hundred grand!
Praying for you and your family so you get through this storm damage
Praying for everyone impacted by the storms. Prayers for safe clean up and planting season.
Thank you for bringing food to us and what you do . Prayers for healing
I really feel for you all even though I’ve never met you. Amazing how positive you are. Puts my own problems into perspective.
Im really sorry for what happened, great to see u are all doing great
I follow your program and am sorry to hear and see all the damage that has accrued to your farm. Glad your all safe and wish you a speedy recovery
Glad to see you are making head way on the damage. You have a great family there, what family really looks like. Great video as always. God speed on planting season.
Love you and your family Zach! I'm so sorry y'all are going thru this! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!!!!
Praying for your family Zach. So sad to see all the damage, but it looks like you should be able to plant when the weather gives you a window. May God bless
Glad to see family in a up beat mood. Playing for a great success in the fields. Stay strong. 🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜
It's great to see yous are all safe and yous will be farming in no time keep up the great spirits and much love from Scotland 🏴🏴
Hopefully you guys recover quick from the damage. Still glad everyone made it ok
I went through a cyclone here in Australia a few years ago that left us with similar damage. Yeah it’s a pain in the butt, but you’ll get through it. You have family and friends that will be there to lend a hand. Best of luck to you mate.
Good luck with the cleanup and rebuild. You have a great family around, thats what’s important. Thanks for the video. 👍👍
Just Love Your Family! Prayers & God Bless!
Praying for you guys I’m glad that y’all are safe and not harmed. There is a lot of clean up to do. Good luck with the clean up and god bless
Does removing the 2x4 fall under “right to repair” for JD. LOL. Glad y’all are safe.
Voids the warranty since it wasn’t installed at the dealer
Glad y’all are ok, awesome to see your spirits up!
Man, that sucks. I’m sorry you guys are having a rough start this year. I’m hoping and praying for better times for you all.
Love the sense of humor. It’s the one trait you have to deal with the stress. Sorry to see the damage. Congrats on getting in the field. Slowly but surely!!
I have a feeling one family member was"nt trilled to hear any kind of humor
@@MrWwayne1 you noticed that too?!?!

My heart goes out to you guys. I'm glad you're all safe and that you can kinda laugh about it. "Sometimes things go so horribly wrong that you just can't help but laugh". Stay Safe!!!
Glad everyone is ok equipment can be replaced!!! Your attitude is amazing again glad you and all your family and extended family are OK
Again, glad you are all ok, that’s most important.
Everything else is „just“ material and insurance work.
Still it is a pain (I dealt with a flooded house before….)
With all the farming channels out on UA-cam yours is by far the most entertaining to watch. Your attitude matches mine 💯.
Glad to hear that everyone is OK. Jim always says it best, "What a frickin mess".
I been watching the show for a little bit. I'm so sorry the weather came to your farm. Hope it will be all ok. Thank God you all are safe and God bless you all..In joy the show.
In a previous video you said that you were "running out of things to do", sadly that problem no longer exists. So sorry to see such damage. I wish I lived closer to help. Stay strong and keep the faith.
he jinxed it
Heartbreaking, especially Jim talking about the damage at his house. ☹️
At least you are all safe, I hope it's all sorted soon.
Best wishes from the UK
Loads of damages/distraction to clean up and good to see the positive attitude and everyone taking part. Best of luck this very busy time!!!
Its great to see you can all still have a laugh and a joke in what must have been an extremely upsetting couple days to the whole family and all those around you.
Been watching you for a year now and love watching you and the family farming.
I’m always in awe of the power of wind. Reminds me just how powerless humans are. Keep up the great attitude! Faith, hard work and a good attitude will help you make it through.
A lot of old memorables disappear - but there will be a lot of new ones! Take it easy even if it are a stressful time. Concentrate on what you really need just now. You can always clean up later!
As a Fire Officer I've seen so much people get medical problems in the beginning of aftermath. Ps. A cordless recipro saw is a good tool to make big Chinese Puzzles simpler to solve including rafters over equipment. ;D Good luck to family and friends!
It devastated me to see what happened. Prayers from my family to yours. Keep everyone updated Zach.
The resilience of you and Dad is amazing!
We had a hell of a time cleaning up after the 2020 Iowa derecho and it just hurts to see all the destruction. Glad to hear everyone’s ok
That was one of the most painful videos to watch
At least you and the family plus two dogs are all good 👍
Keep doing what you do and stay safe
So sorry to hear and see your loss of your shop and the damage to your equipment. But it so great to see that your family and you are all safe. Know that prayer are on the the way.
This breaks my heart for all of you and all other farmers affected by the storm. Most important thing is that y’all are alive. Sending much love your way. Greetings from Iowa.
Geez I just can't imagine Zach! So sorry for you guys having to go through all this. Just awful!!
I'm always super worried every time we get a severe storm coming through here.. I live in central Kansas, yeah we get really severe storms here in this area all the time. Especially this time of year.. Spring time.. Tornado season!!
I've invested so much time watching your channel, seeing this hurts. I'm just glad you guys are all alright!
We'll be alright, and the new shed will be fun to watch go up!
So sorry for your losses on the farm there... I hope you have a smoother transition getting back to normal.... praying for you and your family.
I love hearing y’all talk your Minnesota talk especially when you’re not thinking about it. It just flows.
Poor Jim. It'll probably be hard to keep his house in tact with all the supply issues. First time we've ever seen him without his face beaming from ear to ear. Good luck Jim.
It’s all so disorienting with the damage. Looks like you’re making progress clearing it out though, and even if it doesn’t feel fast, slow progress is better than no progress. Again I say, I’m so sorry this happened but so glad you all are safe!
Stay strong and you and your family will persevere. Glad to hear a “that’s what she said”. Haven’t heard one in a while.
It’s good to see you in good spirits even after a disaster. Zach you and Becky are a true inspiration! God bless all of you
Glad to see that everyone's ok and 'it's only' equipment that got minor damaged. It can always be replaced, people can't. We Brits may complain about the weather a lot (heck we complain about everything ...) but at least it's generally benign !!
Hope the farm recovers quickly, Zach. Isla's hands up and the 17:45 photobomb are classic! 😂
I literally had a gut ache all through this video.
Glad you are all well and safe and you’re a gutsy family!
Best wishes to you all.
It is sad to see that this has happened. But I'm glad to see that you are recovering, and no one was hurt!
It’s a good day when u post keep it up
Wow, that is one heck of a lot of progress Zach.
I have my fingers crossed that the equipment will have survived without too much damage, and the dealer can give it all a clean bill of health.
You have very able people around you, and it seems that you were early on calling your friends with the excavator. I can see his services being in demand for a few days.
Keep on keeping on, and the best of luck from here in sunny England (I can't say that very often, lol).
Neil :-)
You guys are handling this situation way better than most!! Keep the faith!!
Stay the course young man, you will win. Thank goodness, as I understand it, no one was hurt. Thanks for the update sir.
Love the “make fertilizer affordable again” shirt lol keep it up hope you guys recover good from this storm
When you actually know this planter has a brand new value of 200k. You understand why it physically hurts
Mother nature is incredible! Scary too.
Glad you're all safe 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Thank God everyone is okay! You will build back better!👍😊☀️👋👏
This sucks so much Zach, hope for the best that harvest goes as good as can be...
Jim 😂 “I know it’s a frickin mess”. You guys even in the toughest situations know how to make us laugh. Glad you all are ok and I bought some merch to help support. Keep making amazing content and hope things get better soon

It looks like there was a lot less damage than I suspected from your previous video. Most of you equipment is salvageable at least. If you can get your planting done, you might end up with a pretty good year.
God, what a life you farmers have...
Awesome Video, actually brought tears to my eyes. Stay Strong. Thank You !! H.
I’ve been watching your channel for a few years, this brought tears to my eyes.
Man...sorry this happens to you guys
Glad you guys are alright and sorry you got damage like that. I'm just disappointed you didn't take the tractor to the dealer with the 2x4 still in the roof
You are in our prayers, just so glad y’all are okay!🙏🏼
With all that damage it’s great to see that your family is safe and well!
Hey brother man, you definitely got the opertunity to highlight the value of insuring property.
Still my heart goes out to you and all those in that immediate area. Haven't been a Minnesota farmer since 1981 myself. Around the maple lake,Annandale area.
Had a bad accident on the farm when I was 9y old got burned 50% of my upper body..
Accidents happen, but knowledge, safety, assigning tasks according to age. These things will help. And parents really have to train and instruct children b4 allowing them to do things. Sadly my parents were not typical teachers, so please love your Children, train, traen,, instruct, then demonstrate. Love you videos. They really make me miss farming
Sorry to hear what happened to you as a kid. I have heard that farming is the MOST dangerous profession. Worse than being a cop or a firefighter.
Thanks for your kind words sir
I know there a tornado season over there, but on a "normal"-scale, how is this doing? Glad to see all are OK
Zach, I am so sorry for all the damage to your farm. Glad you and your family are safe and sound. I'm praying for you to have a successful season
Watching this brought tears. I have been following you and your family from the beginning. This felt like this has happened to MY farm.
Hi
One of the Welker's videos about erecting new grain bins showed how they ordered extra support (verticle & wrap-around) to better resist wind damage. Would that work for your farm?
I'm amazed at how great of an attitude you have for what has happened to your property good luck with all that you have going on
Glad to see you are recovering, its gonna be slow and tough but you can make it:-) Keep up the good work and attitude. Thanks alot for taking your time to update your viewers in this trying time, cant imagine it is fun to carry a camera around this mess, I appreciate it very much. Stay strong Johnsons Best regards from Norway
Tell Onyx to get his hands out of his pockets and help move the damage!
I'm prefacing this with "I have no idea"... Were the cold shed doors open during the storm? If open, I can see the open ended shed acting like a big parachute, catching all the wind's force, and blowing itself apart. I freely admit I have no idea if having the doors closed would have saved the shed.
The tractor that had the planter attached was standing outside the shed, didn't fit fully in. But I think too it wouldn't have made much difference as it looks like it just collapsed and got pushed over from the side.
When the wind would have lifted it up it would have looked different.
In a tornado you actually should open you windows to get equal air pressure to prevent you roof popping up.
In a storm we had all of our wire reinforced windows cracked on the shop
It put such a big smile on my face when I saw your Dad in his new shirt! Great Job Zach! God Bless you, your Family, and your Neighbors and everyone effected by this. ❤️😌🇺🇸🖖🏼
So glad your family is ok. Sorry for your loss of equipment and buildings.
I am very happy to see you taking the time to show people how devastating Mother Nature can be. I wish you guys the best of luck to getting back into the fields and get to planting soon.
Hi guys Sean here from Ireland so sorry to see what damage the tornado did to yet mighty setup . Once your family and workers are safe is the what’s important. Machinery and sheafs can be replaced . God bless ye all out of bad comes good 👍
Very impressed with your demeanour and sense of humour in the midst of a crisis. Sorry to hear about your troubles but at least you guys are successful enough to have the resources to get back to near normal so quickly. I remember a tornado on our farm in Manitoba just North of the US border and it wrecked our machine shed back in the 50’s . We found pieces of the sliding door a half mile away.
Man I’m sorry to see this. Glad everybody is okay. We lost our machinery barn 3 seasons ago. We’re still finishing the shop. Prays your way.
Hope you are safe. Praying for your community.
Hey Zach, this storm came through my hometown of Castlewood, SD too. Lots of damage and still cleaning up today. Hope all is well there!
Heart breaking, thankfully u are all good.
Been following for some time. Really enjoy the videos. You guys are part of the backbone that keeps this country alive. I chose to fight to protect it myself. Keep your head up young man. You and your family are ok. The rest is just material. Looking forward to the next one.
