    Question: Did that girl escalate to the point of screaming because it maybe directly affected her life, unlike your life where you were able to stay detached? It's easier to remain calm when it's not super personal to us.

    I agree. It's wrong to indoctrinate children. Indocrinating your children with religion is no different than this, and you are unsurprisingly refusing to acknowledge your cognitive dissonance. Abstaining from indocrinating your children with controlling religious viewpoints is NOT the same as teaching a defenseless child that your christian god is real. Not only do you teach that this "being" is real, but you teach that he is punishing to those who do not follow him. This statement you made is a false equivalency, but I fear you already know this.

Same with Disney, just because they have different viewpoints doesn't mean you can no longer like them. • @cucumber790
    @cucumber790 2 роки тому +48

    Loved the video but it disturbs me that you find Disney / other “woke” media as nefarious. Advocating for more representation from people that are not necessarily white, that have family dynamics that don’t look like yours, that want to offer comfort for people that don’t fit into their social circles or are different weather that’s due to sexuality or disability or living with parents of divorce, or who have been bullied - I mean those are all Christian values. Jesus’s life was dedicated in many ways to helping provide comfort, support, and advocacy for people that were outcasted by society in His time. It just always confuses me because I feel like there is so much common ground between both worldviews - equality, respect, love - loving thy neighbor as thyself. I mean that’s something every person wants despite political agenda, love, respect, and representation of those who need extra love has become a priority socially. Especially for children these are messages that are so important, to show love and respect for all people not just people that are similar to them. It reminds me of when in the Bible the tax collectors would think they were the most holy because they followed the rituals and prayed and followed traditions but Jesus came and said no, that is the bare minimum - the poor, the single mothers, the prosititutes, the disabled and ill. Jesus always advocated for people that were rejected by society the most - that’s what God wants.

    Nikki, have you ever considered that the girl responded with emotion and accused you of lacking empathy because you might have, in fact, lacked empathy? That maybe it's more than just "agreeing to disagree" when the views are directly harmful to a large community of people? For example, I've followed you for years even as someone with progressive views for the sake of "agreeing to disagree." It's difficult to do that when I hear misinformation, transphobia, and homophobia in your videos. I'm not saying this to get you to change from right to left, I'm merely pointing out that there's a reason why people get upset when you say things that invalidate experiences and, quite frankly, discriminate against others.

    Nikki, I am just sad after watching this. If someone cried over prop 8 and you didn't, you should feel very privileged that you've never been made to feel that your marriage or the marriage of someone you love is wrong. Instead, you're practically weirded out by someone caring so much about their marriage or the marriage of someone they love may have been ripped away. How is that trivial to cry over? It's literally the right to love. Also, yes, people want their love celebrated-- is that not why you, yourself had a wedding and CELEBRATED your love with Dan with your family and friends? What if all of your wedding guests RSVPed and said that you didn't deserve to celebrate your love?
    I also want to say that your views on abortion show a certain level of privilege. Do you know that the majority of women who have abortions don't want to be having them? I personally have a daughter with a terminal brain atrophy disease. I have watched her be born perfectly normal, to losing the ability to walk, talk, potty train, eat hard food, and communicate. She will eventually be g-tube fed. She will eventually need oxygen to live and go blind and then she will die. She has had seizures that have landed her in the hospital. People ask me all of the time, "would you do it all over again?" My answer is: for ME, yes I'd do it all over again because she is the joy and love of my life.... however, for HER, if I had known what she would have gone through in her life outside of me, no, I would have stopped it as soon as possible. You don't get to torture innocent people because your Jesus says so. Also, you do a whole lot of talking about how the left feels for someone not on the left. I think it's best that we all speak for OURSELVES.
    I'm guessing you don't like Disney because the Light Year movie had a same sex kiss in it. Did you get pissed at Disney when Anna kissed Kristof? Did you get pissed when Cinderella kissed Prince Charming? I'm guessing not because the only representation that should be in Hollywood is representation that looks like what your family looks like. Again, privilege - you are represented everywhere. Did you ever stop to think about what it would feel like if you weren't? What it feels like to not be seen or heard based on your gender identity, race, sexuality etc? Or does it not matter and we should agree to disagree because it doesn't pertain to you? I should have known that you only cared about cis white straight able bodied people being represented when you stated that you would not adopt a baby with a disability years ago.
    I stuck by you when the world try to cancel you and you are so not who i thought you were.

So this girl was crying because people wanted to make it impossible for her to get married and she was just supposed to be like, yeah, we can totally agree to disagree on this. What? We are talking about her right to get married. Either you are in favor of it or you're telling her, no, I don't think your love is worthy of marriage, I don't think your love deserves respect, I am not okay with you and your partner having the same rights that my partner and I have. @@medyamnv2236 Hi Medya, I never watched the Babysitters Club personally, but had a friend who had it on for her daughter one day after school. She was alarmed as in the first episode she quickly learned that they changed the classic Babysitters Club that i grew up with in the 90s to a transgender ploy on children - the main character is a transgendered child, who decided to change their gender at a young age and shows their friend their closet of "old clothes when they used to be a boy"- I was shocked when I heard this!
      I personally feel that this is indoctrination as no healthy child will want to change their gender unless they hear of it or see it on media!!! Therefore, media is giving children these ideas of gender change - which I believe is child abuse - children are not being children - these choices should not be available until one's brain is fully developed - the age of 25. Also, if children can't vote or drink - why should they be allowed to change their gender?
      Hope that helps to clarify!

    • @medyamnv2236
      @medyamnv2236 2 роки тому +3

      @@kirstynalmeida7761 oh wow, thank you for clarifying! I personally lean more on the left, but I too find the way gender dysphoria is being pushed a very dangerous trend. I'm sure that it's wonderful for transgender people to see themselves represented in tv shows, but we also have to be careful with normalizing something that should not be normalized. Transgender people are real and valid and I support them 100%, but children have no common sense or ability to analyze long-term consequences, so making transitioning seem like a day-to-day 'normal' thing is very scary. They don't understand grey areas, so this idea of 'I used to be a girl, these were my old girl clothes, now I'm a boy, these are my new boy clothes' is very confusing to them. If they sometimes like wearing clothes from 'the opposite gender', they'll assume that they must be transgender because that's what they saw on tv.... It's such a difficult subject, because you want to be inclusive and accepting of everyone, but you also have to be careful not to over-simplify something that is not simple and easy at all.

    • @medyamnv2236
      @medyamnv2236 2 роки тому +5

      @@Fallofasparrow I'm not saying that exposure 'turns you transgender'. I'm well aware that it's not a choice and that the concept existed far before the word even did. What I'm worried about is that children who experience gender dysphoria at a young age often 'grow out' of it and don't feel the need to change their gender after they've reached the age of 18-25. In med school we read about studies that showed that of children who report having gender identity issues at age 5-8, only 20% report the same issues after the age of 18, which means that they no longer feel dysphoric about their gender.
      So what I'm saying is that you have to be very careful with pushing the idea that it's normal for young children to go through a transition when research has shown that a majority of those children will very likely regret their decision after they've grown into their body and personality. Simplifying these concepts by having 'clothes from when I was a girl' and 'new boy clothes' makes it seem like an easy solution. Children who experience gender identity issues will see this as an easy fix without being aware of potential consequences and regrets.
      I do think children should be aware that transgender people exist and that it is something that is accepted, but not in a way that makes it seem so uncomplicated.

    • @cucumber790
      @cucumber790 2 роки тому +5

      @@karmichaelblue first of all we’re operating from completely different definitions here. Gender and Sex are different but related. Most people’s genders align with their sex organs, but while sex is purely biological, gender describes the social implications of being born a certain sex, it also implies agreed upon roles, norms, behaviors that certain genders have that have nothing to do with biology. For instance there is nothing biological about pink being a womanly color, wearing heals, or being more graceful. These things are taught from birth and evolve with society - as in this example historically pink and heals were actually both manly things a couple hundred years ago. In other non western cultures there are people that are considered third gender or a combination of the two, they are spiritual leaders and would not constrict themselves to the boxes of man or women. Gender = sex is a modern concept if you read much of history. In regards to your sex related comment There are also intersex people that make up the same amount of the population as people with red hair! That’s quite a lot, that have combined genitalia - neither male or female chromosomes, and some combination of sexes. Everything has nuance you see? And God made trans people and intersex people in His image just like all of us, probably to show the beautiful depth of felinity and masculinity in all potential forms

    • @cucumber790
      @cucumber790 2 роки тому +2

      @@karmichaelblue I also like this example. If a man, who really knew he was a man, was part of a science experiment where he replaced some of his body with robotic parts (which obviously have no sex or gender) and let’s say he gets his arm replaced because of an injury, next a leg, then the crotch, then parts of his face - is he not a man now? Because those parts have been removed. Even if everything but the brain remains this person will still consider themselves a man, although biologically nothing aligns with that - they are neither nor. Anyways, our souls know who we are, I don’t understand why we prioritize peoples genitalia > their brains when it comes to these matters. I know I’m a women because my soul knows such not because of my breasts, not because of my eyelashes or hips. If all that was removed I still would be confident that I was a women. For others they don’t feel attached to their sex and gender, it causes discomfort, it causes depression. There soul / brain isn’t aligned with their body - I really think it’s beautiful people choose to live authentically as they truly are! Trans people have existed for thousands of years, but as gender and roles have changed so has the way they’ve shown up. I think if Jesus was here He would want us to uplift and support our trans brothers and sisters, there is nothing sinful about it. There is not even slight mention about in the Bible except for eunuchs maybe? Also I’m sick of people saying it’s “woke” it’s peoples lives - You think people are getting top surgery because of their political views or attention. Trans people are the most murdered people in America by a long shot - no one would sign up for that unless there was no other option. We have to spread more love

      @@evidenceincreation9520 well Matt Walsh comes from an extremely biased conservative background and well to be frank is a MAN, so I'm not sure I trust him to understand the nuance and beauty of womanhood, not to mention he has some sexist view about woman in general - again not someone I would want to be a spokesperson. Matt's normal media is roasting "libs" and wasting his time picking on teens on the internet for clicks- this "documentary" was made in bad faith, aimed at making a quick buck at the expense of others and edited to make everyone interviewed look stupid which is lazy journalism, how very Christlike of him. I can only imagine he is very fragile in his own masculinity or feels that patriotism
      is being threatened as a whole because I cannot fathom why else he made this. It goes back to people fearing "woke media" when I highly doubt Matt Walsh has ever made any genuine attempt to connect, understand, or listen to what people are saying in any earnest way, he will keep living in his bubble, people will praise him for it. I also think its funny he's acting like the idea that gender is innate when history tells us otherwise, its just a lack of education. I wouldn't say this a credible source, but I did watch it regardless so thanks I guess

    Considering the context that lately people like to react emotionally and not have a civilized dialogue, the fact that you present yourself as you are is brave, and I admire you a lot for that.
    And I agree that one side is pushing so hard that it kind of forces the other side to stand even firmer, which isn't good either, ideally you would be able to see both sides and agree to disagree, but I don't think that's possible with this indoctrinated generation.
