20:36 Can you do an update on this video? Pure Encapsulations Prenatal Nutrients no longer has the blend of methyl folate/folic acid as they removed the folic acid completely.
Hey! Love all the information but I didn’t want to let you know Thorn does have 110mg of choline . It’s on the second little page on the bottle. There are two pages of all the nutrients in it. Just a heads up. I chose Thorn!
Thank you for being awesome and sharing this with us. I learned a lot !
Thanks for making this video!!! It's convenient to watch and cross check options on the market 😊
I'm so glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the video! You should make a table or chart with your recommendations.
Thanks for this video! The way I gagged when you said to eat beef liver 😂 I wish I could stomach the smell or taste lol
Thank you for the video🤍 but in thorne prenatal vitamin A is mixed between carotene (450 mcg) and palmitate( 600mcg). As i read, palmitate (Retinyl palmitate) is not recommended for pregnant women. So isn’t the dosage of palmitate concerning?
Great video! Can you also comment on taking CoQ10 supplement? Thanks
It looks like pure encapsulations prenatal is unavailable at this time and no longer listed on their website through the link in description. Is there any other prenatal you recommend that has a combination of folic acid and metafloin? Thanks!
The best video I have found on Prenatal Nutrition !!! I cant thank you enough! You have answered everything I have been trying to find since weeks!! May God bless you. Two questions - 1) is 45 mg iron toxic for a person who is not iron deficient ?
2) thorne one now has 100 mg choline. So with this addition, which one is better out of the two prenatals for non-iron deficient ladies?
110 now
This has been very useful. Thank you
I'm so glad!!
@GrowingIntuitiveEaters, it looks like the pure encapsulations prenatal no longer specifies that it contains folic acid in addition to MTHF. Do you know of any other prenatals that contain both?
Thank you!
So glad it was helpful! ❤️
Thorne must have added choline at some point because today it does have it. 110mg
Fantastic explanation and recommendations.
Thank you! I'm so glad it was helpful!
@@GrowingIntuitiveEaters You mentioned Throne doesn't have a Choline but the new formula had everything needed . Seems this video is 3 years old. Need to update this video new new info
hi it looks like Pure encapsulations has reformulated its prental? Now I only see methylated formate? Can you recommend one that has it combined?
How does someone know if they have that mutation that prevents them from absorbing folic acid?
Hi! Thanks so much for this video! Would love to know what your personal recommendation is for starting a prenatal vitamin (how many months before trying to conceive). Thank you!
Hi! I can't give personalized recommendations over the internet because it can depend on a person's specific nutrient status. But 3 months before TTC is generally a good start!
@@GrowingIntuitiveEaters Yes, that makes complete sense. Thank you!!
May you please clarify the differences between choline, phos choline and phosphatides. Genestra has a supplement they call Phos Choline which contains 1200mg Soy Lecithin which on the label says yields 720mg of Phosphatides. Does that mean 720 mg of Choline since the supplement is called Phos Choline? Thank you so much for all your informative content!
Great video! Are brands labeled "chewable" mean you can literally bite into them and chew the tablet until it dissolves?
Hi, I’m trying to decide between the Thorne Prenatal DHA or the Thorne Basic Prenatal. Would you mind helping me decide, please?
You need both a prenatal multivitamin and a DHA. Mega Food is also good and more affordable.
Loved your video, it was super informative!
I started taking this prenatal but noticed the vitamin A level to be quite high at 2400 mcg (which is 8000UI) when most prenatals have 2400UI. I read more than 10000UI of vitamin A is bad so I was wondering if you would be concerned by this.
Thank you😊
In the Pure Encapsulations prenatal, the vitamin A comes from beta-carotene. Our bodies will not convert beta-carotene to active vitamin A if we have excess amounts, so the volume in this supplement is not concerning! We have pretty awesome regulation systems to prevent toxicity - WAY COOL!
Hi, do you have calcium brand recommendation that's safe during pregnancy?
Hi! This is a question better directed towards your OB, midwife, or dietitian.
THANK YOU!!!
so glad you found it helpful!
I take iron by itself in evening before bed.
What do you think about the Needed Powder Prenatals? I love all of the nutrients in it, but the only thing that throws me off about it is the Vitamin A level!
i think the cost of this product is exorbitant and there are plenty of great prenatals that are much less expensive
Do recommend the pure encapsulations DHA as well ? There's no DHA in their prenatal formula ...
They have a few different DHA/EPA formulas...not sure how much should be taken with a prenatal
I love the Pure Encapsulations EPA and DHA! I take it daily, but it is important to check with your care provider before starting any new supplements!
Pregnant people? Pregnant women.
