  • UC Davis researchers have found that high-risk younger siblings of children with autism are less likely to be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, have significantly lower autism symptom severity, and higher cognitive scores if their mothers take maternal prenatal vitamins during their first month of pregnancy.

    I took prenatals everyday 2 months before pregnant and while pregnant… my son has autism… I am now pregnant with my second… only took prenatals 3 months of pregnancy.. and have been now doing regular vitamins… I guess we will find out in a year if my daughter has autism too or not…

      Can you please update on your daughter? How is she? Did u notice any signs of autism?

      Hi so update is she is so far following her milestones if not more now she is about to be 13 months old and has this smirk on when she is about to do something 😂 at this age with my son that’s when he stopped talking and waving hi! He used to say dadda doggy and ba bye… my daughter is not saying any words yet did say up up when she was 9 months and then stopped as she started to learn how to walk…
      Another thing aside from prenatals is I only give her the “must vaccines” and I space them out every 2 weeks in case she does have a set back or reaction we will have an idea of which it was… my son around 13 months got his vaccines so it could also be that one of them reactivated the autism gene..
      again not a professional and not saying it could had been the vaccines but I am being extra cautions with what goes into her body!
      Also I breastfeed for 7 months as with my son only 1 month… hope this helps!

    So she is talking about 20% of kids have autism when the mother takes a prenatal but it's still important to take those prenatals? Did I understand her right? If so then why take the vitamins if the percentage is that high? It's a gamble.

      Autism is genetic it comes from the parents genes

      No, she's saying the younger sibling of a child with autism is more likely to develop the condition. However, taking prenatal with folic acid reduce the risk of that.

      Folic acid is man made and not absorbable or bio available, folate is what baby needs.

    • @feltingme
      @feltingme 2 роки тому

      Same here. Folic acid actually increases chance as it blocks folate receptors and doesn't allow even good folate from food to be absorbed. Just another lie we are being fed.

      My son has suffered autism spectrum since childhood and has battled with it all his life. But recently taking Dr Oyalo herbs have helped him get rid of it completely, his speech is vital and his social skill is perfect. I'm so glad and happy now

      As someone who grew up with two older autistic siblings that continually terrorized me, autism literally made my life hell. Even though I am neurotypical the abuse and trauma from them made me have some developmental gaps. Autism isn’t bad, it’s horrid, especially to a family with other kids.

      @@KaraB1353 I'm very sorry to hear that.
      like with all people there are good and bad examples. I am autistic and know several other autistic people and we've done nothing to be considered abusive.
      It's not the condition itself, but I can see where it may bring out the worst in some people. Again, I'm very sorry to hear what you had to deal with, abuse from your family, especially siblings as your peers is awful
