My dad m4v9 has a slight wobble like that between the upper and lower and I haven’t changed out the pins, will dd take back the rifle and fix it or what would be a good way to fix it?
Accu-wedge or some lowers have a fitment adjustment screw in lower receiver near the grip can’t remember if DD has it but that’s another option both are great.
Awe man, I feel your pain. I had a $1700 Kimber pistol that I scratched when putting the slide lock back in. I was so so careful but dang. Well, now you have your first ding and you don't have to worry about scratching it anymore. I have this rifle in black. Got the Geissele SD-E trigger coming tomorrow.. Just ordered a charging handle from Rainier Arms Avalanche MOD-2. I also have a Primary Arms 1-6x24 FFP scope coming tomorrow too. I actually have a Sig Romeo5 and Juilet3 magnifier on it now and just posted a plinking video of it. I'll keep it for another rifle, but I wanted a scope as I find I'm shooting longer ranges than I'm comfortable with using a red dot. Oh, I have the VG6 Epsilon muzzle brake on it with the cage that goes with it. This is a very good muzzle brake that won't break the bank. I have it on a couple of other rifles too. I think the muzzle brake is like $67 and you don't need the cage unless you are shooting indoor ranges. It costs the same as the brake. The guys next to you will thank you if you have the cage. But outside with no one standing next to you, it works great. Most muzzle brakes will piss off the guys next to you anyway, LOL. I kind of wish I had bought this color like yours. It looks great. Your setup is awesome. I have quite a few similar upgrades on my rifles, including my ddm4v7. To take any play out of the reciever, put an oring around the front reciever lug. Tighter than a billet matched upper afterwards. Try a 2mm×8mm o-ring preferably viton
Thanks for sharing your mods.... I just watched your Video 1 and 2 now and I’m wondering if the DDM4 V7 needs (must?) all these upgrades? Just asking because I just bought it, but I never had ANY rifle (or even fired one... yes call it Biden-Harris turmoil). Although I’m not rich ( it cost me $1.9k after tax) I decided to go all out because I don’t sell/trade things, ,and I didn’t want to buy a “starter rifle” then have to upgrade it. I just did the math and it costed me 2 M&P 15 sport II rifles... I think it is reasonable to assume the I have a good, nice, and pleasant-to-shoot rifle that will last “forever”. So, do I need to through MORE money on it to make it nicer? (....I’ve heard reports about the trigger not being fantastic ... I can do that 1-2 more years I think)
If you don't want to go all out on a trigger, but just want a nicer, crisp option, check out LaRue. The MBT-2S is a great competitor to the Geissele, and is only 90ish bucks. You could also check out the ALG ACT, it's a polished Mil-Spec trigger made by Geissele sister company. Great choice to dive in the deep end. You won't be disappointed with the DD. In the end, if you decide its not for you, you could end up trading it for damn near any other production rifle out there.
Hey the foregrip that came on it what did you use to take it off? I can't figure it out not t20 or t25 or even a 1/8 hex Allen key what is that screw size bro? Thanks
Rubber oring will fix the upper and lower form moveing it goes on the front of the upper where the pin goes through the hole on the upper at the front put a rubber oring around it u can buy them form the hardware store and lock it up she will be like a rock .
The play that you mention between upper and lower. Doesn’t the lower have a detent pin. I noticed that sig has that design so it won’t have a movement between upper and lower
I can't recall if it had a detent to adjust, it's not with me right now. It can also be due to the battlearms pins I installed. I will soon make another update video on it, I have since swap out to the geissele small parts.
Alpha Nation thanks for your video. Very informative. This is one ar 15 in my shortlist. Also was looking at gas piston ar . It’s has its own pros and cons too.
@@czts4778 thanks for the compliment. I do these videos hoping people would find the answers they need, as when I was looking up information about it before making the purchase. I did help someone here got a good deal so whenever you ready, let me know I'll pass the info maybe save you a few bucks Pistons are nice, and I must at least own 1. I have the lwrc IC A5 on my bucket list. Consider subbing. I have lots of new toys coming. Plenty of cans and SBRs.
I have this same riffle, it’s a OK riffle. I’m kind of biased because the BCM REECE has my heart. I do love both but my BCM has me a lot more relaxed on reliability compared to my DDM. Congrats on carbine! Do what it does best and get her dirty and run her!
that play can be a result of changing the take down pins. my DDM4V7 is really tight fitting with no play, something to consider
That was my exact thought.

The tiny bit of play. Maybe it’s your new pins
Very nice;-))
Still working on my DD and your setup is perfect.❤

Accu-wedge bro will tighten up the upper to the lower causing basically no movement
What about your red dot man?

O ring on the pin mounts to remove play

I would say just the trigger and that's is all you really need. Everything else is great, DD make good stuff. Good choice! Enjoy

What's with the finhernail ????
Cocaine
What's the plan for fixed sights and or optics?
Thanks for viewing. Got a Razor HD Gen 3. Soon to be mounted.
Nice, DD is top shelf,

Alpha Nation ok. Thanks
One of the reasons I bought my DDv7 was because there was absolutely no play between upper and lower.
That coke picky tho
Lol. It's not what it looks like but whatever floats the boat.
@@jieevo You play classical guitar or something?

you should cut those pinky nails off shows a different character in you back in my day it was use for one reason
Lol. You old school sir. I don't do anything like you think back in your day.
@@jieevo lol yes I am old school have a great day
It would look more professional. But do you!
Of course
You have lots of money so upgrade is not a problem
Lol, I won't say I have a lot of money , I just spend too much on what I like.
A ear plug will take up that slop
I just got rid of mine and bought a pws mk114 mod2. Much more solid than the DD
Yea?! I will look into it.
BS. PWS are heavier, less accurate, and have an odd recoil impulse from being a piston system.
PWS are trash compared to DD
