I love your setup based off the video you posted I went out and purchased the DDM4 V7 too along with the 3x magnifier and halo sight. I did make a few modifications to my build compared to yours. The first mod I did instead of spending $200 to upgrade the trigger on the DDM4 V7. I purchased the DDM4 V7 "Pro" which was only $200 more than the DDM4 V7 with the pro version you automatically get an upgraded trigger in addition to an upgraded heavier barrel, your barrel length increases from 16 to 18 inches. You also get an upgraded barrel compensator and a full gas system. My final mod was to add offset 45 degree hard sights instead of having the sights mounted on top of the gun. I used offset sights in case something happened to the glass of my halo sight and it would prevent me from using my rear sight
Just picked mine up 2 days ago. I put on the VG6 Epsilon break with the cage as I know it works. Have it on another gun. I went with the Sig Romeo5 and Juliet3 red dot and magnifier. Got a deal on the gun and red dot. Like $450.00 off if I bought it all together. Took it to the range yesterday and had to bring the red dot down 3 clicks and it’s spot on now. I heard the DD flash hider works good but I had an extra VG6 from another build that I sold before I put it on, so it had to go on this. Flat shooting with very accurate double taps. I had an extra Streamlight Strion and a mount that I stuck on it but I like your set up better. Might have to look into it. I kept the fore grip and the way I have my light set, I can reach the light button with my thumb so it works. Gonna have to see what Olight has going on with a wired on/off switch as those lights are fantastic. Thanks for posting. I might have some video footage by late this evening myself.
PNW Sportsman ua-cam.com/video/piPhIrYkHsQ/v-deo.html. Here’s the link. I show the light near the end. It’s the PL Valkyrie Pro 1500 lumen with the pressure switch. I did some mods too. Added a PA 1-6x24 FFP scope and a Geissele SD-E 2 stage trigger. Shoots good out to 500 yards.
Its almost the best rifle ever. You need to do the following: Geissele Trigger Super Dynamic Combat, Geissele H2 Buffer and Super 42 Spring, Geissele Ultra Duty aluminum trigger guard, Geissele takedown pins and mag release, remove the grip and replace with a grippy and better angled magpul one, radian talon 45 degree aluminum safeties, upgraded bolt catch/release, upgraded charging handle (Radian or Geissele), and the B5 sopmop stock. ...oh and before i forget, remove the flash hider and install the Surefire Warcomp (add rocksett). That should all come to around 1k. You already have awesome optics, i do prefer the Vortex Solar or Aimpoint MicroT2 along with a scalarworks mount. Also, the magpul iron sights are a bit lower profile and pretty awesome. Enjoy in good health!

Love your setup. i have the ddm4v7lw upper on a bcm lower with a flat 3lb Velocity trigger. sweeeet gun. i have the vertical dd forgrip and that helps with he heat. It gets warm, but is still top of the line. I love my ddm4v7lw.
I'm not sure if you found a solution to the beard hair problem, but I recommend getting some specialised tape to wrap the rubberized part that is bothering you. Hockey stick tape is probably the best option.
Very nice! However, I have a DDM4V7 as well, but the best rifle ever is my Radian Model 1 that I upgraded with a Proof Research carbon fiber barrel topped off with a Nightforce ATACR 1-8.

I found a MK18 Law Folder never fired used in a pawn shop. Expect a lot more new-used guns to show up. Some new gun owners impulsive loss, because they realized if there’s no government to protect citizens you have to protect your own, can be your gain. I’m assuming the liberal wife found out and made them sell it. Start looking around.
So, the rubber doesn’t pull my beard hair at all. I can rub it all day and it doesn’t bother me a bit. It’s where the stock meets the buffer tube that wiggles back and forth that grabs my beard hair. Just like the keltec sub 2000. I had to change the trigger cause it sucked. The dd magazine can get stuck in there if you smack the bottom of the mag . Dd calls it over insertion. I’ve talked with them about it. That can get you killed if you ever needed it. They said just run pmags. Also the buffer spring is very loud and annoying. Wish I knew what to change it out with. Over all it’s a great rifle though once you change everything about it lol. The dd mag does not stick in any other rifle no matter how hard I tap the bottom. Also the recoil for some reason is very tough for 556 I mean it’s not terrible. We are talking 556 but I don’t understand why it kinda beats my shoulder up. It’s a mid length gas system that is supposed to make it better.

Nice! I have a DDM4 SBR (300 BO), a DDM4V7p (5.56) and a DDM4V7s where I swapped out the barrel and BCG to 7.62x39. I also have a 16" build in 12.7x42 (Beowulf). I would like to change the trigger in the 12.7x42 to Velocity. Love them all.
I love this rifle. Question is, do you have any issues with your trigger reset? I've seen two examples of trigger reset issues when aftermarket triggers where installed. How is yours doin? Thanks

I’ve ran 7000+ rounds threw my V7. Never had 1 malfunction. My go to rifle! I also have the V11 SLW and also love that one. But there is just something about the V7 that I love.
I was looking to add the Velocity mpc trigger on my ddm4 v7but was concerned that the stock trigger guard couldnt be replaced because it is a one piece grip & trigger guard. Velocity seems to recommend a replacement trigger guard to add more clearance. Did you have any issues with clearance with the mpc - flat faced with the finger catch?
Can you not change out the stock on a DDM4V7? I've watched tons of videos on this rifle and no one, NO ONE, has ever put a different stock on it. I'm new to ARs so forgive my ignorance, but are there just some things on the platform that you can't change?
DD owners leave it on so people know what we are shooting. It’s a subtle flex😅 A buddy of mine saw me at the range weeks ago and watching from the glass in the lobby. He said when you’d get that DD?, that’s money my man. People know that stock!
hey man, so what's the difference from the v7 and the v7 pro? I just ordered one from my local gun shop. I told the worker I wanted the Pro, but I noticed on the receipt he put the standard v7. Is this something worth mentioning? (just charged me for standard). I'd like the 18' barrel but other than than, is there much of a difference between the two?

Haha I have one on my MK18 build- it’s definitely a lot better. I may just do that!- The only thing that’s not stock on this rifle is the trigger (Geissele SD-C now)
I actually switched it out with a Vortex Razor HD 1-6. I wanted to love the Eotech but the fuzziness of the reticle kept nagging me. Could be just the green reticle as I’ve heard it’s worse than the red but who knows. I’m extremely happy with the Razor though she’s a heavy bitch
I have both love them both they are not going anywhere I got the ddm4v7 custom not many videos on it , it comes with the same geissele trigger as the pro a radian raptor charging handle and muzzle brake and its cerakoted milspec brown for $1,799

Best rifle ever? Sure it is top tier along with Lewis Machine and Tool, Knights Armament, BCM, H&K mr 556, LWRC, and Radian. But best...I reach for the Knight Armament.

I absolutely love mine stock I put a holoson green dot on it at 75 yards hit every time love it no heat trouble what so ever

I haven’t had any issues- Maybe 500 rounds through with the Velocity Trigger. Hope this helps!

Can’t go wrong with DD or BCM! The good ones aren’t cheap. But once cry once. I was in the same boat. Totally worth it

PNW Sportsman 50yd zero on mine. Went back to 200 to confirm and put 5 rounds well within the diameter of a Coke can. Way more the rifle than me.
Definitely can’t complain about that! I’m taking mine out tomorrow and will hopefully get the same results!

Yes it comes on a mil spec buffer tube so can be easily swapped if you need. I think a lot tend to leave it on just so you know it’s a DD haha

Yea difference in the Pro 18” barrel, Geissele S3G trigger, radian charging handle and safety selector, and rifle length gas system.

No prob- Hell of a first! Congrats- I prefer the 16” barrel and you can always swap out the other parts if you want but you definitely don’t need to.

I actually switched it out with a Vortex Razor HD 1-6. I wanted to love the Eotech but the fuzziness of the reticle kept nagging me. Could be just the green reticle as I’ve heard it’s worse than the red but who knows. I’m extremely happy with the Razor though she’s a heavy bitch
PNW Sportsman that’s where I’m at the razor or the EOTech I have been told to go with the red and not the green for that reason
Nice, yes the magnifier setup is badass. I’d look at one up close (I didn’t) before you decide. I’ll do another vid with the Razor here soon.

BCM are excellent rifles as well. Both are in the same realm of quality.
I have both love them both they are not going anywhere I got the ddm4v7 custom not many videos on it , it comes with the same geissele trigger as the pro a radian raptor charging handle and muzzle brake and its cerakoted milspec brown for $1,799

Best rifle ever? Sure it is top tier along with Lewis Machine and Tool, Knights Armament, BCM, H&K mr 556, LWRC, and Radian. But best...I reach for the Knight Armament.
