imo the only thing that needs to be replaced on the ddm4 is the trigger and charging handle, replacing the pivot pins is a good touch if you plan on using more than one upper on a lower.
you really want to play with the gas block here? a good option would be to leave the stock gasblock and go with an A5 buffer tube/receiver extension, Sprinco green spring, and A5H2 buffer. That will smooth out the classic DD gassing issues with suppression.
My SD-E trigger arrives Monday. Along with the PA 1-6x24 FFP scope with throw ring and American Defense scope mount. And a BCM charging handle. And 20 gen3 PMags. Already put on a VG6 Epsilon break with the cage. Already put on an Olight PL Valkyrie 1500 lumen light with pressure switch. 500 rounds already and not a flaw. Also have Magpul Pro BUISs on them and bought 45° M-Lok pic rails for them once I mount the scope. This gun rocks. I still have 5 ARs that I built and two of mine rock as well. The other ones are just for fun. But out of the box, this DD is the best complete AR I’ve ever owned. I think I’ve bought 12 complete rifles over the past 20 years, built more than 10. This is my favorite one so far. Make an update video when you get it all together.
I used the same grip just without the trigger guard. I love it. Charging handle to me is a must replace because I don't like how the one sided Large latch feels. Thanks

If you like me who cares about looks and performance, I say go with either this brown or the gray both looks good. Can't go wrong with black but its boring. They are the same price no matter what color, I got it from kyle@ eurooptic he hooked me up but if you have a local shop that you deal with and if the price is right , I'd say go support the local shop and sometimes they have better deals. Either way. Good luck and you will enjoy it.

I got the 14.5 compete upper. Hey check out radian lower pretty sick. It’s always nice to extra parts .

Agreed for the most part. The grip-n-rip charging handles on newer DDM4s is really nice. I have one on my M4A1.
