No that's just how PoE1 is. You can play for thousands of hours and come out knowledgeable about less than half of the game. We don't disparage players for being noobs at thousands of hours, that's just how big the game is.
Have you cleared all the end game content without a guide or not? If you have fair enough, but if not, there is a reason people say things like you are new if you have less than 3000 hours, it's a difficult game to figure out, I consider myself as a noob at this game and I have 1500 hours, maybe I am dumb though.
Personally I think the ascendancy choice being permanent makes sense. It's essentially a subclass and its normal for subclass choices to be permanent in a lot of cases. As for the ascendency choice being early as a point against it being permanent, I would actually use it as a point for it being permanent, if it was later I think it would hurt a lot more. However, maybe in early access when people are trying things out and play testing things, it would make more sense for it to not be permanent. It would be silly if they make it permanent in EA and then after launch you can suddenly switch.
00:25 That's how it's supposed to be. You choose your class. You choose your specialization. You play the game. Make another character to chooser another specialization. Isn't that the whole point of the grind?
I also don't understand that. Respec within the ascendency you chose is fine because you may have made a mistake but changing ascendency completely? If that's ever allowed it should be a removal of ascendency and completing all trials again, not a couple gold coins. Edit: at this point why not allow changing position on the tree or class? The whole point of the game is to make multiple characters per league.
@@HalIOfFamer See you say that, and I do agree. Yet games tend to succeed MORE the LESS they force the player to split their emotional investment. The want to just spend the effort to make THIS character do the new thing as well. Not abandon their old character. That trend is even true in POE. We are.. unfortunately, the minority here, I think.
Yall worried that perm ascendancies too early is an issue but don’t push back on games you pick a class when you start. Some choices should be permanent.
I tried playing poe1 a couple times over the last year or two and kept dropping it in the opening hours, all the currencies and massive skill tree felt too daunting/intimidating. Seeing the hype for poe2, alongside the quality of the footage shown up to EA release, convinced me to buy in and its been very worth it. Been playing Monk and haven't followed any build guides, finished the normal diff campaign last night with few issues and next I'm gonna run a warrior. It's been a very satisfying experience so far, very excited to try out all the classes.
It’s my first time in PoE. Played most arpgs so not completely in the dark. It is slow. Which I love. And I have died only once with the boss in the cemetery. Playing sorcerer. Taking my time with it. Love it so far
I think the PoE players are finding it hard because they're used to knowing it all and racing through the campaign, I'm taking my time and I'm loving it.
I died to the first witchy enemy that casts the pentagram on the ground. I didn't notice it hurt that bad. 😅 Apart from that, smooth sailing so far (mercenary) but I take my time.
Its not that hard. I played some PoE1 (about a 100 hours) and I'm not struggling yet, but am still in A1. Just don't run into enemies like an idiot and you are fine. There was a boss that beat me, but then I just waited a level and found an item and it was all good.
Only played 50ish hours of POE1. I feel it’s more different than it is harder. I feel I’m enjoying 2 more because there’s more interaction required for 2 where 1 I feel it was more one button. I could see where there’s frustration coming from someone who has hundreds or thousands of hours of the first that doesn’t remember what it’s like not knowing what exactly to do.
Wait, 2 mins in and guy is glad that creat9ra don't get codes so he can experience something for the first time with his audience? He is aware he makes the choice to play it early....
I really like the slower pace and more difficult content of PoE2. I seem to be in a bit of a minority, but I do NOT like the path most ARPG's have taken, where they're so fast with so many spell effects going off that it's just blinding.
i like the hard part about poe 2 game i hope they not change that just need balancing the some part of the game..poeple complain this game but hard the is intentionaly if you change the game will be bad as a product
Mmm I disagree, I would have liked build guides. Or some sort of info on game. I had two friends already quit with no plans on coming back and a third who won’t play because he’s played POE1 and doesn’t believe it’s any more user friendly. I would also say it’s not the whole player base that there with you. Your viewers perhaps (maybe that’s what you said) as they are more die hard POE1. You can just not spoil it for yourself which is what I do with almost every game. This game is way too complicated for new players for that. It’s still the elite at the top and new players at low levels frustrated because the are dying and don’t understand any of it. Mostly followed by “better than thou” POE1 players talking ish. This is pretty constant in game chat. It is game chat lol I get that but it’s not helping. Which is fine if you want it to possibly be niche again after selling well in the opening. There have been some helpful people here and there and shout out to them. It may be a bit different but it’s so similar in so many ways that you have an enormous advantage if you have played POE1. I think I will finish out a league and consider my 30 bucks worth it and drop out since my buddies dropped out. I wish the game the best though :) GGG seems to have been great so I like to see the win for POE players. Just my opinion. I could completely wrong, just going off what I see and I don’t claim to see the whole picture. For the record I do totally understand your argument and get why you like it full blind completely. Especially for die hard fans.
I don't get what you're making end statements about the entire game when it's literally been out for less than a day. It's in early access and has half or less of the content and updates that it's going to have when it releases.
I've played very little poe1... Tried a couple times but I think act 3 is as far as I ever got. I did play a lot of D4 and older arpg's. I do find the game is a lot simpler, for a couple reasons. No longer need to juggle the coloured sockets on items, no longer locked into certain stats with your build because ever stat node can now be every stat, can just select skills from a list instead of having to figure out where to get them, respec just costs gold instead of this weird currency that I don't know how to get more of... Just a few coming to mind. Now that is simpler, not easier and they clearly communicated in advance that the game is not easy. So far I'm not having much trouble myself though, but I'm still in act 1, taking my time, and I'm playing a ranger. Could we be that melee has a harder time.
@@finraziel that’s awesome and glad you are enjoying it. I agree it’s much easier for me too, when it comes to understanding the gems for sure. It’s not the difficulty of the game itself in most places. I found it easy all the way to the Count. It’s the difficulty of understanding the builds. It was the very end of ACT1 that caused them to quit though. I even went from wrecking everything all the way up to the counts door to going in and feeling like I lost half my DPS and defense. It was a pain and a jarring loss. Like my build literally felt amazing until I went in. I couldn’t tell you if it’s my build or not because I can’t look at a good guide or even an idea of what’s working and I am familiar with POE. Wouldn’t say I was good but have mapped a few times. They both said after about 2-3 hours of rearranging points they were done and wrote me and said I have to buy the next game lol
@@khrishp Making end statements? I’m only talking about this early access launch. All I am saying is if it launched with a better guide or guides it would have retained my buddies at least and I see people in chat super frustrated and the normal response is people running them off.
I don't think you know what you're talking about or you comment it on the right video because none of that is true. I mean, this might just be rage bait, but it's kind of poor rage bait. Lol
You do know what an early access is do you? It's not the same as early release... this game is a beta meaning it's not a finish product. But enough is finished to beable to play something.

My whole PC freezes on DX12 on loading screens. Not all the time bt it happens. I have to restart the PC to regain control of inputs.

I will play without guides and see how I go

I have two of the same stash tabs how do i refund. All my mtx from part 1 don't t work yet

The game must be soooo hard as a new player. I'm struggling with 3k hours in PoE and several thousand in last epoch/Torchlight also.

The class choice is made way before the ascendancy choice, with more influence and less information...

Every game doesn't have to be for everyone
china gets ur money for this game
so does virtually every single other game
why would I care?
This is Overwatch 2 with slightly more content. It is honestly lackluster af and wholly disappointing. Not even a legit sequel.
