Guy who was in the car with me if I can play For the Love of God, I said "Fuck no, that's way too hard" and laughed, he thought I was joking because "It sounds so easy, it's not even that fast".
When Thunderstruck came on after that I told him "I can play that one, that's easy" he didn't believe me because "If you can't play something as easy as that other song, there's no way you can play thunderstruck"
I mean, I guess it's the same for every instrument, but it's still extremely annoying.

In the original written version by marty that note is written as a small pinch harmonic, it was thought and played like this, a slight pinch not a hard one just to make a special dyanmic and prepare for whats next, it shows the guitarist being so in a rush to show you this amazing solo as You see, when played from the heart it gives him emotion and and the hands are shaking.
The backing track wasn't loud enough so when he shakes his head with disappointment it's coz he can't hear the beat timing over his guitar. Funny thing is he still nailed it. Awesome shredder

I tried learning the solo once and gave up after like 5 months. this is s so unbelievable hard. playing it whilst standing, alone on the stage, all eyes upon you, is even harder. you can see him wiping the sweat off the forehead right before the solo cause he knows this is gonne be THE MOMENT. totally nailed it. I cant describe how much I respect him for this. hope he is doing well. :)

For an example, the cover of blue oyster cults "Godzilla" that racer x did. Or, racer x - technical difficulties, or Dream Theater - Panic Attack. The list goes on and on and on and on and on and on...

2. Never seen ANYONE playing CORRECT the first 5 seconds of the solo (3:50-3:56).
2a. I saw this guy playing it spot on, notes and measure included.
3. In general, he nails the solo, just a couple of sloppy things in there. No other flaws.
4. He should be very proud of his guitar playing.

People never cared about this stuff, most people including ourselves have very basic knowledge of most things and only excell at a few if any at all. Most people dont put time and effort into learning a craft by choice and therefore dont understand the amount of time and sweat it takes, they just clap and woo because "that was pretty cool".

It’s the same reason people “ooo” and “ahh” when they see someone play the opening riff of ‘Thunderstruck’. It’s such a simple riff that really doesn’t take much skill to play but people are stunned because a.) it sounds cool and b.) because they don’t know how hard it is to do. They have no reference point for it.
