Once again, let me thank you and the team for the development of this car that I wanted so badly I was happy to pay Rydell a heft over cost of vehicle with options etc. just to get one of these. Secondly, thank you for the various efforts that you personally made to keep development of this car confidential for as long as you did and as long as was humanly possible. I have a color that doesn't look like yours but may be a sister color to yours, as mine is the Ceramic matrix Gray Metallic. 2nd longest name for a 2020 color option that I know of. Why these long names, only you insiders know for sure. I'm all for officially renaming any metallic color, "M," which interestingly might just stand for metallic. So down the road, I'd like to have a photograph of our cars taken together. Got to contact Spring Mountain shortly and take advantage of the driving school. My car, Tadge was built @BGAP on 02/20/2020. It's last digits are: L5101063. When and independent guy writes a book, possibly someday, there will be VIN #1 for the 2020 C8 through the VIN that was last built on the assembly line prior to the first Covid-19 virus assembly line shut down in history. Or, maybe not. Either way, it is part of the Mid-Engine production Corvette history. There 's one young man who you should know about, if you don't already know more than I do. He is THE person who stands out to me more by example and the way he carries himself. He is an internet vloggerr with quite a following. His name is Austin and he goes by the name of, "Speed Phenom," and he has among the most proffessional presentations. But more than that, his example in the C8 is probably responsible for a lot of young people wanting the C8, even more than all of the planned, non-planned and developed GM events, than any other one person here in the USA. There is Emelia Hartford who everyone knows: Emelia Hartford. very fun and charismatic and a following because she is a B movies star and does a very good job of presenting her vlog as well as having other followings. However, she is not the number 1 amazing, happenstance representative of the Corvette C8. My selection is Austin who's professional vlogs include ordering the C8; picking it up at the Museum; driving the vehicle back to Southern California, where a lot of his trip was filmed with his equipment and where the highlight for me was his stop on an abandoned but functional race strip, where after the intial 500 mile break-in, he did some PDR zero to 60 runs. Edited for content, I'm sure, you could hear the excitement in his voice when he pulled off a 2.7 sec. Zero to 60 with his car, after experiementing with the modes a little bit. Next but certainly not least is that as far as far as I know he hasn't done anything to the car, not in the owner's manual. How many of the vloggers can say that? A precious few. And he has presented a variety of subject around automotive information in general and explained the different aspects of why he purchased a Corvette, what he's done with it, and what he expects to do with it. Further, his avocation and profession include use of computers and video. Hence the professionalism of his vlogs, which have far too many positive elements for me to iterate here. At age 18, he has already taken the car to Chuck Walla (Palm Springs area); Willow Springs (Los Angeles County) and Laguna Seca (Monterey) and acquitted himself admirably on the tracks. Further he has used a full driving suit, driving gloves and helmet combinations showing his interest in safety. He has then taken his LT1/Z51 and put it through its paces. I believe he also recorded an unoffical Zero to 60 run faster than 2.7. However, I have no proof of that. He's done under 11 seconds in the quarter mile. Finally, he's announced his plans to buy a Z06 and at least for now, says he will maintain ownership of his rare combination of car (likely very close to a one of one in terms of options) to use it as an every day car. He's allowed other people upon occasion to drive his car and given rides to his, "competition," He's announced plans to do a, "road trip," of race tracks around the country with his C8, although that has a lot of logistical elements to it. In short, I've never seen anyone of any age, do more to promote a car WITHOUT DOWNSIDE rearing its ugly head.
Amazingly, he was not ever interested in a Corvette previously in his life and I identified with this, since I was born in 1945 and was too young and poor to purchase a Corvette through the 1970's and not interested in Corvettes at all until my sudden introduction to the car through the various car on line magazines. Having owned and tracked some the greatest Shelby Mustangs in history and being in love with that marque and its history, he none-the-less, in a rather short period of time appears to be a, "Corvette Convert," whatever that truly is. Me too. No less unexpected, I still own a 2001 Mustang Bullitt from new and a Porsche 991. The Corvette is making those cars feel somewhat neglected. Austin has publicly stated that He owns three of the fastest and most top flight Shelby's, even acquiring a "track pak," as I understand it, Ford/Shelby's fastest track car. I would like to see Cheverolet investigate this young man and if all possible, provide him some sort of sponsorship and sign this kid before he becomes a billionaire and moves in other directions.
    Thank you for listening.

Fifty years ago, mankind took a giant leap and walked on the moon. This year, Corvette took a giant leap and showed us that the future is HERE! Thank you, Chevrolet.

The engine sound in the first video is not the LT2. Interesting. LT7 maybe?
