I have not been this excited about a Corvette since I was 9 and seen my first 1968 C3 in 1969 on the Queensway Highway in Arnprior Ontario with my Dad when I was 9. OMG, OMG OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING. What’s not to love about our new Corvette. To all, I bought my first new Corvette in 1977, black oyster interior. FYI , I was 17 and just finished high school. I was able to drive it off the transporter at my dealership in Mason City Iowa. I absolutely love the C8. I will be ordering the basic with only 2 options. 1 is the front lift, 2 is the Z51 package. Should be in the mid to low 60K range. I don’t want the rear spoiler. My color choice is still undecided. Thinking between 3 colors - white / silver with red interior or Bronze with the tan interior. With the Z51 package 0-60 less then 3 seconds ( WOW ) ENOUGH FOR ME. The engineering is incredible. Why anyone would spend so many $$$$$$ for a Ferrari / Lamborghini when you can buy this at 60K, just my opinion all. Why spend 100’s of thousands for a car that goes 1 second faster, maybe, lmao. GM nailed this . Talk with you soon Rick

The Z51 package is very tempting I have to admit and I already know how I will spec it! Rapid blue, kalahari interior, blue seat belts, glass roof panel, blue stitching if available, blue paddle shifters if available, chrome rims with blue brake calipers if available. Competition seats a must! However I’m going to wait for the Zo6 version 😍 it will be parked right next to my carbon 65 🤠 saving up for a hefty down payment 😃 GM is killing it right now!!! This new vette will sell like crazy!!! The European exotics have nothing on this new corvette, for 1/3 their price!!! 2020 will see a bonanza in sales for the C8! The future never seemed brighter for GM. Hail the new C8 Corvette! 😍😍😍🤠🤠🤠

TADGE was the ONLY one whose presentation was worthwhile. No emotion or genuine enthusiasm from anyone else. They couldn't even read their cue cards well. Love the compilation. I like how they ask, "how do you make a transmission feel mechanical, feel real, feel intuitive, feel like a corvette?" And added, "we listened to our customers who wanted a dual clutch." It's a lifestyle, a feeling, it's more than just performance.
Great compilation....by far the best ONE STOP information source for the epic C8....sad morning for Porsche, Mclaren, Audi, and Ferarri....corvette late to the mid engine game but now the BEST mid engine architecture considering low cg with push rod V8, dry sump lubrication, and custom Tremec DCT!! I'm betting faster shifts than the Porsche PDK, which has been the benchmark DCT in the market...long live CORVETTE!!
Thanks for the video Rick. Its pulling at me to buy this car right now. However, the smart financial side of me is telling me to wait a few years. My C6 GS is paid for no car notes so best to save for it. I think its time to move up to a Z06 anyway so I have some time.

Great Information on the New C8 Corvette Rick looking to see it hopefully on one of the east coast tour. Been playing around with the C8 Configurator gives you a real look at the car you can get the way you would like it's great to see what it looks like before you buy one. This video on the C8 is really great giving you more inside information on the design of the mid engine and the features to go along with it.
The car looks good till you hit the back end.......horribly ugky and cheap looking.....so bad.....front end a rip off of the 360 Modena. Not a fan at all.
Thank you Rick for this! The Z51 segment let me know I could configure this C8 like my current C7 Z51. This car it definitely a step that the Corvette should be in line with Zora’s Dream. I love my C7 as the top of its game, but the C8 is awesome. It is now a Super Car design that there is no limit where it could go. Kudos GM!

Rick, just recently subscribed to your videos, great information and very entertaining. Having driven the C8 it is one fantastic machine. Got back into the Corvette world last year with a 2007 Vert. I am planning on a 2023, for mine and the Corvette's 70th Anniversary.

Wow! All I can say is, “Wow!” Thank you Rick for sending this out. It is a great explanation and representation of the next generation C8. This is a testament of the hard work and dedication from GM and the entire staff that worked so hard to make Zora’s dream a success! Timing is everything and that time is now! If someone is not a fan and want one of these cars after watching this video, then they are not a fan. I can see now your enthusiasm and excitement all up to the reveal and beyond! I could not believe when Tadge Juechter said that the Z51 is doing 0-60mph sub 3 seconds. That means it will do the quarter mile just around 11 seconds flat! I thought to myself what the hell will the Z06 do 0-60 and 1/4 mile. Question about the gear box. I currently own a 2016 C7 Stingray. Every once in a while, I like to feel like a 12-year-old and rev the engine in Track mode while driving under an overpass or simply to show off in front of a Mustang or BMW. Since I have an automatic, I simply shift to neutral, rev the engine, wait for the RPMs to go below 1500, and then shift it right back to Drive. How will you be able to do this in the new C8 with that futuristic gearbox? (Readers: if you don't wait for the RPMs to go below 1500 before shifting back to Drive, you are in for an abrupt surprise.)
Still waiting on maintenance cost for like clutch changes. That's one of the only things that is going to hold me back. Beautiful car! The new interior is amazing.
Great Video Rick!! it points out a lot of things that we got talked to GM about that night and on Saturday that didn’t get explained well I felt. Few points that didn’t get said is blind spot mirrors were added and signal mirrors now and battery charger is in the front. Wish you could of been there with us. You will be happy to know I heard your name was brought up a lot to the GM executives on that you should have been there for ALL YOU DO FOR THE BRAND. I definitely mentioned it when talking to Tadge & Harlan 👍🏻.
Well Rick, thanks to this video the C8 is growing on me pretty quickly, but the overall shape of the car still says MacLaren to me more than Corvette. That being said, it looks like they knocked it out of the park with this one. I still think I prefer the C7, but I’m just an old guy (54) that’s been in love with Corvette since I first saw a Mulsanne blue one way back in 1971 😊

I think it's because there's no manual trans because they want to be able to shift themselves but now days we have Ferrari's, Lambos, BUGATTI's! All have paddle shift! no manual trans! One day all vehicles will be only button presses lol. If only we had anti-gravity technology so that cars could fly like in all the future movies and games.
A great job putting all the information about the C8 together. GM stock showed a little bump up on Friday. I've held on to GM stock over the years and this car should make it even better. [GM pays currently a 3.85% dividend on your investment, too]
What I like the most about this corvette is that it doesn't look like a corvette. It looks like a baby coming from a 3-some with a Ferrari, a NSX, and an Audi R8. For the 1st time in my life I'm actually thinking of buying one.

Especially how little Toyota invested, given it wasn’t even their design!
The car looks good till you hit the back end.......horribly ugky and cheap looking.....so bad.....front end a rip off of the 360 Modena. Not a fan at all.

Thank you Rick for this! The Z51 segment let me know I could configure this C8 like my current C7 Z51. This car it definitely a step that the Corvette should be in line with Zora’s Dream. I love my C7 as the top of its game, but the C8 is awesome. It is now a Super Car design that there is no limit where it could go. Kudos GM!

Rick, just recently subscribed to your videos, great information and very entertaining. Having driven the C8 it is one fantastic machine. Got back into the Corvette world last year with a 2007 Vert. I am planning on a 2023, for mine and the Corvette's 70th Anniversary.

I could not believe when Tadge Juechter said that the Z51 is doing 0-60mph sub 3 seconds. That means it will do the quarter mile just around 11 seconds flat! I thought to myself what the hell will the Z06 do 0-60 and 1/4 mile.
Question about the gear box. I currently own a 2016 C7 Stingray. Every once in a while, I like to feel like a 12-year-old and rev the engine in Track mode while driving under an overpass or simply to show off in front of a Mustang or BMW. Since I have an automatic, I simply shift to neutral, rev the engine, wait for the RPMs to go below 1500, and then shift it right back to Drive.
How will you be able to do this in the new C8 with that futuristic gearbox?
(Readers: if you don't wait for the RPMs to go below 1500 before shifting back to Drive, you are in for an abrupt surprise.)

Great Video Rick!! it points out a lot of things that we got talked to GM about that night and on Saturday that didn’t get explained well I felt. Few points that didn’t get said is blind spot mirrors were added and signal mirrors now and battery charger is in the front. Wish you could of been there with us.
You will be happy to know I heard your name was brought up a lot to the GM executives on that you should have been there for ALL YOU DO FOR THE BRAND. I definitely mentioned it when talking to Tadge & Harlan 👍🏻.
Well Rick, thanks to this video the C8 is growing on me pretty quickly, but the overall shape of the car still says MacLaren to me more than Corvette. That being said, it looks like they knocked it out of the park with this one. I still think I prefer the C7, but I’m just an old guy (54) that’s been in love with Corvette since I first saw a Mulsanne blue one way back in 1971 😊

I think it's because there's no manual trans because they want to be able to shift themselves but now days we have Ferrari's, Lambos, BUGATTI's! All have paddle shift! no manual trans! One day all vehicles will be only button presses lol. If only we had anti-gravity technology so that cars could fly like in all the future movies and games.

What I like the most about this corvette is that it doesn't look like a corvette. It looks like a baby coming from a 3-some with a Ferrari, a NSX, and an Audi R8. For the 1st time in my life I'm actually thinking of buying one.
Buy the Stingray without the spoiler makes the whole rear end look so much better!
