The Berklee guitar department has had a lot of success nurturing brilliant young talent; the late , great master, Mick Goodrick definitely contributed an awful lot as a teacher and mentor. RIP Mick Goodrich.
Some people are just not big fans of reverb. That's part of Julian's identity. He likes a pretty dry and unadulterated sound. I love both players, and personally, I've had a life long love of reverb & delay lines.
This is absolutely beautiful, but why is one guitar room sound and one direct mic feed? Sounds sonically very odd as well as the buzzing. But the music overpowers the technical limitations of course
Great music and fantastic musicians! I hope the overly loud guitar of Julian Lage was due to some recording imbalance and not a lack of sensitivity in the situation...
Tim Miller is so focused on each note. He's a genius.

Two chord voicings' masters and magicians ♥️
The two guitar masters having a deep conversation in a magical sphere. Pure art... ❤
reverb! Julian needs it on this video!
Absolutely stunning intro from Tim 😮
that ending is incredible
Two absoluetly goated guitarists in one room!
Wow Yes! My two favourite guitarists!
That is how it is done... wow ... just wow.
One of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard in my life.
6:03 I love these melody lines, it sounds like the song from the wizard of oz
Beautiful ❤

Super nice. But I wonder who turned off the reverb on Julian's amp ?

I think Tim uses effects (reverb even maybe some delay) and Julian just a dry guitar sound.
Does not mix very well infortunately.
Love me some Tim Miller!

Fabulous! Sounds like Lage is going direct?

Agreed, but I doubt it. Probably just little/no reverb and a mic close to the amp
I thought the same. I think its his lack of reverb, which pushes him in front of the mix.
2:02 is intense
What pedal does tim use?
Fm3
Very nice. Pity the hum noise is so bad.
