Probably should have mentioned this in the video, but I was too focused on getting the video out ASAP to get this game on people's radar. The game is currently accessible through a time-limited playtest that is currently running from February 20 to the 23. The playtest is free to sign up for, but the game will cost $15 USD when it goes into early access some time in 2022. Players who donate $10 to the Patreon I linked in the description will get a key to the game when it goes into early access, as well as some extra goodies like live developer updates in the discord and some exclusive weapon and character skins (and no, the game will not have microtransactions). I don't believe a console release is even being considered right now, but Steam Workshop and modding tools are currently planned to be released after it hits Early Access. Hopefully that answers a lot of the questions I've been getting about BattleBit. See you on the battlefield!

"Who needs cutting edge graphics when you have cutting edge gameplay" Sums up this game from what iv seen, not only does it capture the feeling of Battlefield, but you have ALL these little mechanics. YOU CAN FUCKING DRAG PEOPLE TO SAFETY, how awesome is that?
Who ever tought that focus on a compelling gameplay would make the game one thousand time better than hyper realistic graphics but deep as rain puddle? Crazy stuff
Being able to drag downed players to safety before reviving them is EXACTLY what has been missing from medic gameplay in battlefield. so happy to finally see a game implement it in a similar formula.
Because of sympathy for indie devs? Battlebit is more broken than battlefield 2042, accept it, when the hud doesn't tell who needs to be revived you can tell which game is better
I remember this game back from when it was just Battlebit, and lemme tell ya, its been a looong way. It started as a sort of low-poly Indie version of Battlefield that I quite enjoyed, but then went silent for a while and turned into the remastered version, which seemed a lot more like Squad than Battlefield. I didn't like the direction too much as I already enjoyed regular Squad, but its turned back towards giving Battlefield a run for its money so I'll probably get back into it. Another thing I didn't like was that play tests were, you know, play tests, not just early access. Servers were hosted by dev/s/admins, so playing it was inconsistent. But you know, beta testing, not an actual full game at the time. I'm glad to see it getting some good positive light though, and I'm really looking forwards to it being a better game than BF2042.
I’m not sure about squad level realism- in higher levels of gameplay, sure, but with that many troops and no automated command system (no automatically assigned officers or roles in high command) the fights would just turn out to be bloody mosh-pits and become a fast paced shooter with no regard for teamwork.
If youre a fan of the whole immersive stuff like medics dragging players to safety and reviving them, I wholeheartedly suggest you try out the game "Foxhole". one of the most immersive shooters I ever played.
I remember they added helicopters to the beta test for a match, but it ended up crashing the server and broke some code after the admins heli got RPG'd. Im glad to see its back and looking even better.

I really loved this game. There were times I would call for a medic to patch someone cuz I ran out of bandages, and when I was a medic, I would rush from location to location to help people. One time someone called me a hero, and if you want to level up. Medic is a good choice, but a well-distributed team is always the best.
Seeing the destruction, the mayhem, the aesthetic, and the gunplay is like a combination of all of my favorite games. From the old Ace of Spades style characters and destructable environment, the insurgency gunplay, the battlefield mechanics... It's literally perfect. Where do I fund these people?! I haven't seen a game like this ever.
BattleBit is still around?? Awesome, I remember playing the beta when it was still closed access. Even at that time it felt good. The last time I played was when vehicles were first starting to be tested.
As a Russian-English interpreter, I feel like I'll be able to have a ton of fun with this gem of a game. Imagine being a multi-billion dollar corporation driven by monetary gain and failing to make a game that's actually fun to play, and then being clowned on by a bunch of indie devs making a game with minecraft-like models that's similar in concept but actually enjoyable for your own core player base that you now have little hope of recovering. Although I heard they put Vince Zampella from Respawn Entertainment (Titanfall) in charge of DICE, so maybe he'll be able to have his way in convincing the management that "games have to actually be good if you want people to spend money on them".
This is literally 50% squad, 50% battlefield: the class mechanics are inspired by squad, while the shooting and movement are from battlefield. Really well-done!
