Being close to the Channel we regularly popped over for a weekend to Lille in France and Bruges in Belgium to visit the Christmas markets. Not been since before covid, so loved seeing this. In our book it is perfectly OK to share plates, utensils with the furry friends. We do with our three cats!. ps. If you have never been to Bruges, it is stunning and well worth a visit if your motorhome travels take you in that direction at any time.

Popping over for a weekend sounds lovely. It probably won't surprise you to hear that both Lille and Bruges are on our lists, but we are trying to avoid the bigger places for now, as we don't want to have to park too far out of the cities and travel in, while we have the critters. Smaller places are easier for us at the moment, unless we can find large cities with ground level carparks for motorhomes. (Not very likely) Our critters rule the roost.

@@findingxanadulife Lille is certainly nice at Christmas. Bruges is stunning all year round with its architecture, canal trips and horse carriages. Can give you a walking route before you visit if you like. We also love to drive out from Bruges alongside a canal stopping at Damm and then visiting a great little town called Sluis just over the Dutch border. Somewhere else we kept meaning to visit in that area is Genk, as pictures of there, look amazing too.
@barryweeks6037 We've added Slugs to our list, it looks fascinating. We'll have a look at Genk to see what is there, for if we get to those areas. 😘💜🤟
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year guys! If ever a video could make you want even more food even after festive indulgences, then this one did a good job 😋 French food sure is moreish. That potato thing Darren had...yeah I agree, must've been awful 😂 What was it called again? You know, because it was so terrible, we just need to know...
In order to help you avoid it, the potato thing is called tartiflette. We will send you the recipe so you also know what combination of ingredients to avoid, better safe than sorry 😉🤟♥️

Oh I did think Tartiflette as it was on the sign you showed and I'm sure you even said it, but it looked a bit different, creamier maybe, that made me doubt it. Looks absolutely awful anyway and I shan't be looking up a recipe to make one to eat in one sitting, not at all...

Wow, we had no idea..! Thank-you so much for telling us. It was a beautifully presented shop and we could easily have spent a lot of money there, had we entered. 🤣🤣
