Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think you can tame pets at a higher level than what you are.
Correct
Did i miss a patch note? this guy suggesting to tame 37lvl pet while being lvl 25? or the 27lvl spider while being lvl25?
How would someone go about taming a level 27 when the cap is only 25?
There is an addon called Pet Abilities that will let you know which creatures have what abilities before you tame them. So you don't have to wait til lvl 24 to get Beast Lore.
Dont you need to be the pets level or higher to tame it? Great vid!
Yeah.
A high attack speed pet is great in PvP to create the most amount of pushback on casters, but in PvE and with how armor dmg mitigation works in World of Warcraft, a slow (!) attack speed offensive type pet is preferable. A slow aps cat will hit harder per strike and thus the physical dmg will be mitigated to a lesser degree, all things being equal and provided the target isnt affected by a debuff that makes it take a fixed number of more physical dmg per hit (which i believe isnt a thing yet in this phase of SoD i think). Wind serpents are great pets right now not just because their lightning breath is ranged but because it is elemental type and thus ignores armor but in high dps raids with complete buffs cats might pull ahead.
Thanks for this. I was already thinking on this line so seeing it written out is perfect.
The Rake, a rare in Mulgore, has 1.2s attack speed.
Starving Mountain Lion, 1.2, Hillsbrad
If you dont want to wait for a rare spawn or Hillsbrad, Savannah Patriarch 1.3, NW Barrens.
New to sod/classic. I can't just use a lv 10 raptor all the way up to 25? And get all his abilities?
You can. Just have to tame other pets, use the skills till you learn them, then teach to your raptor.
cats in hilsbrad have 1.2 attack speed??? ALso lvl 10 cat Rake close to thunderbluff?? You dont need to go to SFK??
^
what's the best food to feed a cat pet and owl? I feel like I have to feed them every 5 minutes and it's annoying as hell >_
At first after taming them you will need to feed them often to keep them well fed. As your pet goes up in Loyalty Level (6 Best Friend being max) you won't need to feed them as much to keep them well fed. My Carrion Bird is Loyalty Level 6 and I only have to feed him every 20-30 min.
You forgot Carrion Birds, Bats and Owls who can all learn Screech, which is a realy good ability for tanking and hold aggro for mulitple mobs. And your title is a bit click bait. There lags a lot of information to be called Definitive PET Guide! Still a good Video, ceep doing and improving!
Always trying to learn and be better!
The Durotar tiger early on lvl 7-8 easy to find and is a respectable 1.3 sec attack speed.
really wish the macro seen @3:06 was in the discription or someone had written it in the comments to copy paste idk if i have enough fucks to sit here and type it out lmfao
even after writing said macro and testing it several times, i cannot figure out how to make it work even when editing it glad i wasted time
So there's a macro to figure out a pets attack speed and other than that what does this video teach anybody...? Nothing.
came here for information about stat inheretance but not a single word on that, this guide is seriously lacking tbh
Did you ever find info on this? I'd appreciate any direction!
@@sumguydatsdumb only from my own experimentation looks like aroound 40% of hunter resisist is given to the pet bot sure how much armor/attp and hp are taken.
Brokentooth was normalized to 1.2% years ago during classic vanilla... so much misinformation in this video lol...
Attack speed wasn’t normalized until 2.0.1 and were running on 1.12 fren :)
