Correction: Kill Command currently only works on bite and claw in the tooltip so won't work on gorilla
- however Pet abilites do scale more when on a long CD and higher focus cost, which Thunderstomp is both! - Ігри

what pet are you gonna start with? 1.2 or 2.0 cat, its like 2 talent points for 1.2 or higher flanking strike fo 2.0 cat? @naturetvz
hopefully the new windserpent model we got from a hunter quest in sod... has a lvl 40 version so we can get level 4 breath on wind serpy

Kill commands tooltip specifically says now it only applies to Bite and Claw. other than that great vid, would be really cool for gorillas to be the meta lol

They need to make Zebras, Giraffes, Bucks, and all other beasts tamable.
After phase 1 I’m not playing hunter
Gorilla stomp will be fun for maximum a week, but its just a burst meme anyway as it will waste all of its focus on it’s abilities being cooldowns.
Unless you are doing aoe farming, don't use Gorillas. They can actually be bad in dungeons as Thunderstomp can pull unwanted mobs. My Wind Serpent is still doing more damage on quest mobs than my STV dash Tiger. Almost neck and neck- but still edges him out.
That's pretty dumb design that the wind serpent could use rank 4 lightning breath at rank 36 but the spell doesn't just become available for all wind serpents...
this is true, but the original game really wasn't designed around a lvl 40 cap so it makes sense.
- someone else mentioned them adding a lvl 36-40 WS w/ rank 4 would make a lot of sense and I agree. Don't think that's a high priority or if they would get around to it though.
Also I’ll add pets where absolutely worthless in classic good to see them somewhat used but endgame 60 pets are useless n will die on damn near every pull in raids it how ever will be funny as hell when a pet taunts like a vael and flame breaths the raid. In naxx they die if a npc looks at them
they added avoidance to season of discovery, meaning pets take 90% reduced indirect dmg. they should be fine.
Alternatively, if you don't want to be camping the badlands all day, Humar the pridelord can be tamed at level 23 and has a 1.3 attack speed, and is the second fastest cat in the game + he looks cooler as it's a black lion that looks like Scar from the lion king.
you can also just tame starving mountain lion w/ 1.2 AS the lvl 23-24 pet as a easy option better than humar, i didn't mention either as they are both available in p1
@ingolf82 Nah wrong info. There's a few pets with 1.2 AS easily obtainable in p1
For horde, the cat that awards the flanking strike rune has 1.2 attack speed. Same as Rake, the rare cat in Mulgore. Humar is worst version of those

First I’ll say that I have over 250 days /played on hunter

If you seen a hunter with that name it was me I’m by no means great at hunter half the time I’m drunk or stoned and just playing hanging out with friends..
But
Gorillas and thunder stomp I do assume with pet scaling it will hit hard and stomp will be scaled at 40 not like some other abilities that are 34-36-38 so have lower base damage but kill command only with bite and claw that was said in patch notes no other abilities
You want big damage hits it is base off focus use per that ability stomp is a low focus ability so 300-600 will be assumption wind serpent shock is 50 focus that’s going to rip dicks off at 40 I’m betting 800-1000
You forgot cats get prowl in level 30 range every night elf hunter will be rocking a cat.
Last thing all pet speeds are normalized I belive in patch 1.4? we are in 1.7? Beast lore might say 1.0 speed it might have it once tamed but log out store it etc it will be I think 2.0.

Last thing ,I think we are on final patch of era not phasing up like classic.
Thunder stomp is 15-20-25 gp cost it’s low cost and has a c/d will be worthless
Simply said my name and hours played cause there are a shitload of hunter fanboys in sod that are absolutely horrible in classic it’s a different class in tbc/ wraith and beyond
