    Nice recipe a trick my aunt taught me was to mix the roasted geera in a little water so it doesn't clump up.

    The street food in Trinidad is akin to indian roots like puri chole etc. Even mauritius street foods are almost like trinidad street foods.
    In mauritius, you see a guy with bicycle selling dholl purie around the street corners. Behind his biks is a small glass steel trunk which is a mini restaurant by itself.
    Your country is greattt....i wish i cud visit but due to the constraints of distance.
    best regards

    Thank you. I made this and it came out exactly how I like my curried channa. Tasted great and easy to follow. I added a bit more chive, used canned channa (washed and seasoned before going into the pot) and some curry leaves. Thank you ❤

      It's probably cause I'm trini but we cook with allot of pepper so most times we don't need to add in pepper sauce at the end. Only if young children are gonna consume the meal we don't put much in the food. If you like pepper you add it at the end to your plate.

    • @joyceali5958
      @joyceali5958 4 роки тому +6

      Hello she's claiming it cuz it's our recipes handed down by our ancestors but we put our own twist to it so get a life and leave the west Indians alone tnx

    • @winstonseecharan5772
      @winstonseecharan5772 4 роки тому +3

      recipe is different even the curry is different we Indian in Trinidad thinks your curry is too rich although we buy the ingredients from india we make it lighter in the curry factory quite a few curry restaurants from india had to close down there business they was not getting the kind of sale they expected by the way we have innovation in our country to prepare Channa simply boil it down they add the ingredients

    • @joyceali5958
      @joyceali5958 4 роки тому +4

      No , don't even try to compare east Indian food with west Indian, we have our own recipes from what was pass down from our ancestors. Trinidad food is unique to the bone.
