I am new at this but, when you talk about size: Is that body size or including leg span. So is three inches total or from head to spinneret(?)?

Happy Birthday Richard. After 25 years my wife finally agreed that I could have a tarantula with the condition that it be a dwarf. This is the video that helped me narrow down my choices and after watching a few of your species specific videos, I decided to bring home a Brazilian Blue Dwarf Beauty.

Great list! One of my personal favorites in my collection is my Kochiana brunnipes (Dwarf Pink Leg). She's bold, curious, active, and always has a great feeding response. Her webbing skills rival my GBB! A real must-have IMO.

I got me a C. Elegance sling. This thing is so tiny. I never see it until I put a smashed cricket in it's home.
Speaking of it's home, it's a pee cup. It was a freebie and I had no clue how tiny it was going to be so my wife brought home a pee cup from work and we poked holes and gave Voor a home.

You have one of the coolest voices of any tarantula UA-camr out there. Dolichothele diamantinensis was what I thought was going to be the top but I'm glad it made 2nd. It's my personal favourite Tarantula and it was the 2nd tarantula I have got. The first was c elegans.

I started out with jumping spiders too, still my favourite spider for their inquisitive nature and interaction we can have with them. It took me 2 years of wanting a tarantula until I finally got my first one, a Kochiana brunnipes dwarf t, then a GBB and C elegans. I had meant to get only dwarf species but I do now have a few of the bigger species. 2 months later I have 6 tarantulas and a couple more on the way 😁 Dip your toe in 😍

Love this video! Watched it a few times and put several of these on my wishlist.
Cyriocosmus genus stole my heart so it’s great seeing them mentioned twice! (Though absolutely no one seems to have C. ritae available.) Seems like few people are that interested in them.
I recently got three (roughly 0.5-inch) Cyriocosmus sp Tambopata slings (one was a surprise!) and I am in love! They’re absolutely amazing.
I’ve only had them a little over 48 hours but I’m surprised by how active they are already and how much they’re out and about. I expected them to hide in their burrows all the time, based on what I’ve heard from other keepers. Instead, they seem come out regularly to do some exploring, “redecorating,” and are already doing a little webbing. 🖤

I've had my D Diamantinensis sling for less than a month and it's already one of my favourites. A great eater, webbed up everything rather than burrowed so is always out as such a great temperment, not skittish nor defensive.
My C Elegans sling is also a fave and got it with the D Diamantinensis, but much it's much more shy. My brother got a sling at the same time as me and hasn't seen his since unpacking as his made a burrow in the middle, while mine burrowed at the side.

Nice E.king! They were my 1st breeders years ago. I must admit spiders themselves give me the creeps until I started noticing jumpers around my house and how curious they are. Then basically fell in love. Then just the other day discovered for myself the Brazilian Jewel! Must have!! Then seen your video and am sold on dwarfs! The absolute beauty and docile nature of some of these, who couldn't love em? So yes I will be starting a small collection in the near future, hopefully to add the black camel to the brood. Can't find any breeders state side at all. Did locate a shop in the U.K. that gets them every few years, so if any one knows of any state wide please let me know. Thanx for the video exposing the number of dwarfs out there!

Another one you could add to this list is the Australian semi-social pygmy tarantula-it could be considered a ‘dwarf’ tarantula since a mature female’s leg span only reaches 2.5 inches. They’re cool because the Semi-social Pygmies happily cohabitate with their young for periods of over a year. Not only do these patient mothers allow the kids to live at home, they also let their young feed from captured prey held in their chelicerae. Siblings share both living quarters and prey as well.

@@tarantulacollective The only one I've been to that's decent in this state is the Morgantown Exotic Expo. It was alright had a few T vendors there including Fear Not T's the year I went. The smaller expo's that roam the state throughout the year aren't that good. Maybe 1 T vendor with limited knowledge and it's hardly worth going to. They are lucky to have 10 vendors half of the time. When I lived in AL for awhile there was a huge one every year in Birmingham. You could spend all day in there and not see everything. If you have any recommendations I would be happy to hear them. I'm open to over state lines expo's also. Like OH and PA. Currently I've been window shopping more T's online. I like expo's so I can see the sling I'm buying. I like to see them in person rather than order one. Covid might change that though because I really want to order a G. Pulchra and GBB at the very least since those two are favorites of my wife. Plus if I spend enough alot of dealers throw in free T's of your choice depending on how much I spend. Then I plan on pre-ordering the Arboreal enclosure for my P. Irminia from Tarantula Cribs. I love their enclosures. Thanks to you and T. Kat for turning me on to them. :)

@@johnbrooks6257 the Steel City Reptile Expo in Pittsburgh had a couple good t dealers....but overall it wasn't that exciting. There is another expo in North Pittsburgh but I haven't had a chance to make it there yet.

How in the world do you only have 33 thousand subs..whats wrong with people? I I found your channel a while back and really enjoy how you educate people about Ts. I personally am terrified of spiders but watching your channel and a few others opened my eyes to how amazing these creatures are. I'm now able to watch tarantula and spider content but still not able to handle any. Thanks for the videos!

Amazing list. I agree the cyriocosmus genus are the best for beautiful dwarfs. My number 1 would probably cyriocosmus leetzi or theraphosinae sp panama
