@Mercury Hill it will probably make mounds of dirt and still web up on the side of the enclosure...just might not be as intricate. But it depends on the species. Chilobrachys seems to webb up no matter what is in there.

My fastest is my Birupes, wayyy faster then any freaking pokies lol, you cant even blink and you wont even see where they're at after ( i own 2 pokies and one L violacepeus) and hands down those Birupes beats them by alot
I think my c.fimbriatus is broken lol. I set it up with enough substrate to burrow, a few plants & pieces of corkbark for anchor points and a long corkbark tube (which is where stays 99% of the time) so maybe that's why it hasn't webbed. It's happy just hiding out in its hole lol.
My LP is really trying to escape always 🤣🤣 ....My TAN is a runner gave me twice already something for my money 🤣🤣 and my CGK is one of the more defensive slings but I wanted to have something that has more character :) nxt T's GBB,Trinidad Olive,and a heart butt... After that I want to buy sun tiger and something close acting fast aboreal species then into baboons or something I want to have tthese three for sure pterinochilus chordatus , pterinochilus lugardi , pterinochilus vorax
EpiCAN’T Ok I agree, the caribena versicolor is one of them, believe me, I have one and it is beautiful. Actually every arboreal is extremely fluffy, especially the females
I am so excited just got a GBB one reason was I LOVE the webs they make. He's only 1/2 inch right now but I put him in a tall enclosure with plenty of anchor points and it's all webbed up! So cool looking!
I use my old enclosure for my GBB as a Halloween decoration for my desk at work. People always ask if I have a T in there and I say "that's all you need to know". Lol

I love your videos! Out of every T you showed today, the Guatemalan Tiger Rump and the Harpactira baviana are my faves! I don't keep tarantulas and I'm actually a little scared of them still (used to have arachnophobia), but seeing them and learning about them helps a lot. Today I found an Augacephalus junodi and Breyeri here in South Africa!🤘🕷 there are also C. Darlingis here!🕷 Fun fact: most Baboon species can't dig properly after they mature!👌

There is a weird translation of the title here, which would literally mean "The top 10 of the heaviest (-in the sense of mass-) belt tarantulas" :D I think it looks cool when Ts web all over a skull. And webbing makes an enclosure a unique home designed by its inhabitant in person.

I used to think that webbing just got in the way of seeing the spider. Now I'm starting to come around to the other point of view. For balance in the collection, a heavy Webber or two makes sense.
First of all I'd like to thank you for putting out these videos. I am a novice keeper who has now had T's for about six months and this information is absolutely invaluable. I would like to see a video on your picks for intermediate species; what species you believe are good for keepers who have a little experience under their belt and have kept a lot of the beginner level species successfully. A bit more challenging, maybe beginner moisture dependent, a bit faster. Thank you and thank you for all the videos you have done so far :)

I love heavy webbers. I have just got 3 Heterothele villosella, they are tiny slings. (I have seen bigger fruit flies!) I am amazed at how much webbing they are doing. I have given them each plenty of substrate as I've read they burrow as slings, I have provided anchor points so they have a choice but they have chosen to remain up top and web. Fab little species so far.

Agree! One of the more heavy webbers i have had is Chilobrachys fimbriatus. Its enclosure looked like "Santas grotto"

ive had sub-adult Chromatopelma for 10 months now and she only webbed her burrow/nest, the rest of her cube 30x30x30 is not touched :/
I was rooting for a Chilobrachys to make the list since they're my favorite genus. My C. huanini and C. dycolus web up their enclosures like crazy.

The Indian violet can put down more web in a couple days than most heavy webbers do in a couple weeks
