I love his voice. I love his videos. I wish I could work for Unicat.
I love this company, It is the most creative and innovative company in the world 🌹❤️💪
I appreciated learning how you use backing plates with your hinge attachments plus how your doorframes are integrated as part of the build, rather than added afterwards. Superb engineering. Thank you.
Fantastic!!!
Merci pour ces explications très claires. Impatient d'en avoir d'autres.
Kann man nicht besser machen. Ihr seit halt immer noch die besten :-)
TNX!
thank you and great !
very cool.
👏👏👏👍
Thank you for sharing that video. Did you integrate metal structure in the walls ? What is giving the structure strengh and how internal appliences connect to walls ?
My dream to have one
Thanks…
Question : at each corner, the inside fiberglass of each panel continues to the outside, isn't kind of a thermal bridge ? and would'nt be possible to remove that 2mm thick material by 58mm by the total height so no thermal bridge or it would weakens the corner even if I notice you re enforced the inside corners ? Thanks and I miss your videos, they are very interesting !
You can add also a layer of thermalwrap (aerogel), 1cm is like 5-7cm of foam as thermal efficiency!
Hi Thomas
Do you incorporate internal floor heating in all bodies and is this inner space accessible or cast within the 90 mm of polyurethane insulation?
Slantie from Perth West Australia.
hi, thomas, we love to watch your presentation on all your products, may be one day, we‘ll travel in a truck of your design! however, at the mean time, we are eager to see many of the questions people asked, that you have not reply yet!
Hi Richard, sorry, but Thomas cannot answer all the questions, it would take too long, and making these little videos already takes a lot of his time.
Sorry ...
I understand that this sandwich structure is internal know how but it would be still interesting to know some more details about it. By the looks its not weaved fibreglass and is chopped one but maybe you can confirm . Also do you use generic PU foam or make your own? How this structure fares over the time and is it prone to same faults as we see in maritime industries using same materials?
Ahh I was hoping for more clues in this one. OK Thomas, I assume you don't go out and just order great slabs of core material and just cut your dimensions to suit and start bonding. I am guessing here that they all have to be pre made by whoever to your exact designs because of the internal structural members needing to be placed within the structure before laying the actual fibreglass? Can you recommend me a company that could supply these as I have heard the quality can vary wildly! or are you saying you actually lay the fibreglass yourselves but didn't show that?
Another question....
What inherent difference is there between the three point chassis connectors and the use of (6) spring connectors between the truck chassis and the body frame? Also is there possible chance for truck turnover when at speed cornering on a bitumen road with the sway with the three point connection and over compensating, like a shift in liquid concrete mass in a cement truck??
So do the Fiberglas profile go into the press or are they added to the sandwich panel after cutting out. Is it able to happed retroactively if some one was renovating and wanted a matching window or door?
Do you finish the outside with something else in the end, or is that white fibreglass the final outside layer?
Can we add light weight armor system for the body?
does unicat build the wall/floor/roof layers from scratch?
Is all fiberglass white color? Can it come in blue?
Why can't you use two u tracks joined together for the corners
It is only the wherewithal holding me from ordering a UNICAT
it's only the lack of cash preventing me from ordering mine haha. I want one that can trailer my Tesla in the back like the rally raid setup they did. As a mechanic and welder, that workshop would be PERFECT for me. I'm kinda hoping I could cover the entire roof of both main cabin and trailer with enough solar with double wing solar slideouts to make the actual truck itself electric but that's a way off yet..
