I have a max level character and also am beyond NG7 and it’s surprising how difficult the game can still be. For perspective I also cleared the game with a 125 quality only build and am currently attempting a level 1 run and made it all the way to Godfrey where I’ve been stuck for 4 days now.

that tree shield is very useful. if you combine it with reduced non physical damage and holy damage reduction trinkets, you can just tank the hits from both of the final bosses. from there, a strike weapon is some sort and the classic trinket and meteor combo (much more effective against the flying fish than the beam) and victory is significantly easier

I still don't get people using Comet Azur so often... I play mage so I know how against some stationary bosses, comet azur can be OP. But then there is Meteorite of Astel with the Meteorite Staff for the off hand, unlike Comet there's no dodging from that once you get close, and you can also stun the enemies with each hit.
I’m staying at 311. 50 everything and 40mp. I don’t like being crazy strong and doing too much damage. Ng+2 is still challenging towards mid to end game. Not a summons player but I understand people use them. I feel like you don’t learn much about a boss if you do which is half the fun for me. Going to keep it here at ng+2 till the dlc comes out and just reload my save with my favorite bosses still alive.
Having every stat that high would actually be so sick You can wear every armour even the heaviest You can wield every weapon you want even if it's 3 or 4 at the same time And in addition you can also take a staff and cast spells and incantations because you have the intelligence and faith for both But I absolutely don't have the interests in farming runes for hours day after day
You can do most of that at 300. You don’t need max level. Everything at 50 gets you basically everything. You can wear a talisman for equip load to wear the heaviest. There’s only a few things past 50 you can’t use unless you two hand or add a talisman for that stat. 300 is nice and not over leveled if you keep it around 50 for everything.
finger print shield with the great shield talisman, with the godskin needle or w/e it is, the heavy thrusting sword, add a bleed ash to it, job done. Shield blocks 100% physical, 90% or so magic, and with the talisman uses NO stamina when blocking, keep blocking while stabbing.
I feel like for max level there's a lot of wasted potential Erdtree heal would be much more useful than your flask at that point in your physical if your gonna use magic at least the cracked magic tear and idk about talismans but if your gonna use bleed I'd guess all the bleed in Vicinity increasing damage ones would be best
It sucks that spirit summons don’t get scaled up with each ng. Makes having them useless unless it’s mimic or one that buffs your stats. They don’t do any damage or tank hits anymore
Don't you find that the summon ashes stop holding up as you go to higher NG's? Like, I'm at NG+2 and my +10 great shield skeletons aren't holding up for as long.
At Ng+7 (lvl 368 currently) i really don't see much of a difference rune or health wise in enemies after Ng+3 dmg from enemies it is a bit naughty they do a lot more dmg then i had expected might mainly be because I'm a looks person more then a use the best gear i can type of person but still.
Yeah I started NG+ 9 at level 344 and it wasn’t until NG+ 7 I noticed myself getting one shot by hits that I would normally survive. Same with the runes.. I literally speedrun the game to rune farm now because I get 200k and one level is 1.2 million 😂
@@vinceconstantine41 i know it sucks man I'm trying to get to 500 so i can stop lvling 😂 I'm staying in Ng+7 until dlc comes out seems like they do enough DMG now to be difficult enough hopefully 😂
It would be cool if they added the sekiro mechanic where u have to do a critical hit on the boss for them to die like final blow so we can see how they actually die not just get slashed a couple of times and they fall over
Unless they go into a permanent down animation on 0hp, fuck that (I haven't played Sekiro) Even then, fuck that because post mortem attacks can fuck you out of a kill
I’m doing this at level 220 like twice a day, max level is so overkill for max new game. I also like running around with 30-40mil souls, makes it feel more intense
Interesting setup. After my first play through I experimented with a few builds. Ended up settling on the great shield talisman and stone shield setup with antspur rapier. Combined with the talisman that gives hp with successful hits. I ran through the game two more times for last two ending achievements with ease. You can tank everything and swing through it. It’s not good for the last boss but it makes you 100 times harder to kill.
Radahn is easy af when over leveled. I legitimately was disappointed to have killed him first try in less than 10 hits after hearing everyone talk about how hard he is
I skipped through the whole video to radagon and elden beast that last 10 percent of radagons health was cringe without that mimic tier he would have been done I mean he got hit by the easiest hit to dodge multiple times in a row
He used CE to get to max level. The immediate thing you notice with these videos that use CE is the lack in skill level. Obv these bosses are hard and at NG+7 but just cheating in all those levels means you skipped all the grind and game knowledge you would acquire from doing it legitimately.
@Caio Henrique Not exactly my point. The video doesn’t really show a whole lot imo. Max level doesn’t really do a whole lot outside of give you more room to use multiple different tools all at once which this person barely did. It was mainly sorceries which any mage build can do already. Nothing wildly new here outside of the stats being at lv 99. People have a misconception of the power you are at max. There’s soft and hard caps for a reason. The stat difference between level 80 and 99 is extremely minor. Most of the time getting a maxed level character in a souls game is more so an achievement than anything else. The only true benefit you really receive is being able to use multiple different builds all at the same time or easily swapping to a different build. This person used the mimic summon and sorcery spells for a large majority of the boss fights and was played rather sloppily. My only point was that there is an inherent lack of skill from not getting a legit max level character even IF all you are doing is farming the same enemies over and over again. You learn more mechanics, you understand the game more. Not trying to hate on this dude as much as it might seem like I am. He’s still beating the bosses on NG+7 which is difficult but just not to the same skill level and ease as someone who has taken the time to truly achieve a max level character.
Wow, NG7+ at lvl. 713 and Grafted Scion already hits that hard. I wonder how Placidusax's dmg per hit is on NG7+, it might even cut you down to 50% health even if youd 2k+ health with 30-40+ phys. dmg. negation. Not to mention Placidusax's magic attacks hits harder than his physical attacks and his breath move is ALWAYS a one hit kill at most.
They aren't hitting him any harder than normal playthrough at max level It's like enemies take percentages My max level takes more damage from dumb enemies than my level 200
@@Joyous395 I have a lvl. 300 playthrough and I find it like the sweetspot to burn through NG+ since you can now hit all the soft caps around 60-70 points distribution per stat, unless you overkill a stat to 99 for build testing. Overall, max level is not bad either but it's overkill for a casual player.
He used mimic on last 3 bosses. Honestly though, if he wanted efficiency, he should have used Delores on the Godskin Duo. As for the skill argument, it's not that much of a difference regardless of playthrough, just tweaking of the numbers. Just let people play how they want.

I have a max level character and also am beyond NG7 and it’s surprising how difficult the game can still be. Yeah you can nuke bosses pretty fast still but you always underestimate how hard they can still hit back. Biggest problem is you tend to be more careless because you assume you should be able to tank everything and forget that your flasks don’t replenish your giant health bar unless you take a few swigs. I wouldn’t call it hard but still more than you’d expect. For perspective I also cleared the game with a 125 quality only build and am currently attempting a level 1 run and made it all the way to Godfrey where I’ve been stuck for 4 days now.
If you have that much health just use erdtree heal, thats what I use and it tops me up (1900hp)
Playing on NG7 (and beyond NG2) you realize how bad of a boss Elden Beast is
I realized it the first time i fought him. Tele's away, hits me with ranged holy slashes while im running in circles trying to evade elden stars etc
That holy insta kill damage and he is running away all the time...
Pretty boss, but God is it boring to play.
Yeah. He is pretty easy with wing of astel. The nebula ashes can stagger him after about 4-5 uses. And can usually kill him after he staggers.
It’s easy to see it’s a bad boss about one minute into the fight lol
It's bad when dodging a boss involves you running full sprint towards it.

Your experience with the tutorial boss just shows this game doesn't force the player to become good at anything, and rather lets you get by on making your character stronger.
99 vig against an NG+7 grafted scion is fair in balanced since it increases its health and damage with every NG cycle
@@ItchyAmp I honestly can't tell if you're trolling
@@Ribcut bro im serious. why would I even be trolling? can you give me a reason why 99 vig would be too much for ng+7?
@@Ribcut at 99 vig with at least decent physical damage resistance with armor (im basing this off of 25% Damage reduction to phys strike slash and blunt) an endgame boss like malenia and mohg would kill you in 2 hits taking away more than half of your hp with their regular attacks and lets say mohg does his charged up slam and malenia her charged up thrust, would one shot you with 99 vig + erdtrees favor +2, crimson amber medallion +2, morgott's great rune and crimsomburst tear. the only way you would survive such attacks is by wearing heavy armor
@@ItchyAmp I killed Malenia with 40 vigor. The scion died in literally 3 jump attacks on my NG+4. It doesn't scale to the point of being even a slight challenge. I can't even imagine the grind when you are level 700...gotta be like 10 million runes per level

Having every stat that high would actually be so sick
You can wear every armour even the heaviest
You can wield every weapon you want even if it's 3 or 4 at the same time
And in addition you can also take a staff and cast spells and incantations because you have the intelligence and faith for both
But I absolutely don't have the interests in farming runes for hours day after day
You can do most of that at 300.

Mimic tear
I skipped through the whole video to radagon and elden beast that last 10 percent of radagons health was cringe without that mimic tier he would have been done I mean he got hit by the easiest hit to dodge multiple times in a row
It is painful to watch
Elden beast can drain half ur health with 2k hp and 70% holy resist with the laser beam from above move at NG+2
