@@aeriagloris4211 Theres this one content creator called Bushy who does different challenge runs in Elden Ring. In one of them the poor bastard had to dodge the waterfowl 8 times during the 2nd phase alone lmao. But did not get hit once if i recall correctly. Some people just have the timings and strategies down in muscle memory through so much repetition.
@@aeriagloris4211Basically, baits the first two attacks on the first section of her waterfowl to go one way while he dodges the other, bc these two attacks are the furthest reaching she then can't gain enough space on you during the next 3 hits. Bc he was light rolling it makes it much easier but I believe this is possible to do on med load, just that the dodge is near pixel and frame perfect as well as having to set her up correctly. The next two sections of waterfowl you just dodge in, fairly simple.
Godrick was my boss tbh. When I first met him he looked pretty cool but when he grafted the dragons head I was in absolute shock and then the iconic “FOREFATHERS ONE AND ALL, BARE WITNESS.” It was honestly what hooked me for the rest of the game
Margit for me (and in extension, Margot). I love the lore of the twins in general but Margit (imo) is the best first boss the game could have. Hard but not too hard. Slow enough for you to heal, not too slow to make it easy or boring. Easy, yet hard.
Yea this is so impressive. After an hour I'm just finally starting to play after running around grabbing waypoints and killing greyroll if I'm feelign cheaty lol
General Radahn was the most iconic boss in Elden ring by far. From his compassion towards animals, to coming down as a meteor, not only was his fight legendary but also his character.
@@Yoda_Gaming1738 nothing had me as frustrated as Margit. the first day playing this type of game for the first time, had to sleep on it after trying for 2-3 hours and got him first try the next morning lol
Yeah Radahn, visually, was my favorite. The fight felt amazing and epic. The fight and everything was amazing. It was hard but not very hard with summons. I also enjoyed Morgott. Margit was the first boss I attempted to fight.
My favorite boss is Placidusax. I love the atmosphere, the music, and he's hard, yet slow, so it let's you use insane attacks and not get instantly punished
My favourite boss in Elden Ring is probably Godfrey. On my first playthrough, he felt like the final boss, with extremely powerful attacks, that were also well telegraphed, so the fight never seemed unfair. From a lore and gameplay standard, this boss is amazing for the climax of the game. It's unfortunate that the real final boss is a little disappointing (not Radagon, but the Elden Beast is stupid).
Godfrey was awesome and that phase two where he throws you into space was so cool. He also was very respectful which was a nice change from the average enemy.
Absolutely. Godfrey's reasonably tough without feeling cheap or annoying like many Elden Ring bosses. Easily the most fun fight in the game while being awesome lore-wise as well.
@@Orciwan548absolutely I LOVE the fact that he respect us and treat us like a worthy opponent, and then you walk in the tree and fight against this weird ass spammer😂
My favourite boss is definitely Starscourge Radahn as he is(at least was on the release) one of the harder(but not unfair) bosses in the game. Also i like the whole festival gimmick
Can we just appreciate how clean those Malenia fights were.. Amazing work. These are some high level players. Bummer with the bad luck at the end but he managed to pull off the victory! The fact that they were just seconds apart is so impressive. Speedrunners play at such a high level that they are only seconds apart from each other
I haven’t seen a lot of others say this, but my favorite boss might have been maliketh the black blade. It was the most surprising “this boss is so easy” to “…. There’s a phase 2…” moment. The transformation was also really cool. I found I had to really learn his moves and dodge them with specific strategies vs just being able to wing it with other bosses.
My favorite boss was definitely always that one. From everything you said. It also had a nice element that some players would fall off the edge by trying to stay too far away.
I remember maliketh wasn't too bad in phase 2. Ofc I did it 20+ times but still wasn't as annoying as malenia. A well timed dodge against maliketh in his direction always worked for me to stay aggressive
My favorite is definitely mohg. The experience of finding him and fighting him by accident on my first playthrough and struggling against a boss with such amazing music, an amazing arena, and the most unique area in the game. Beating without knowing about the tear from eleonora and standing alone in the grave of a long lost civilization was so cool. Felt like making it through vampire atlantis
Even coming from 1000+ hours played in souls game, it took me a lot of attempts to beat Margit. He's designed to teach you the "always roll through" mechanic, while at the same time punishing you sometimes with quick dagger swipes, that you have no way to avoid. It really subverts the "keep rolling and all will be fine" theme.
I warmed up with first time playthru with Bloodbourne. Beat Kos in day of attempts and thought I was gud. Well I after Margit smoked me, Didnt even know how to use ash of war or upgrade my weapon. Tries that and fails, so I went exploring. Fromsoft starts are always brutal.
he teaches everything, really. how dynamic elden ring combat is, with you a lot of times being able to sneak r1s between hits in the same combo, delayed attacks, even undodgeable attacks that you just have to either light roll, or run away from also if I'm not mistaken he has some strafeable attacks, and there's another mechanic. I love Margit
For me, it's taken until Radahn to realise that dodge timings are flexible by your inputs. By that i mean, while bosses have combos that attack twice in quick succession, you can dodge earlier to avoid both blows. Other combos take longer or have longer follow throughs so you dodge later. It makes dodging more intuitive and meaningful every time you press the button.
I constantly play like I'm playing Bloodborne & I get punished. Don't feel bad. Margit takes me forever too. Doesn't matter what playthrough I'm doing.
Only just got into Elden Ring a few months ago so im only now getting all the youtube content associated with it. Excellent editing and dope as hell challenge idea!
Take that as a lesson when/if you’re ever struggling with the other souls games. Completing them “unlocks” so much interesting YT content. That’s what I told myself when I was struggling at times with some parts in certain games
Mogh the Omen, atmosphere is absolutely phenomenal, with amazing music. Love the phase 2 mechanic that leaves players feeling hopeless as if they’re really facing the real deal
awesome to see this, been looking forward to it since the challenge thanks again for putting this one on dude, had a ton of fun competing again and ggs to all who participated edit: oh also just saw fav boss things, 100% malenia, super fun to do optimally and get good at
What a race, definitely had me at the edge of my seat at the last fight. Malenia going for the hard attacks and yet still managed to come out on top, amazing! And I think my favorite boss is definitely Godfrey, both his phases are awesome and he's just such a badass character
Your comment made me curious, so I dug a little and found two winners. It seems legit. Granted, I don’t check notifications or emails, so I’d never win something like that.
I really like watching these videos of your speed running competitions, it's really fun to watch players complete specific goals instead of the entire game. And it's also nice to have you explaining what the speed runners are doing! It makes watching less confusing and more comfortable. Also favorite boss has got to be stars courge Radahn because of his (comically small) horse carrying him.
God I just love mohg, he's just so fun. With the music slowly building, the countdown in Latin, it all just builds to one of my favorite moments in gaming. The NIHIL that leads to phase 2, unleashing all the blood flame and the flare up of the music, it is so good
My favourite boss is Placidusax. His fight is one big spectacle. The arena, the music that depends on his actions and his moves, especially thundercloud, the laser attack and the big explosionspear are all exciting to me. This challenge by the way is very nice.
hoarah loux is my favorite boss for sureeeee, his attack animations are so crisp and were, frankly, INSANE. from beginning to end it shows the first elden lord becoming more and more beastly and barbaric. i love it.
@@Benjobros ahh, now that I think about it, that makes sense. I’m not big on lore, so that’s how I observed him gameplay-wise. thanks for enlightening me!
@@yousefsadek4325 before moving to the Lands Between he was born as Hoarah Loux, he was a barbarian of the Badlands, upon arriving in the the Lands Between, Marika noticed how proficient he was in battle, making him Elden Lord and granting him Serosh to “tame” him by quelling his barbaric lust for battle, he is then used a basically a weapon of the Erdtree, striking down all who oppose the Golden Order, and upon taking down the Fire Giants and putting them near extinction, Marika has no further use for him, and banished him to the Badlands, losing the Grace of Gold and becoming tarnished he once more claims the title of Hoarah Loux, Chieftain of the Badlands, until the lost grace beckons him back to the Lands Between, where he ventures to claim the title of Elden Lord once more
Radahn I gotta say is a my favorite boss. His design, the feel of the actual fight, and the lore between him and Leonard is heartwarming. He’s the ultimate chad of all Eden Ring.
My favorite boss in Elden Ring is Astel! I was so happy seeing little touches of Bloodborne make their way into Elden Ring and I think Astel really encompasses the Lovecraftian side of the game. Plus his design is just super cool and he's so far into the game that he's really easy to miss.
I know this is a year old but SAME HERE. I LOVED ASTEL. He was the boss after margit that made me feel like i was playing the game again for the first time
My favorite boss is Gideon, despite the fact he is soo easy, i just love the mechanic that he knows the spells from the bosses you have already killed.
@@Kingly242 I'm a big fan of that one. "Oh, hey, you're the 'All Knowing', yeah? Do you know ... the Eldritch Truth?" *walks forward with hands outstretched*
That was a really exciting video, and I love the idea of commentated speed runs. I was quite confused at the end though to see that the two runs we saw were #2 and #3. I get that they were super close so it made sense to compare them, but it was a bit odd not to see any footage at all from the winner. I see the pinned comment about this, so just giving my feedback that personally I would have preferred to see all three videos included, as until the end I thought I was watching #1 and #2, not #2 and #3. But an awesome idea and a very well done video. Congrats to the runners!
Malenia is easily my favorite boss in the game. That was the only boss in the game that I genuinely struggled to beat when the game first came out and seeing my progression after 40+ tries was extremely satisfying
Malenia's boss fight is so well constructed, people complain too much. It's such an interesting and entertaining fight and the feeling of finally capturing on her move set and winning is inreplacable.
@@kitara373 I think if the waterfowl dance was slowed down and the first phase health was reduced by a quarter, she would be the best boss in the game.
@@soulsplayingidiot I think there's something to be said for unfairly hard optional bosses. I'd be kinda upset with waterfowl if you needed to fight malenia, but, she's just there as a challenge for people that want that kind of difficulty, and since these games are 15 years old by now a fair bit of bullshittery is required to give the vets their difficulty edit: it's also a move you can perfectly dodge, but only if you know how to, probably from looking up how to do it online. Miyazaki has always stated that part of his games are ment to be figured out as a community, this view extending to bossfights rather than just lore makes sense as a continuation
Gotta be the godskin duo the fact that they are so well put together and everything from the entrance, lore implications and the rewards make it such a fun and memorable fight Its perfectly balanced and makes players often drastically change their playstyle to fight them
I love the lore and character behind Margit/Morgot, the duality of a character assuming the kingwood of society that hates him, out of pure loyalty, and the detail of his father coming back as a Tarnished, lamenting his end
I love how cinematic every major boss in Elden Ring is, so it’s hard me to choose, but I’d definitely have to go with Radahn. Facing him pre-nerf was such a huge challenge and the environment was awesome, and getting to fight him with the boys was icing on the cake
Unpopular opinion, but my favorite boss has to be Malenia. At first, I really hated her (not just because of waterfowl, her lifesteal was really annoying, especially paired with her flurry attack), but then I started to learn her moves, find openings. For the first time I beat her with a summon, and it was surprisingly easy that way, but something was missing. A few playthroughs later I went back to her, to finish her solo. It took multiple hours and many deaths, but in the end I beat her, and it feels like the biggest reward in the game. I'm not going to sit here pretending that she is a perfect boss, in fact she is not very fair at all, but for the journey it took for me to best her definitely made Malenia my favorite boss.
@Poe Soul You got it all right my friend, I'm currently trying to beat her only by avoiding her waterflow with rolls and from close distance, and it is so painful having to put her to midlife at every trial, but I won't kill her until I manage to do it because I know the satisfaction at the end will be worth the pain Have a great day guys and enjoy the game ! :)
@Poe Soul I'm a souls vet who started at 13 with demon's souls and I agree fully, the delayed attacks were a huge problem for me and threw me off so much, it didn't help I beat the game without summoning. ER kicked my ass more than any game in the series and it was amazing. However I still really dislike Malenia, not because she has delayed or unfair attacks but because she is poorly designed. I've seen a lot of people compare her to Sekiro's boss and for good reason, but in ER she just doesn't work, add on to that her bullshit healing mechanic, insane damage output and two healthbars and she just feels like the devs put her in there as a fuck you. Unlike previous souls game's bosses like Gael, Friede, Artorias and especially Isshin she does not reward skill but instead cheese, broken builds and exploits. Hearing people compare her to Isshin is stupid. One is a incredibly well-designed duel with an foe far stronger than you, managing to make the fight very hard but never feel unfair, every time you die to Isshin it's your own fault. The other is a broken, unfair slog with a foe who could have been fun to fight had the devs balanced her more or put more thought into the fight, dying to Malenia is mainly due to dumb bullshit
@@sandwichdealer1711 Really? Dying to Malenia is due to dumb shit? Look, I'm not going to talk shit because frankly, I've felt that against a good quarter of from soft bosses at one point or another. But eventually, you realize that the dumb shit you're dying to is your fault, not the game's. She has generous openings, lacks aggression in phase one, and has only one attack that is difficult to consistently dodge. And even that attack, waterfowl of course, is only difficult to dodge if you get too close to it. Waterflow is fundamentally a souped-up punishment for improper spacing. But if you know what you're doing you still can stay very close and use a different method and completely dodge it the majority of the time. And then if you're even a little distant, it's not particularly notable if you know what you're doing. She's tough. She demands a strong understanding of her moveset and a fair amount of patience. But when you really get her fight down she is incredibly fun. Slightly below Gael to me for best boss they've ever designed but it's a masterpiece.
@Poe Soul its not just an overabundance of delayed attacks, every single enemies attack timing requires delayed rolls and if you get hit once with a bad roll timing you will most likely roll immediately after the stun animation getting hit again. and if you tried dodging at the right time(.2 seconds after the animation not enough to realize you did or did not roll) you will dodge again after the stun animation. every enemy roll catches and the input queueing makes it more likely to get roll caught, deaths are no longer my fault. and the big appeal to the souls fans is its challenging but fair gameplay. this game is no longer fair
My favorite fight in my first playthrough was the tree spirit in the War Dead catacombs - not for the boss itself, but because I somehow managed to call in the same cooperator twice in a row before we were able to take it down. I died when there was only a frustratingly invisible sliver of health left on the first attempt, and then started genuinely cheering out loud when the same player's summon sign showed up again and they responded to getting called in for the assist. We spent a solid minute doing jumping for joy emotes over being reunited for a rematch, before heading into the fight and absolutely crushing it together. Whoever you are, I'll never forget you! For all the breathtaking moments in this game, that's the one that stuck with me.
My favorite boss was the Regal Ancestral Spirit. The stage design made it look out this world, with the boss fight itself being fair and memorable. Not as popular as Radahn, Godfrey, or Malenia, but it’s always been my personal favorite.
My favorite boss is Mohg, both versions. I love how the first one feels like an dance, all the attacks are clearly telegraphed but not incredibly easy to dodge. The second one is more epic, the soundtrack is amazing and the phase transition is incredible. The fight feels chaotic, and I really dig it. Also, I love the lore behind him
Spicee dominating races as always. I remember the pain runners had to go through during the sisters gank every single run and and it didn't help that that part was almost at the very end. GGs to all the runners who sacrificed their sanity for such great content. Maliketh phase 2 is my favourite boss, it's just so fun to fight him in phase 2.
My personal favourite fight is Malenia. Even with her insane difficulty, learning her never felt like it was a chore, it was fun, and the rush I got from beating her was unparalleled. Also helps that she reminds me of my favourite FS game, Sekiro.
Oddly enough, for me Morgott the Omen King has to be my favorite boss. From the multiple encounters you have with him that builds up a rivalry, to the way as a lord perspective you see that this is a man who wants the best for his people and to rise up to the challenge that was taking the place of his parents. Morgott to me just has a fantastic boss fight, but the lore behind it is what makes it the best.
If I had to pick one boss as my favorite, I think it woul have to be Astel. It's honestly his design that makes him my favorite. Astrology was something I was facinated by as a kid, and so fighting a boss that looks like the cosmos came alive was so cool.
Great content! These videos keep me coming back to Elden Ring. Going with Malenia as my favorite, the only boss I couldn't beat in my initial session encounter. She was a next day victory. :)
While it wasn't a particularly challenging boss, I really liked the Regal Ancestor Spirit fight. The music and visuals were really cool, and it was one of those bosses that you almost feel bad for defeating.
Malenia is definitely my favorite boss, though that is only because i’ve practiced her alot some time ago and it’s fun to win without taking too much damage
Loretta (the real one) is definitely my favorite boss. She's not really hard, but she gave me a lot of trouble during my first playthrough. I love the way she use a mix of melee and ranged attack, and especially her ash of war.
My favorite bossfight has to be Rykard. It’s the first gimmick boss that’s actually really good and challenging. He’s just so refreshing after all those soulsbornes. The fight literally takes place in hell and no other soulsborne boss ever managed to transfer that scary atmosphere to me.
It's also the nostalgia to Yhorm the giant from dark souls 3 that makes him such a cool boss and how he is so large with the surroundings it just looks so awesome and is definitely the funnest boss
Radahn has to be my favourite. The cinematic feel of the boss with the player fighting along side all these other warriors, needing a army to take down this behemoth. His lore is pretty cool and makes him a neat character who fell from grace. The fight itself is great, allowing the player to fight mounted. And of course his design is amazing, a new iconic souls character.
My favorite is probably Margit, I love how his AI improves throughout the fight, and how he acts as a secondary tutorial boss that requires learning, skill, patience, amd a whole lot of attempts (at least the first few times through)
My favorite boss would be Maliketh the black blade when I saw him in the trailer I wanted to find him and Malenia. His lore and unique lines u can get from his quest line adds more to his character. Having an endurance battle between Marika's shadow in a shattered city for the rune of death is an unforgettable experience.
Honestly my favorite fight was Radagon's. Just the whole spectacle and his opening cutscene, combined with the music and his design made it a true fight to remember. Not including the Elden Beast though 😅👀
@@nametagmc7935 That's the issue though. I'm mostly fine with an attack that's just hard to avoid but that spin move if he uses it at close range it's too fast to dodge the whole thing.
@@nametagmc7935 nah man, the sword/dagger, sword/dagger, stick combo is literally undodgeable. One of the attacks will hit you unless you are out of range which is bs for melee. Other than that he's annoying, but fair.
Their reaction time is insane. Blink dodge grab. Id be lucky to move out of the way of krillen's grandma's walker grab when she forgot to take her meds that day... Or yamcha.
My favorite boss in Elden Ring is Malenia! Even though she's so difficult, I never get tired of fighting her! Honorable mentions are Radahn, Maliketh and Placidusax
I think it might be Malekith. I've done the deathroot quest before, so having that fight again is kinda cool, but then the transition into the second phase is just so... menacing and the sound of the medallion being shattered is kinda satisfying. Haven't beaten him yet, but I feel the way he slowly pulls the big sword out of his hand is gonna stay with me for a while. Grappler Loux was also pretty cool with how he throws you around the arena its super hype, but Malekith seems even more memorable.
My favorite boss definitely goes to Fire Giant. I know everyone hates him and he is usually a pretty big road block for some people but his lore being the last Fire giant and in his weakened state he still was protecting anyone from burning down the erdtree even going as far as ripping his leg off as an offering is crazy and the fight can be really fun with friends.
My favorite boss I've encountered so far was the Godskin in the large tower (the skinny one). You have to climb all the way and all the way back down, I was under leveled and didn't know what to expect. Encountering him for the first time was so creepy and memorable.
Enjoyed the video! My favorite boss would probably be Morgott, especially when you're underleveled. The buildup to the fight and the fight itself was perfect to me and such a great test of your skills and growth as a player
Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella is my favorite boss. Epic visuals, sounds, great moveset, phase change, and a boss that actually telegraphs attacks well, plus an insanely cool arena. maybe it's considered an "easy" fight but it so far has been the only fight that's truly felt overwhelming in scale but also fair in my 50 hours of the game.
this is probably an oddball choice, but alecto is just an amazing fight for my play style. she’s aggressive, her moveset is gorgeous (that acrobatic spin where she uses her knife as a pivot is brilliant) and she just looks so badass. imo the perfect example of a glass cannon boss
Digging through the comments to see if she was on the list. Gave me a harder time than anything else in the game for some reason. Just managed to beat her hitless. Felt really, really satisfying.
My favorite is definitely Radagon/Elden Beast. There’s something so grandiose about the music in the first phase, followed by Elden Beast and its melodic piano that just makes it all come together to create something magical.
I think my favorite boss in Elden Ring is Placidusax, he's pretty easy (the hardest part is to endure going to him again if you died), he has a pretty cool lore and I love his nuke attack - pure satisfaction for eyes
Horoah Loux for sure, the fight starts "pretty normal", but the way he enters second phase and then he just bursts on your way with bloody eyes and bare hands is priceless, also his moveset is funny and incredible at the same time.
My favourite boss is definitely Mohg. I like how he has no redeeming qualities he's just evil lol I also think his attacks are fun to learn and I actually enjoy the bloodfire on the floor in phase 2 since it requires you to position properly. Also the music is just 👌🏻
Favorite is soldier of godrick, arguably one of the bosses in the game, fromsoft hits you with this guy early and his diverse and uniqe moveset truly shows how much work went into him. He's a really inspiring boss and that's why he's my pick.
@@joshualing5667 bro, it was just a comment I thought was funny and I thought it would make someone smile at least. If you find it unfunny there is no reason to say that, just move on and have a good day. All the best.
This is an incredible video. It makes me want to come back to ER. I am no speed runner but I do enjoy the various parts of the game and these guys made this speedrun looks awesome.
Maliketh is my favourite. His design is just so cool, and his phase transition is nuts, seeing him transform you just know he’s gonna kick the shit out of you.
Fire Giant is my personal favorite, it’s the first real giant that isn’t a pushover in this series, and really makes you feel like you’re fighting an ancient massive being.
Favorite boss? Hmmm... there are lots of good bosses but I would have to say is the Ancestor Spirit. The boss looks extremely cool and the fight isnt difficult but it doesn't need to be.
My favorite boss in Elden Ring so far is Malenia (the furled finger version) I just like to solo her but I'm not like let me solo her I sometimes take damage and rarely fight her no hit
My favorite boss is Malenia. I love her design and movements. She is an unforgettable boss. The first time you enter the arena, you literally die in 10 seconds, the time it takes for her to reach you. At first, it seems impossible to defeat, but I think that's the magic behind the fight.

When he ask favorite boss, I immediately thought of Godfrey and Hoarah Lux, epic battle.
Absolutely. Godfrey's reasonably tough without feeling cheap or annoying like many Elden Ring bosses. Easily the most fun fight in the game while being awesome lore-wise as well.

My favourite boss is definitely Starscourge Radahn as he is(at least was on the release) one of the harder(but not unfair) bosses in the game. Also i like the whole festival gimmick
I miss pre nerf radahn. He’s a cakewalk now.

Can we just appreciate how clean those Malenia fights were.. Amazing work. These are some high level players. Bummer with the bad luck at the end but he managed to pull off the victory! The fact that they were just seconds apart is so impressive. Speedrunners play at such a high level that they are only seconds apart from each other
My favorite is the WARRIOR!!! It’s a well put together fight that has important lore behind it and is a fair fight and not to take from the WARRIOR!!!

absolutely. mechanics and perfection. i love it
I haven’t seen a lot of others say this, but my favorite boss might have been maliketh the black blade. It was the most surprising “this boss is so easy” to “…. There’s a phase 2…” moment. The transformation was also really cool. I found I had to really learn his moves and dodge them with specific strategies vs just being able to wing it with other bosses.
Maliketh was an absolute bitch in any challenge run I did.
Still love him though
My favorite boss was definitely always that one. From everything you said. It also had a nice element that some players would fall off the edge by trying to stay too far away.
That Starscourge guy that flies in like a comet ain't too bad either. That might be my 2nd favorite.
@@Chimchimchu That boss was sooo good that people cried for a nerf because they sucked at beating him lmao.
Fromsoft starts are always brutal.
he teaches everything, really.
how dynamic elden ring combat is, with you a lot of times being able to sneak r1s between hits in the same combo, delayed attacks, even undodgeable attacks that you just have to either light roll, or run away from
also if I'm not mistaken he has some strafeable attacks, and there's another mechanic.
ER is my first souls and it took me like 25 attempts with summons to kill that bastard😂

Morgott is so damn cool being a decent challenge and having great animations
Rematching the first boss is also another big factor
I really like watching these videos of your speed running competitions, it's really fun to watch players complete specific goals instead of the entire game. And it's also nice to have you explaining what the speed runners are doing! It makes watching less confusing and more comfortable.
Also favorite boss has got to be stars courge Radahn because of his (comically small) horse carrying him.
God I just love mohg, he's just so fun. With the music slowly building, the countdown in Latin, it all just builds to one of my favorite moments in gaming. The NIHIL that leads to phase 2, unleashing all the blood flame and the flare up of the music, it is so good
His theme is amazing and he really feels like a villain.
Same bro hes my favorite
My favourite boss is Placidusax. His fight is one big spectacle. The arena, the music that depends on his actions and his moves, especially thundercloud, the laser attack and the big explosionspear are all exciting to me. This challenge by the way is very nice.
It's a chilling environment and build up for a boss who looks so intimidating just floating there.
Crumbling azula is such a strong area as well 2 of my favorite bosses and so many cool dragons
Now with Bayle, the legend is completed.
hoarah loux is my favorite boss for sureeeee, his attack animations are so crisp and were, frankly, INSANE. from beginning to end it shows the first elden lord becoming more and more beastly and barbaric. i love it.
Lorewise he’s not becoming more beastly and barbaric, he’s returning to how he was before becoming Elden Lord

Congrats to the runners!
thanks for the comment, I did not have notice it
Malenia is easily my favorite boss in the game.
@@kitara373 I think if the waterfowl dance was slowed down and the first phase health was reduced by a quarter, she would be the best boss in the game.
i think the boss would be fine if not the couple unfair movesets
when i 'beat' malenia, the first thing on my mind was a casual "ok, surely there's a phase 2" AND THEN THERE ACTUALLY WAS A PHASE 2
@@soulsplayingidiot I think there's something to be said for unfairly hard optional bosses. I'd be kinda upset with waterfowl if you needed to fight malenia, but, she's just there as a challenge for people that want that kind of difficulty, and since these games are 15 years old by now a fair bit of bullshittery is required to give the vets their difficulty
edit: it's also a move you can perfectly dodge, but only if you know how to, probably from looking up how to do it online. Miyazaki has always stated that part of his games are ment to be figured out as a community, this view extending to bossfights rather than just lore makes sense as a continuation
loved how this video was edited and narrated and all. hiding the timer is cool i loved the drama of it all keep it up.
Gotta be the godskin duo the fact that they are so well put together and everything from the entrance, lore implications and the rewards make it such a fun and memorable fight
Its perfectly balanced and makes players often drastically change their playstyle to fight them

Radagon was easily my favorite boss. The lore buildup, the music, the color palette, the parries, it was all fantastic.
shame ruined by the Elden Beast boss fight
My favorite boss is easily Hoarah Loux, the battle just has such a great flow of dodging and attacking that I felt was lacking in other boss fights
Agreed
Agreed, him and Margit are my favourites to fight
I love the lore and character behind Margit/Morgot, the duality of a character assuming the kingwood of society that hates him, out of pure loyalty, and the detail of his father coming back as a Tarnished, lamenting his end
I love how cinematic every major boss in Elden Ring is, so it’s hard me to choose, but I’d definitely have to go with Radahn. Facing him pre-nerf was such a huge challenge and the environment was awesome, and getting to fight him with the boys was icing on the cake
it's hard to play other video games after Dark souls and Elden ring with such cinematic bosses. The only thing i can think of is Nier Automata
Radahn's nerf was reversed back in April. He's full strength.
@Poe Soul You got it all right my friend, I'm currently trying to beat her only by avoiding her waterflow with rolls and from close distance, and it is so painful having to put her to midlife at every trial, but I won't kill her until I manage to do it because I know the satisfaction at the end will be worth the pain
Have a great day guys and enjoy the game !
@@akeyasa2228 still doesnt make her fair
Margit, he’s a great first boss introducing new players to difficulty and he has an awesome attack pattern

Both twins have amazing lore. Mohg is super cool too
If I had to pick one boss as my favorite, I think it woul have to be Astel. It's honestly his design that makes him my favorite. Astrology was something I was facinated by as a kid, and so fighting a boss that looks like the cosmos came alive was so cool.
Yeah from a design perspective he’s one of the coolest. Reminds me so much of my first souls game, bloodbourne
Radahn is my favorite fight. The arena, phase transition, design, atmosphere and lore is just🤩

Really goes to show that a speed run isn't over until it's over. You can make mistakes and still come out on top
I've practiced her enough times to beat her first phase with no damage but second phase I don't know what the fuck is going on. 😂
she's a boring as fuck boss. Just swings her sword normally. Figure out how to dodge waterfowl and then ez clap
Loretta (the real one) is definitely my favorite boss. She's not really hard, but she gave me a lot of trouble during my first playthrough. I love the way she use a mix of melee and ranged attack, and especially her ash of war.
Omg this had me on the edge of my seat. You covering the timer was a good touch. Great video dude.
Morgott is my favorite by far his OST, his lore and the challenge and if you’re not using overleveled stuff is on of the most fun Fromsoft Bosses.
Michu: actually being skilled at the game, knowing every boss moveset and how to fight them
Spicee: jack fighting the senator.
Radahn is definitely my favorite. He was big, imposing and unique. I loved the war on him that you could do with the summons.
Morgott is easily my favourite boss, the voice acting the gameplay is just amazing. Not to mention his lore is also amazing.
My favorite is probably Margit, I love how his AI improves throughout the fight, and how he acts as a secondary tutorial boss that requires learning, skill, patience, amd a whole lot of attempts (at least the first few times through)
On the playthrough i beat the game in i beat him first try but i did have practice from beating him in a prior playthrough which took me 5-6 tries
thanks for the challenge mate! a blessing to watch all these talented players!

Radagon was awesome but elden beast on the other hand was super annoying as he would go to the other side of the map when you hit him

My favorite boss in Elden Ring is Malenia! Even though she's so difficult, I never get tired of fighting her! Honorable mentions are Radahn, Maliketh and Placidusax
Dat Placidussy tho
I think it might be Malekith. I've done the deathroot quest before, so having that fight again is kinda cool, but then the transition into the second phase is just so... menacing and the sound of the medallion being shattered is kinda satisfying. Haven't beaten him yet, but I feel the way he slowly pulls the big sword out of his hand is gonna stay with me for a while.
Grappler Loux was also pretty cool with how he throws you around the arena its super hype, but Malekith seems even more memorable.
Maliketh not malekith
My favorite boss definitely goes to Fire Giant. I know everyone hates him and he is usually a pretty big road block for some people but his lore being the last Fire giant and in his weakened state he still was protecting anyone from burning down the erdtree even going as far as ripping his leg off as an offering is crazy and the fight can be really fun with friends.
That was amazing. Good job to both runners, thanks for the awesome video
My favorite boss is Starscourge Radahn. The huge arena, the second phase, and the rewards for killing him are amazing.
Your commentary setting up this speed run is on point! Very entertaining.
Holy crap, they have perfected the game. The planning and time to develop the strategy is amazing.
this is probably an oddball choice, but alecto is just an amazing fight for my play style. she’s aggressive, her moveset is gorgeous (that acrobatic spin where she uses her knife as a pivot is brilliant) and she just looks so badass. imo the perfect example of a glass cannon boss
Digging through the comments to see if she was on the list. Gave me a harder time than anything else in the game for some reason. Just managed to beat her hitless. Felt really, really satisfying.
yeah, i was going to say that, i loved the fight, almost felt like i was playing a bit of sekiro while i did it
Wow, seeing 2 very close runs side by side is quite fun ^^
My favorite is definitely Radagon/Elden Beast. There’s something so grandiose about the music in the first phase, followed by Elden Beast and its melodic piano that just makes it all come together to create something magical.
almost exactly what i said, it was such an epic moment in the game, so good.
Do you hate elden stars though?
Both Astels are my favorite bosses. Their design is amazing and as a star scourge great sword user they're easy without being pushovers
no offence, but those bosses ARE pushovers. Wack em in teh head a few times... DED.
I think my favorite boss in Elden Ring is Placidusax, he's pretty easy (the hardest part is to endure going to him again if you died), he has a pretty cool lore and I love his nuke attack - pure satisfaction for eyes

the nuke attack probably has some of the best sound design in the game too
@@Jazmunky There's a nuke attack? 😱

Really cool, congrats to the winner. Wasn't expecting that :D was a pleasure to watch the vid :)
Favorite boss? Hmmm... there are lots of good bosses but I would have to say is the Ancestor Spirit. The boss looks extremely cool and the fight isnt difficult but it doesn't need to be.
WAIT SO YOU SHOWED THE 2ND AND 3RD PLACE FINISHERS!?!?! YOU DIDNT EVEN SHOW THE PERSON WHO GOT FIRST? FORSA? LOL!
He showed the most interesting runs

My favorite boss in Elden Ring so far is Malenia (the furled finger version) I just like to solo her but I'm not like let me solo her I sometimes take damage and rarely fight her no hit
20:50 does anyone know the soundtrack playing? it’s lovely and i really want to relisten to it
edit: Malenia’s theme remixed by Alex Roe
My favorite boss is Malenia. I love her design and movements. She is an unforgettable boss. The first time you enter the arena, you literally die in 10 seconds, the time it takes for her to reach you. At first, it seems impossible to defeat, but I think that's the magic behind the fight.
