Compared to the JCW how did the exhaust sound? I'm tempted by this but the new exhaust which has to meet the new enviro/noise standards concernes me. I love my JCW but couldn't love with a worse exhaust especially on a car like this

When i look at those wheel arches i think, there must be a reason for adding them, and I've come to the conclusion they will be a lot easier and cheaper to repair than body work when in side by side racing. So I see them as body protectors, and not much else.
This is literally the best looking new hatch imo. I think I'm most excited for this garage addition for you. I would love to buy this but I just don't wanna get rid of my R53 version. 100% a future classic.
I love this and wish I could afford one! I too would remove the chrome strip between the top and bottom halves of the car and will be doing so with my black Cooper S due to reach me in March so it’s on the 20 plate. I absolutely love the spoiler, it really sets the car off and although I may upset some folks, I cannot help but see the similarity visually to the Metro 6R4. Obvs this GP is in a different league altogether when comparing anything and everything else. I imagine they’re all spoken for now and there will be lots of happy people who have paid their deposit and will keep doing a cartwheel as they count down to the delivery date they’ve been given!

Hi TGE, ordered also a GP 3 today, are you excited of the exhaust note? In spite of the OPF etc.? This is the only thing I´m afraid of - I´m driving a R56 LCI JCW with a Cooper S midpipe an it sounds perfect. Does ist crackle as much as former JCW models? In every video of the launch event the GP doesn´t crackle and doens´t makes pops an bangs ... :O Thanks in advance and regards from Germany! :)
Your into and outro music don't need to be 4 times louder than your talking and car's volume. Let your ears rest for 10-15 minutes and come back to check the volume levels before you finalize your video to upload. Also a good idea to invest in some cheap studio monitors to monitor your sound and levels. Mackie, Yamaha, KRK are all under $500 per pair. The Sennheiser 280 pro Headphones are also great and only $100. Everything videowise is nice just gotta keep track of those audio levels. I Can't wait to start seeing these GP's on the streets! I have a 2017 JCW and wish I had known sooner the GP was going to be available in the USA. I know you'll have mega fun driving your GP!!
The mini looks fantastic, will be amazingly fun. I was going to order a pretty standard cooper S. Until I found out these, including this one only has a 4 star euro n cap safety rating. Which was an absolute deal breaker and my personal opinion is totally unacceptable in this day and age, especially with the increased speed, increased number of SUV's, trucks etc on the road. I hate hate to think what the small overlap crash test result is on these minis. They are superb just don't have an accident in one!
Another unfinished product, a track toy without a proper roll cage like the megane trophyR , I don’t know why these cars have 2 seats without a roll cage totally disappointed.

They're incredibly fun. As far as modern cars go, they don't suffer much of the over-engineered, stale, clinical malady than many of their contemporaries do. They still have a whole lot of personality. I've owned many 'superior' cars (on paper) and a ridiculous amount of cars in general, my JCW is the car I say I would never sell. It is for me the perfect daily driver. Hope this helps.
It looks fantastic, i would of preferred it to just have a super charger, i used to have a 2003 Cooper s and you could hear that super charger instantly whirring and wining away! They are amazing little cars

It’s front wheel drive so will struggle off the line. 5.2 is very quick for a FWD, in fact I can’t think of many quicker?
