i am planning to upgrade to monatage from modx? i am not really like the sound quality on modx , is there big difference in sound quality in Montage compared to modX ?
If you are recording audio via USB, as in this video, the sound quality is 100% identical. However, if you monitor the analogue output, the Montage is distinctly superior, with its high-end DAC and audio output hardware.
Hi.. I managed to connect my Modx+ with FL Studio via usb Midi. How do I record automation on FL Studio? Meaning, when I play using knobs for live tweaking of various parameters, how to record them on FL ?
Automation is transmitted in a variety of ways, mostly through the MIDI channels of each separate part but also via SysEx. If you are recording all MIDI but not seeing automation record, you likely need to find a setting within FL to enable SysEx recording on channel 1. Sorry I can’t be more help but I’ve not used FL in any meaningful way.
@@KierDarby Thank you, I appreciate it. As a sidenote, I just want to say (after checking out your channel) that your content is some of the highest quality on UA-cam as far as these various topics go. It's absolutely fantastic, and you deserve the utmost that your channel keeps growing. I will definitely keep coming back.
@@KierDarby You are welcome. Update; I was able to get each audio to separate channels. However, I'm unable to do this with Midi unless I manually go into a part's mixer, then edit, then change the Part Output - if that makes sense. Is there a way to streamline this? I'm really a complete beginner with all this hardware stuff, so I'm thankful content like yours exists.
Follow these steps in this order: 1. Load the performance you want 2. Press SHIFT + UTILITY to access Quick Setup 3. Run Quick Setup 3: Audio Rec on DAW 4. Go to Settings > MIDI I/O 5. Ensure that MIDI IN/OUT is set to USB 6. Set Arp MIDI Out how you want it 7. Ensure that Receive and Transmit are ON 8. Go to Settings > MIDI I/O Mode and set it to Multi Note that you have to run Quick Setup 3 each time you load a new performance - it's not a setting, it's a macro, which changes each part of the current performance to output on separate USB channels. As soon as you load a new performance, it will default to simple stereo output again.
Very helpful thanks!!
You're welcome!

Is it even possible to do this in FL? I cannot for the life of me figure out how. I'd literally pay you for such a tutorial.
I’m sure it is… leave it with me and I’ll confirm when I’m back in the studio
