Thanks Kier. I have spent hours trying to figure this out using my Focusrite audio interface with Cubase on a Mac and you’ve solved the problem for me in a very straightforward easy to understand way. Brilliant! Thanks, Stewart
I installed montage vst into Cubase, but when I play it back, it’s playing a different note than the hard keyboard. Sounds like the soft synth is off by 1 or 2 semi tones. I don’t have other soft synths installed to test if it is the soft synth or Cubase?
Yes - connect your speakers directly to the MODX, connect the MODX via USB to the computer, then set Cubase to use the MODX audio interface as shown in the video
I can't find how or if it is possible to play the DAW (softsynth) sounds/tracks with my parts. Means, I have me comfortable splits with parts, and want to play according sounds in the DAW. Seems, noone wants that, needs that... so can't find instructions.
I don’t have a video on this specifically, apart from my ‘Integrating virtual instruments’ chapter of my Logic Pro series, but you could potentially get what you want from Scott’s video covering ZONE MASTER ua-cam.com/video/KynhPlDSJ5E/v-deo.htmlsi=c8IuxjV9t7KZxVuF
The "Audio Rec on DAW" quick setup isn't a setting, it's a macro, so each time you load a new performance you will need to run the macro to reroute the audio via multiple channels, as all the preset performances have stereo audio by default. You could always load the performance you want, run the Audio Rec on DAW quick setup and then save a copy of the performance if you want to have a multi-channel version available at all times.

That's great to hear, thanks for letting me know Stewart!

Do you Know how can I use modx sound to Cubase without a sound card because montage, modx have also sound card in them?

@@KierDarby same for the headphones ?
@@obisraelngawani1373 yes, treat the MODX as your sole audio interface for all input and output duties, speakers and headphones included
I go to studio on Asio driver and there is no modx7, it shows Yamaha steinberg USB another generic choice. I am such a novice.

Thank you Kier 👍
Very welcome Joel
Thank you
As soon as I pick another instrument it goes back to one stereo channel
How do I keep it "Audio through Daw"? It's when I choose another sound that it goes back to one
