Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro reinvents the classic story of a wooden puppet brought to life in this stunning stop-motion musical tale. - Розваги
I hope everyone understands just how deeply lucky we are to have this. Stop motion is a DYING form of filmmaking because it’s time consuming and expensive. So much love and care goes into every frame.
Dude, 110%!
Please support this film and the recently released Wendell and Wild. Such masterpieces!
I miss when stop motion/claymation commercials were common. They were so appealing.

This film had so much more soul and passion than Disney. It truly felt like a movie that anyone could watch regardless of age. Disney has lost that somewhere

Perhaps that’s not a hard feat to accomplish, though xD
Even though it’s not even Disney, this great movie honestly makes me hate Disney’s monotonous live action pieces of trash even more…

That line " Tell him I love him and I won't be a burden anymore" hits me in the feels. I've been called a burden numerous by my parents and it stuck with for all my life.
No one ever deserves to be called that. In truly abounding love, nobody is a burden, ever
I’m so sorry you were called a burden by your parents. Please know that unconditional love does not recognize anyone as being a burden. I hope in your life you have experienced that from someone or for someone.
What a burden to this comment string.
You are not a burden you are a child of God. God bless you. ❤
You are not a burden. I don’t know you personally but I know you got something unique and special to offer. If your parents don’t love you, just remember you habe a father in Heaven who loves you so so much. God’s plans are good and perfect, so in the most loving way possible stop thinking that you’re a burden. What gives you value is not what you do, nor what people define you as. What gives you value is the fact that you exist as man or woman, it immediately gives you the highest value no will ever be capable of Taking from you. Because you are made in the image and likeness of God, therefore that makes you incredibly valuable. Jesus loves you man. Look for him, wholeheartedly, humbly and you will find him. Accept him in your heart and believe in him and He will give you salvation and peace like no other. Love ya

I have always loved stop motion, ever since I first watched The Nightmare Before Christmas. For Pinocchio, you can literally see how much time, love, and care was put into this film. The 9 years of waiting was definitely worth it. It has now become one of my all time favorite movies, and I'm sure that it will be known as an instant classic in the next few years. Guillermo dedicated this film to his mother and that makes it more significant. I will definitely see the movie.
He's been trying to make the film since 2008. When he decided to abandon it, Netflix picked it up a few days after he won two Oscars for The Shape Of Water. So it's pretty much a passion project for him that he's been trying to develop and the fact that Del Toro has stated that animation is not a genre but a medium that can be enjoyed by everyone makes Bob Chapek's comments about animation only being for kids makes Del Toro's comments more honorable and respectful to the medium that Disney denigrates at the cost of profit.
Del Toro's take is filled with dark themes and subject matter such as being set in Mussolini's Fascist Italy as Gepetto and Pinnochio deal with Il Duce's regime while offering both an illuminative and creative take on the beloved children's character.
Plus, when he attended the world premiere the day after his mother died, he said she would have loved to be with him and trusted that he made a great film.

OSCAR WINNER Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio!!!
This looks like it will definitely be MUCH better than the Live Action Disney version:
- It's a beautiful stop motion
- I love the twist on the Blue Fairy being a mystical spirit animal guardian in the form of a Sphinx
- They had a go at making Jiminy Cricket realistic & it worked, he looks cool & magical at the same time
- The puppet master (Stromboli?) as a villain works
- The moral of the story also works (he is immortal & only has a number of time to be with loved ones like his father, who is an old man)
This will surely be better than the live action Disney version
The actual name for the character is Mangiafacuo not Stromboli in the book, unlike the disney version. I watched this version of Pinocchio for the first time. The storyline is perfect. I cried almost every scene.
if i cried during every scene then it would because of how bad it was
Already knowing the story and having the trailer show how it plays out, the art style and visuals are so captivating that it doesn’t matter. It’s more of an artistic journey than a narrative one to me. It looks incredible.
From what I understand from early reviews, there's more twists and turns in the story than what the trailer shows.
the movie is almost 2hrs long. this trailer didn't really show much, its more or less a summary, in my opinion.
Yeah from what I understand there's a bit of del Toro-style, lore subversion that's supposed to be happening here.
@@moondawwg Indeed.
The trailer never even showed what Pleasure Island/ The Land of Play/ whatever they're going to call it will be like in this version.
@@Adamguy2003 my theory is that due to the lack of the fox and cat and the coachman, the Pleasure island might be reinterpreted to fit the new setting.
When I see it, I'll let you know whether i was right or wrong.
I haven’t felt this way about an animated movie since Klaus, and even then the trailer didn’t give me as many chills as this one every. time.
Dude, klaus was amazing. One of the best christmas movies i have ever seen
I never said it was bad? It’s one of my favourites
@@IMakeDumbStuff i know, im just agreeing
@@bauti2112 oh ok 👌
The fairy sphinx design is very Signature Del Torro, akin to Hellboy/Pans labyrinth and his other wonderful work. I love this pagan/gothic style imagery he has. Much respect to one the few folks who truly love the craft.
It is Death not a Fairy.
@@cimar14 - How did you interpret that Sphinx as death when you clearly see it in the trailer breathing life into Pinocchio
@@westnile21 because she puts a borrowed soul in the wooden boy...
Watch the movie and then talk
@@westnile21 its two spirits. Blue Fairy and Death (Sphinx), sisters, but they are played by the same actress.
@@cimar14 - But IN THE TRAILER it’s giving the wooden doll LIFE not death that’s what I’m referencing
Just finished watched this movie and man, I cried like a baby at the ending! From beginning to the end, this movie has me on many different emotions and learning curves in life we experience! Amazing movie! Superb!
The part where he says he doesn’t wish to be a burden anymore… that hits close to home. All the themes and messages inside this one trailer outweigh anything Disney has made in years. I can’t wait to see this masterpiece of animation!
Remember seeing concept art for this film in high school years ago and liking how different it looked. Seeing the movie now, it looks fabulous
Right!! If I remember the original still had more of a cartoon, blocky look. But the color choices and designs are still all pretty much the same
Let's admit that this is the best Pinocchio film this year out of the three, right?
Easily the best one, there is no argument. Guillermo spent so many years in development hell after working on this project, and you can tell that he really put his heart and soul into this film.
I mean
Duh , i'll cry like a baby watching this .
wrong
Man, this movie moved me. Thank you, Guillermo and Mark.
yeah thank you guillermo and mark......... for nothing
Guillermo has come to save us all from the wretched onslaught of bad Pinocchio movies.
The blue fairy sphinx is sooooo cool, oh my god I’m so excited
and redeem himself from "Shape of Water" (in my eyes at least because I was disappointed with it).
Pauley Shore's masterpiece called and would like to have a word with you.
@@kikibrann6104 you know what, you’re right.
“Faaaather, when can I leave to be on my OOoOwn✨🌈🌈”

Christoph Waltz‘s voice never ceases to amaze me! What an amazing cast
*Guillermo del toro and crew won an OSCAR!* 🤌🏽
it sucked attached is a thumbs down emoji please talk to it Guillermo del Toro👎
This movie was overwhelmingly beautiful and emotional. I cried A LOT to the point that I'm not sure I can watch it again. By the end my eyes burned from the tears. Still, it is a unique movie and nothing like any animation movie I've ever seen.
This trailer made me cry, I can't even remember the last time that happened and that is something very special. I hope the film has as much heart as this trailer, it's just so beautiful.
Every single stop motion movie is a banger and you can't convince me otherwise. There's just something about getting the story perfectly so you can pour all your dedication into it.
There's some stinkers out there but most are great
@@Echoesoftimelover yeah true. Like that weird Rogan Christmas one? Terrible
@Jane thats a series, not a movie.
@@IzDBun still stop motion and it still sucks. Doesn't seem productive to nitpick if it's a movie or a series because frankly series are just extra long movies.
@@Jane-ow7sr We gotta accept that the original Lost World movie was only good because of the stop motion dinos, same wirh The beast from 20.000 Fathoms
I just finished watching it and was moved to tears. I thought it was so much more beautiful than the Disney remake. Toro did everything right. May this film win all the Oscars in the world.
I just saw the movie, and oh boy oh boy it was good!
It's really refreshing in animation world to have beautifully hand crafted stop motion films every now and then.
2 hour long stop motion animation mixed with Del Toro's style is truly an amazing spectacle!
hey guess what i saw this movie and oh boy oh boy it was bad
@@user-se7dj6he3e If you want, you can elaborate your review.
How was it bad?
This looks so heartfelt and beautiful. Guillermo's masterful vision is what the story of Pinocchio needed.
Guillermo has been working on this project for so long, still remember hearing about this back in 2014, I’m excited to finally see it.
this was majestic when i watched it
Did anyone else tear up?! So emotional, Del Toro is a GOD of Film!
This looks so beautiful, the art design, the characters, the story itself. I know we all know this story, but you can really tell the love and care that Guillermo del Toro is delivering here. Heck, this isn't out yet and is already way better than the recent's mouse live action. When there is actual love for an IP the results shine for themselves. This is already the winner for Best Animated Picture, the Academy has done wrong to Netflix in the past (KLAUS deserved to win), hope they don't mess it up with this one.
Damn, Guillermo Del Toro is getting all the love this year. Good for him, happy to see he is finally getting the love he deserves.
I'm crying as I'm typing right now this movie was sooo good teaches you soo many things in life thank you Guillermo del Toro
Something about Guillermo's way of cinema making gives me chills. This is going to be epic.
