The child voice actor for Pinocchio is like hearing an angel singing 😊😇
gregory mann is going to go places for sure. what an incredible voice, and his great VAing was just the cherry on the top.
Yes!!!! Is an authentic angel !
How can you tell what I feel so much from inside....Ciao Pappa
Warms your heart, gets you thinking about your relationship with your own kids.
I sang my mother from the chipmunks adventure as a baby but now I feel like crying to my mother&to this song...my heart is not melting at all
Take notes Disney this is how you tell a story make it's difference from the Original but keep the original message of it
Without a doubt, Disney has been defeated.
Guillermo del Toro always makes everything so amazing and adapts it to perfection.
Well, yes, it would be good for that to happen, but there are also many people who do not like changes and just for a small change that can be insignificant, many people will complain in a worse way than a small child who cries because they do not give them their favorite food. or they don't buy him a toy
@@davidosoriomaciel2486 I was about to comment the same thing but you beat me to it😅
Well said my friend, well said. 🎯💯.
He probably pitched it to Disney and they were like, "this is sh*t Guillermo, this is sh*t. We won't make money with this". And here we are, the fans all love it and are waiting to watch and embrace it with open arms
This because disney is padding woke
This movie absolutely blew my expectations. So much heart and passion went into this story. 100x better than the soulless cash grab Disney recently released of the same title
True that lol!! Tbh the only part of the Disney remake I liked was the kid who did the voice of Pinocchio himself (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth). I basically only watched the movie for him lol
yes
This was one of only two movies to make me cry
Well this movie has been in the works for 1 decade
PREACH!
the way he sings "the sounds of birds chirping with bells" and then "maybe i'll see a camel cry" is sooo pleasing, whoever decided on this melody is a genius
Del Toro wrote the songs
@@davidmoreno1397 i think he wrote the text, not the melody. That was done by
Alexandre Desplat.
@@Manoahmanolo you are correct 👍
Dude, I get goosebumps. The only time I would use angelical to describe something is whe he sings those lines.

If this doesn't win an oscar then the people don't know what is art
I agree the Oscar's are rigged.
And if it doesn’t then we know it’s the same reason as Mitchell’s vs the machines got snubbed
The Oscar’s are a joke. The fact it took up until the Revenant for Leo to win an Oscar, should tell you all there is to know.
At least the shape of water won an oscar, which is for me well deserved 👌
It should win multiple awards, Best Original Song, Best Animated Picture, and BEST PICTURE
The fact that Giullermo's Pinocchio took roughly over 15 years to make a masterpiece like this should get an oscar
source?
@@Tophatcat_game The movie was announced in 2008 lol
Guillermo's concept of making a Pinocchio movie took 15 years, yes. But he only started working on it again when Netflix picked it up out of the debris.
Not to mention on a shoestring budget. This film cost 35 million to make.
In contrast, the Disney remake cost 150 million and adjusted for inflation, the 1940 original cost 55 million. And while it may not be fair to compare a modern movie to one that's 82 years old, but the Del Toro movie blows it out of the water.
@@YokiDokiPanic damn right
Every child is meant to leave their parents eventually and set out on their own journey in life. I think it captured the emotions of both the child and the father in that moment so perfectly within its lyrics.

Facts i cry everytime i hear this song
I’m usually not the type of person to get emotional with a movie to the point of crying, and I don’t know how but all of a sudden at the end of the movie I found myself not crying, but weeping. The movie triggered memories of my dad who passed away a little over 2 years ago, before I turned 18, and when it happened he was away from home, in a different city. I’m not really good with grief and at that time I couldn’t really process the fact that I would no longer have him around, I really loved him, but I feel like at that time I was ignoring what happened. The relationship between Pinocchio and Gepetto in this movie was so moving, I couldn’t avoid to mourn for my dad, it took me this long to really free my feelings and let it all out. I’m incredibly grateful to Guillermo del Toro and to all the wonderful people who made this version of Pinocchio possible, amazing voice acting and cinematography, Thank u Mexico as well for producing such talented directors.
Truly the comment of A King. 👑
Salute, Sir!

I didn't cry for my sweet papa who died at the age of 91, a year ago. This film triggered my love, my memories, my sadness. Amazing...
This song is Guillermo del toro’s answer to “when you wish upon a star”. The amount of soul put into this can honestly be debatably better than Disney. I can see this getting an Oscar nom for best song.
Anything is better than Disney’s soulless live action remake. There’s a reason why it was straight to Disney+ and not nationally to theaters.
100% agree
Nah the best song is "Around the world" by daft punk where they say around the world 250 times.
Lol
Oscar nominee?! No....This song...NEED to win
This is why I tell people I'll forever prefer handdrawn/handmade animated films rather than live action. there's just undeniable heart and soul poured into it. every detail is accounted for, and its not cheaply made for an easy coin. you can tell they ACTUALLY wanted to tell a story, and they did masterfully
some live actions had the same affect, like jaws, wich no matter how many times the shark died, or how much time or money was lost, spielberg did al that he could so that this movie got out into the world, a well made, well crafted story that took alot of time and effort to make, people leaving many times, alot of money lost, the goddam bruce animatronic not taking the sea water very well and practically no lines, my favourite movie, definetly needed the besst spielberg movie thing
why schindler's list, why?
It also depends who’s telling the story and clearly Guillermo Del Toro had the need to tell this story in his own way. Eres Un Icono Guillermo Del Toro!

This kids voice is so beautiful. He did an amazing job.
Seriously. Such an angelic voice. Regardless of where his voice goes as he gets older, I hope he has so much pride in what he has done here. I truly wept.
I'm in awe of this film. I just finished It and was left in tears. Gregory Mann did a phenomenal job, his voice transpires all the empathy and innocence of Pinocchio
And I had no idea that Ewan McGregor could do such a genuinely great job at voice acting. Everything about those two voices was great.

Mee too. My dad die 3 months ago.
This song reminds me of my Grandpa Frank, who died from cancer last year on the night of October 8th, and it was very sad and tragic. And since my Grandpa was once raised from Italian religion, I think this song would sound fitting for my poor Grandpa.
Rest In Peace, Grandpa Frank.

The voice actor for Pinocchio has an absolutely angelic and soft voice. I thought his little voice fit Pinnochio so well. Kudos to him.
Though it's a shame Gregory Mann will grow up and probably won't have the same angelic voice had in the booth, his vocals as Pinocchio will forever leave a mark on us all.

But the overall talent Gregory Mann has in this performance will definitely get his foot in the door to more performances, only if he chooses to.
I cannot wait till this film gets an Oscar. The song itself should be nominated. Guillermo never misses a note when it comes to storytelling, I feel he puts his heart and soul into it all as any artist should 💯. Also the song comes off as pure and you can hear the child singing it clearly and wonderfully ❤
I think this movie should be easy to win Best Animated Feature. The last few winners were Disney animated movies looking at some Disney animated movies coming out this year, this movie shouldn't be hard to beat other Disney movies including Turning Red to win Best Animated Feature
Already nominated for Golden Globes.
Well except for the troll hunter’s movie that was meat to wrap up the trilogy. But I have a feeling that executives got involved and ruined it.
Oscars are stupid, they don’t select good movies to win that often. Stop pretending like they do.
It probably won't. It's a Netflix movie and the Academy really doesn't like Netflix. Especially this year.
Even if the oscars doesn't give it to this masterpiece, this is still the best animated feature of the year easily.
Of the decade you mean. I thought it was even better that Mr. Jack
@@MyriCool05 Neither the year or the decade. Story wise, way too dark and depressing..
@@tonyg76 That is subjective
@@MyriCool05 True. So is your opinion. That is the problem with movies. No one views them the same.
@@tonyg76 Exactly ! That's why I said « I thought ». But honestly, I think arguing with the deepness of Pinnochio over Mr Jack is possible. Depressing ? I don't think so. I think the movie shows the beauty through chaos and death. Through the eyes of the innocence (Pinocchio).
This movie and Coco are the most beautiful family-oriented children's movies I've seen in a long time. While watching them I find myself, just, weeping.
It's because both movies showed the reality and grief one goes through after losing someone close. This movie didn't hold hands with its audience. It respected them and took them on a sad, but BEAUTIFUL journey. This is life.
I absolute love this movie it’s actually my new favorite movie of all time but for most of the runtime I was saying to myself “HOW THE HELL DID THIS GET A PG RATING” I have never seen a movie where this many people die in a movie aside from corny slasher films. The story is very sad and depressing but that’s why I love it it does not talk down to kids aside from maybe the jokes this might be the first time kids get to see a dark film and take seriously.
@Aiden Potter I appreciate that this movie doesn't treat kids like simpletons. Death is a part of life. It is hard and heartbreaking, but there are plenty of joys and wonder to behold, as well. This has been my most favorite movie of the year. Also, it was a way for me to say goodbye to my Father. He passed away less than a year and this movie helped me with my grief. It made me cry like crazy, but it helped me and I know it will help others who have lost loved ones.

Ciao Papa deserves all the recognition it could get. Guillermo del Torro never disappoints with what he has in store for all audiences across the globe. The message really speaks to you on a more emotional level.
It doesn't deserve attention, it's another Italian thing that is destroyed by the Americans. Ciao Papa means "hello pope" in Italian. So you understand how cringe sounds to an Italian
