    Chase confirmed ENTP here. I listened to/watched hundreds of hours of various psychology lectures by various universities posted online while working out in my garage, I listen to language learning audio files while doing dishes, cooking, going for a walk, driving. I became an uber eats delivery driver, then a post-man specifically to listen to and watch lectures and listen to audio books while earning money I've listened to all of Chase's videos, a lot of them multiple times and f-loads of other stuff all while out driving around or exercising.
    The limitations to this is you cannot learn things outside of what Ne can put together without some form of practice. For example maths for me is a no go. Coding didn't really work. For those I need something physically in front of me to write down and practice until I get my head around it. When learning languages I need to sit down and spend an hour reading a new piece of material and learning the new grammar patterns or getting the vague idea of it before listening to audio of that or similar material in the target language on repeat. That takes care of the arduous memorisation. Learning very intuitive things like physiology, nutrition, chemistry to a certain extent is piss easy because you just need to have what happens described and you can visualise it well enough that you can kind of fill in all the gaps and eventually you just guess/theorise what comes next in the materials and always end up being right. Then automatically make connections between everything.
    Enjoy downloading the entire universe lol.

    Multitasking is how I get housework done! I listen to your UA-cam videos. Lol. Interesting that I am less bored listening to something educational than music when I have to do chores. I remember the concepts but not the details well unless I write it down in some skeleton form that organizes the info - even if I never read my notes again. Also getting into INTJ mode and focused studying was necessary for tougher subjects requiring detail processing - like cell biology, electrophysiology and organic chemistry!

    As an ENTP, multitasking is a good way to completely miss what you're trying to absorb, or at least lose the train of logic and be unable to follow complex topics.
    The key to making this work, if you want to do such a thing is to make sure the other task is mindless, so your focus can be mostly on the information, not the task. I still believe this to be suboptimal from an information gathering perspective, although it is an optimal use of time, if done properly.

    This is super applicable to INTPs as well. Especially the audiobook thing. People spend lifetimes researching a subject to give it to us in a book, and you can just finish one such book per day at 2x speed, and you would have read a whole library after 365 days.

    Awesome. I love this type of videos.
    A very critical question for me is: How does an ENTP make themselves more likeable?
    I've noticed that often people don't like us :) We can be arrogant and genuinely not caring about opinions of others (in the work context e.g.). And that might have negative consequences. So how can we learn to act so that others like us? It would be awesome if you could cover that anytime soon!

    As an INFP (i know you hate that lol sorry), I often have a hard time concentrating, especially on assignments I don't care about (which I guess is due to Fi hero). Sometimes I'll literally just sit there for a super long time, trying to get work done because I feel that I SHOULD be doing it, but not really achieve any progress because I'm super bored of it (but despite how bored I am I won't leave my workspace, since I have no sense of efficiency, as a control type).
    My question is, would you recommend an INFP to use some sort of multi-tasking strategy as well? Or do I just need to practice more self-discipline, and train my attention span?
    Thanks!

      I mean, all he said was 'go multitasking'. You dont have to wait for an answer, go try it right now, create audible and just clean your house while listening. Just try and see if it works.

      @@AshleyDeaton1230999 Honestly Im not sure how INTJ would have any problem learning in college. Paying attention only to your teacher, making sure you understand everything and always ask questions if you dont should do it. It was enough for me to be at the top %, I didnt even had to open any of my notes at home, Te sponge FTW. Mind mapping is just keeping track of your thoughts while you listen or read something, maybe it could help idk, I just store my thoughts as feelings on my 'giant mindmap of feelings inside my head' if I can say so. The only advice I can give is listen/read, take notes, feel/understand, thats how I do it. Im sorry if it wasnt helpful.

    • @AshleyDeaton1230999
      @AshleyDeaton1230999 4 роки тому +1

      @@Riiiiiingo I can't stand just sitting there and listening to someone talk for long periods of time. It doesn't really matter what the content of the lecture is. I just lose focus if I am not moving and interacting with my environment in an Se way. The desire to be moving and multitasking just overtakes me but there is nothing else I can be doing at times I'm in a lecture, so everything will just go in one ear and out the other a lot of days. I have zero questions about the content and zero thoughts about it. Zoom classes have been a blessing but they are something I don't want to get too used to. I don't care about being at the top of my class. I just do not see the purpose of it. So many of the things we are learning is just wide eyed theoretical stuff and I tend to not care unless there is a practical application.

    • @AshleyDeaton1230999
      @AshleyDeaton1230999 4 роки тому

      @@Riiiiiingo I also have zero moral ties to what I do. I've taken classes in other areas and I know for a fact two science degrees was the right call because whenever I take a social science class, I can figure out the professors opinions based on their thought patterns they share and then I am perpetually annoyed because it feels as if I just paid $1600 to have someone spout their opinions at me.

    Is it possible/probable for entps to be good at and interested in stereotypically Se-Ti type tasks? E.g. fixing cars, diy tasks, driving etc? Based on type grid etc someone i know seems very entp, however his interest and ability in all of this stuff confuses me. He can't be estp due to extremely informative communication style. I also don't think he is esfp as he seems very Ti parent and Fe child with little Fi. I think his parents are estp father and istj mother, he grew up with his dad constantly fixing cars etc and his mom encouraged him into a career in construction as a teenager (and he has never left despite often complaining of not enjoying it) so i don't know if he could be entp and his upbringing has influenced his skills

    I want to say C.S is correct and the OP is wrong about 'convention' I LOVE time tested methods. I also LOVE dressing them up, playing with them, and tearing them down. Depends on my mood, or what I want. You gotta realize that ideas and methodologies, we are Roman Caesars, and these conventions are OUR CHAMPIONS. "Go forth my champion, and fight this newcomer" We live for the arena. We are the bread and circus Colosseum patrons of ideas. I just want a good messy fight. Also I study better without distractions. I get 5 times more studying done in a library than at home. But I do enjoy having a 'hobby' piece of literature to take breaks from it.
