Uh no you can do this thing called circular breathing where you breath through your nose and out through your mouth and it usually makes you last a long time holding notes

Do you think god painted a Chevrolet in the factory in the 1950's, formed the gear shaft and weld bolted the body together to form what then is an automobile. Do you think the cake makers icing was thought up by god and when they baked the cake god gave them the power to turn off the over when it reached a time of 10 minutes. This is an independent strategy's given to the mortal man and women, not that of a gift from god. God didn't get me into university in 1956. To say that it was god that got people to were they are is revolting and pathetic. It undermines their hard efforts and makes this into a story more than an accomplishment.

I play the clarinet, and I can say play on the upper register is hard. She played it like fire! She did that note for so long and played it so good! She is a really good player.
It’s all about getting your mouth right. Practice perfecting your mouth and you’ll be able to play those notes. It sort of just becomes muscle memory at some point and you won’t even think about it.
I played for about 7 or so years myself, haven’t touched it in several because I passed it on to my nephew (don’t worry I still play other instruments). Was first chair in the band a lot of the time. First year was tough but I got an award for most improved, the main thing I focused on was getting the mouth right because I wanted perfect tone even if my playing was simple. From there I learned more complicated music. Not sure how far along you are with your journey, I’m just hoping this information helps anyone. Having a good mouth piece helps too. In my 2nd year I bought a really nice one and better ligatures. I then bought in the middle of that year a really nice clarinet. But before someone does that, you gotta perfect that mouth and get good tone. If you can make a cheap clarinet sound good, you can make a nice one sound really good.
@@rhrh2025 oh I’m sure she can, it’s why virtuoso’s are considered the worlds best teachers. They inherit their instrument as their entire life, they know it better than anyone else. Though I’m sure if she is giving lessons they’re closed sessions and cost a ridiculous amount (but since she’s also on the street just having a good time, I could be wrong on that.)
@@DisDatK9 I think that some people who are good at one thing might not be as good at *teaching* that thing than some people who are not as good. Not saying that's the case here(cause I don't know), just stating the possibility. Like, someone may be born a prodigy at something since birth and be unable to teach it to anyone else since it comes so naturally to them.

Once you become invested in the art, it feels like not a day goes by without playing music. I feel that music is one of the best gateways to emotional, physical, and spiritual freedom.
@@ethan.tangee It's okay with me if you brag. I've always played with people who were better musicians than I was. It always seemed easier to play with the better musicians. I played string bass in small dance combos almost exclusively; "casuals" is what we called such gigs. Often playing with a new group or musicians you've never previously met was interesting, enjoyable, and sometimes physically exhausting. I've told non-musicians that when they see a musician sweating on stage it is real because they've been giving the audience everything they have. I never made a living at it but I still miss it but I'm 82 and enjoy my leisure (too much). I hope you keep playing all of your days. BTW, what do you play?

First chair high school here and 6 years of marching band (2 in middle and 4 in high)! Just started back on clarinet about 3 months ago, definitely can still play but man is it hard to hit the high register. Started flute as well, much easier lol Started violin- it will be the death of me! Have fun and keep on keeping on!

Screaming soaring swinging jamming clarinet playing. Though I've always liked clarinet, I've never heard it sound like this. This, my friends, is how you're supposed to play. No vanity. Pure music. And a perfect example of virtuosity in a person who has a giant heart. Absolute soulful top level fun. Magnificent.

I have squeaked on my clarinet, honked on my verdi-gris alto horm, brushed my drums, put Brasso on the cymbals and yes I tinkle on those plastic keys..weighted or not to a point where I think I'm Oscar...And yes...did my time in the subway/street of your choice as a busker. AND do know you what? Watching this just makes me want to get out there and wail...yes WAIL!!!!...no bar manager/etc telling you how you should sound, or play, too slow, too fast, too loud ...etc.. You ,my fellow clarinettist, have inspired me to keep trying to hit those top A's at all occasions! Absolutely wonderful stuff or dare I say, what a wonderful world when you think about it. Nah man, i grew up in austin and have family in new orleans. Saw tons of live music in both growing up. More venues and small artists in Austin + south by southwest & ACL. Amazing music in both no doubt

Nah man, i grew up in austin and have family in new orleans. Saw tons of live music in both growing up. More venues and small artists in Austin + south by southwest & ACL. Amazing music in both no doubt

Fair enough, when I posted this years ago I did not know who she was. I will correct that immediately if I can figure out how. Might not be an option. But yes, she is much more than a street musician.
Well, at the top left side of your UA-cam window, there are 3 lines just left of the words "UA-cam". Click on that and it will open, scroll or look down until you see the words "Your videos" and click on that and you'll see all of the videos you've uploaded to your UA-cam channel, find this or any other video and place your pointer arrow on the thumbnail of your video, then, just to the right you should see 5 icons including the 3 dots. Click on those 3 dots and it should show the words "Edit title and description", proceed to edit and change the title of your video(s), then click "SAVE".
