There is obviously still little detail about the themes and story of Red Dead 2, but am I alone in thinking the date and focus on the end of the Wild West is a bit of a retread of Red Dead Redemption? It's literally what the entire narrative of RDR hinged on and only a decade separated. I would never doubt Rockstar, however. I'm sure the story will be sensational.
Game Brain John was shot in the robbery around 1906, so I think it was to be expected. I too thought it was going to take place before, but it makes sense. Besides, the RDR story took place pretty much on 1911, so we can expect this one to have a bigger development for each character if the story will be six or seven (in-game) years long.

Lol people always compare graphics of completely different games. Of course a 12 hour campaign only game is gonna have better graphics than this.
The reason it’s beautiful is because it looks so much better than Red Dead Redemption and GTA V. We get to witness an entire open sandbox with multiplayer in these graphics. That is amazing.

Well here's what we all do know.
If this game takes place in 1899 then that would mean that John must be with Abigale and Jack is born because John and Abigale had Jack around 1895
Also here's my theory on the lady that said He won't change.
I don't know for sure if it's Abigale but keep in mind she does look similar and keep in mind this would be a 12 year younger Abigale plus the graphics are much more real looking so it could be Abigale and when she says he won't change it could be that she's referring to John and his outlaw life style.

Michael Jackson sold the greatest selling album of all time, he had the voice of an angel as a child and so did all his other brothers. Music ran in the family. Look at Bruce and Brandon Lee. Both were some of the most skilled martial artist in the world when it came to the film industry. Sure anybody could learn the skill but not compare to talented genes. Science can actually prove that people naturally inherit skill and talent from relatives.
But regardless of the fact, it is undeniable that Jack is Johns son. Jack looks exactly like John if John were younger, they have the same body structure and even face and hair.

I just wish Take-Two hadn't committed to pulling resources away from the single-player game after launch to do Red Dead Online and its microtransactions.
It's gonna be a great game like GTA5 no doubt, but there will be no single-player expansions for it. No fun extras like Undead Nightmare was.

it depends on where the player base is, if the game comes out and not many people are playing online and everyone's on singleplayer, then they will make a SP DLC, if everyone's going for online then they will draw their attention there

it's said when talking about old games. It wasn't possible then to have good graphics, but old games have a lot of vaule to them that shouldn't be dissmissed. We also can't forget that old games tried their best to look good. If this is the best Rockstart can do they must be loosing their touch, because there are games from even 5 years ago that look better.

This game is going to be great. The trailers are lacking in good content though. And the reason there being so vague I believe is because it going to be a very ambitious narrative, most likely spanning from the very beginning of the van Der linde gang, to johns departure in 1906. The screenshots they released kind of confirm this, having a young freshly scarred john marston to the older one who looks identical to the one we played in the fist one. I even read a rumored leak that the entire game is going to be Jack reading through some old journals from his parents that he found. But hey, that's just a video game theory.
The game will probably be as good as the first, if not better, but this trailer was really weak. The second trailer was far better...
