Dri-core were good. Still have mine. Held up better than most. Always hoped the owner Mike Angelo would someday make breathable stockingfoot waders as his stuff is well made and last and most waders don’t. To be honest tho, I rarely wear my dri-core anymore, the new heavy Guy Gotten top is my preferred choice in colder water.
I have about 5 different tops. The New Heavy duty Guy Cotton is definitely one of my favorite for my 3 seasons tied with my Dryft wader top, long version which I also wear on rainy days going shopping. When it comes to real cold conditions I switch to the Stormr Neoprene surf top. Only downfall in my opinion about those type tops is that they don't breathe, so you sweat like your in a sauna (but you will be warm) and also will get heavy after it soaks up water. Let's not forget something really important. It will help you stay afloat if you get knocked off a rock. Hey not saying it will happen, just in case. I still like Stormer in the colder months due to its warmth. Now seeing Bill's Dri-Core which I remember him wearing on the colder months when he guides me. Wonder if that brand is still being made? Have to ask him. I love the way the Dri-Core covers the head better than my Stormr.
