Now all you need is the stage 3 hot cam. That and the big three that you just did is all that you will need. It's amazing with the stage 3 hot cam. It doesn't fall off on top and it revs to the moon like 450's
Now you got me wanting to upgrade mine and I didn’t even break it in yet I only have 10 more hours at less then 3/4 throttle and then oil change and it’s broken in I could full throttle

That's plenty! As Jacob said they have plenty of HP. 45hp to rear wheels stock/50 @crank. Gettin near 50 @rear wheels w/big3 is perfect + machine will last looong time esp w/oil changes under 15hrs. I don't have the big3 on my '21 & I'm happy. LOVE IT. Get an acerbis hr meter ($30 on Ebay). Run good full synthetic 10w40 at 1st oil change. #maxima
Monster exhaust is the loudest one I’ve heard in the Raptor and gives good hp gain, but if you’re looking for noise monster is balls loud haha sweet looking Raptor tho
@Brewer Offroad it is possible to adapt a raptor so that it has the same driving behavior as your yfz450 and by that I mean that it tips over less quickly and throws its butt more easily, so basically all the good things about a yfz450 but with the engine of a raptor because then you have to tinker less quickly, such as preventively replacing the piston, etc.
I agree Pete Hagers Raptor is set up nicely and is an animal. However the raptors power delivery doesn't match my riding style very well so I wasn't interested in investing that kind of money into making the raptor a better machine.

I know its not the best filter but I would've went with a different one if you're going to dyno tune it. One small change will throw off the mapping and would need a remapping/tuning. I was expecting at least 50. Regardless that thing is sick!
Just a wider rear end really changed the feel of it. Personally I don’t see a need to widen the front. I’m sure it would be an improvement as well but the rear end is where the problem is with the raptor.

Original inspiration video that lead to me going vortex as well. I cannot justify owning something fuel injected without being able to have full control over the fuel & timing maps. Will still need to acquire their "tuning kit" to get the USB cable / module to actually do that, but still.
Depends on the dyno setup. If dynos aren't set up properly they will read higher number than reality. Jay uses his dyno to dyno other dyno machines. Most of all HP numbers you hear are "inflated" by a faulty dyno set up
Hey got the same year, same color. Same pipe installed last week with the fci intake and PC6. Don't have access to a tuner locally unfortunately. I did the AIS delete, oil drain plug swap, hiper 3 beadlocks and GBC XC masters all corners.

I have a 2021 with a Yoshi stainless steel full pipe and power commander V with the tune selected for the exact exhaust and the pipe gets red like that. Customer support says that's the right tune as well. Maybe I need to get a custom tune. Am in Houston, it's hot and at sea level.
I love my raptor i took it spider lake mn an i kept up with 4x4s on pretty extreme terrain like rocky up hills an i was pretty impressed. Granted it did beat the crap out of me . It was about a 50 mile ride.

Get some port work done on the head. Something like an XC or trail port job. You won't regret it! I had a Bo White, username VelociRaptor on the forums, ported head on my 2006. Really woke it up.
How does the vortex work?? I’m running power commander v. I wonder do I keep that for fuel tuning and buy the vortex ecu? Or can they not be used together? Just wondering, mainly because that tune looked like it was all of the braaaaaaaap!!!!! Hahaha nice build
The vortex controls EVERYTHING no need for a piggyback fuel controller. Remove the stock ecu and install the vortex and then let the dyno guy custom tune it to your Quad and it'll be a monster! Clean, efficient, and safe power!

I don't know the raptor history perfectly but I know they made a Raptor with a Dual Ported Head. Mine is only single ported. I have heard the Dual Port is better for making BIG POWER! So Congrats!
So with just a yoshi slip on it would definitely need a tune? Guy at dealer when I got my 23 se said it would compensate for the slip on but that was it.
To my knowledge it will not compensate for any modifications. You'll need to get it tuned to know 100% that it's healthy and making the most power for your set up

@thirdeye6713 if it's glowing cherry red like that the tuning is off so it would need to be tuned first. But once the pipe gets hot and you slam water it produces alot of steam haha it has potential to Crack the header as well with the extreme temperature change. I've never had it happen personally

The pipe glow is a negative thing. Usually always a sign it is running way too lean which is super unhealthy but most machine the due big 3 are running lean until you go to a dyno guy

I just smashed my stock pipe on my 18 so I fell in the UA-cam rabbit hole of piping and tuning videos. I’m going to look into this tuner. I’m afraid of leaning out big time and would love the ability to add fuel.

HMF exhausts is quoting a good bit more power and torque on the Mustang dyno spec (46 ft-lb, 51 hp).

Just got a dual big gun exhaust KN filter, vented airbox lid like yours, going to get it dynoed next month at dynojet. Think im doing the PC5.
PC5 is the next best option compared to the vortex for sure but it does have a speed limiter in 5th gear

That is before tuning. It was too lean. That's not normal with a proper tune.

The tuner varies from $400-800 but the custom tune from Jay is $450 I believe
Is the R5 better than the monster exhaust system?
Just depends on preference both make good power I prefer the sound of the r5 but the monster is crazy loud!

I've never been much of a fan of Raptors growing up but once I got mine tuned properly I was in love with the power haha
@@BrewerOffroad I had an early 660 at one time and could agree those were poop. These later models are perfect for us big guys. I just smashed my stock pipe on my 18 so I fell in the UA-cam rabbit hole of piping and tuning videos. I’m going to look into this tuner. I’m afraid of leaning out big time and would love the ability to add fuel.

How is a k&n easier to clean then a uni? You can literally wash a uni by hand lol you can never get all the dirt out of the k&n
stock wheels are trash. (and the stock 2 ply tires). You got to get that giant parking break off the bars lol
