Is this the album with the appropriately(?) paired songs ""Whole Lotta Love" and "The Lemon Song"? No, now that I took the time to look, those are back-to-back on LZ 2; that album kicks-off with "Whole Lotta..." (foreplay) then followed by "TLS" (to climax).
@@paulkazakoff9231 you're right Paul, it was 16 Feb 72 at Subiaco oval, according to my big fat Led Zep book. Forgive me I'm approaching 81 years young, and my memory is a bit dim. I'm so glad that so many young people are keeping this music going. Keep on rocking mate. Hi from Australia.
@@justinthyme3396 Yes I still have a pretty good memory of that huge event and I always thought that their music would hang around many years into the future.Still lovin' it and great to see the younger generations pickin' up on them.Cheers Justin and all the best to you.
I am Thankful that you are Sharing this with US and Me! I am VERY Envious of you, being able to hear this for the First time!!! I would Trade in a Heartbeat!!!
Kel, I have been listening to Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page's solo since I was a kid, now I am 55 still listening these classics. I turn out fine!
I still believe this album that came in1969 Is a masterpiece I was 15yrs old it not only sent me down the rabbit hole of rock it also sent down the same hole of blues thank you Zeppelin.
This is wonderful!!! SOoooo happy for you, discovering this universally beautiful music! LedZeppelin is the greatest of all time. 4 musicians at the top of their respective positions, all in one band, delivered with unparalleled soul and passion. It's amazing that you're sharing this experience!
Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin... LEGEND.. bumped into him in person in 2016 doing his shopping at Sainsbury's lol... he is obsessed with music! 😂👍🏼😉 oh he SHOOK ME (my hand) 😉
I saw them in February 1972 in Edinburgh and they were poor. Such a disappointment. Their studio stuff is so much better than their live performances. Live, they often sound like a good tribute band.
Have to agree with this one. If I'm in a bar with a jukebox and I want to elevate the mood of the room a bit, this is my go-to. Folks who aren't deep into Zeppelin still recognize the sound and really light up. The hardcore ZepHeads hear it and are all like "Oh, hell yeah!" I've never had anyone get mad at me for playing it and once in while somebody bought me cocktail. Win/win, as some kids say. I like your channel.
It doesn't get much better than this folks. Real Blues from one of the greatest bands of all time. Robert Plant's vocals are epic. Jimmy Page's guitar is spot on and amazing. John Bonham's drums are something to behold. What else can I say? Love the distorted bass sound. It fits so well.
Hi Rich and hi to your beautiful wife Kel keep up the great work you guys rock. The combination between the four members is a gift from god to all us Zeppelin fans who believe Zeppelin is and always the greatest band ever. Zeppelin = 🐐 Goat
You are so right both of you. The only judgement you need to adhere to is your own. You both have good hearts, and need have no fear of anyone's opinions. Anyway, it's just a joy to see you both enjoying it. Makes me feel like I am back in the moment when I discovered all this for myself.
It's hard to wrap my head around people who haven't heard this music before, but I LOVE your honest reactions! And Zep has just about every kind of music you'd want to react to. Your scream at being denied this music is great! I know many who had "sheltered" upbringings. Luckily my parents were hippies! They introduced me to Zep, Jethro Tull, the Stones, etc... Thank you so much for your reactions!
I'm seeing the music from the other end of your perspective. I grew up with this music. And now I am appreciating the big band sound. So it so wonderful to see your reactions.
All 4 of these guys were masters of their art and that’s what Page was determined too do! Wow did he get it right! Page is a genius he formed a supergroup before there was such a thing! Great reaction!❤
You're right, this stuff is made to be listened to all together! Zep is all about that feel man, that vibe reaching deep into your bones. Kel, it's just 4 of the best musicians ever doing their thing. I heard all those rumors too, and it's just silliness and never stopped me :D
It brought tears to my eyes watching Kel go from the whats this mode into heavenly bliss. I'm a big Led Zeppelin fan. I had the honor of seeing them 4 times. It was 1970 in Montreal; I was 26 years old. In Vancouver in 1975 I saw them again 2 nights in a row. I saw them for the final time in 1977 in Seattle. Let me just say I have has some amazing experiences in my life. I have met and spent time with royalty. I shook hand with the Dalai Lama I have met big movie stars like Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper. I have seen many of my favorite bands like Pink Floyd...Moody Blues..T Rex..Aerosmith...Jerry Lee Lewis...Fats Domino The Bee Gees.. The Beach Boys and I got to know personally Elvis Costello and Diana Krall. These are just a few of my best BUT you know guys....topping that list has and always will be Led Zeppelin. There is nothing like having that experience. I'm now 76 years old and still rock out to my favorite band. Wish you all could have seen them. NOW if you want to be blown away in a different way I suggest you give someone you may never have heard of. His name is Dimash. I suggest you listen to SOS and then Opera2. FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS.
You got it right!!! It was all about the control over you they had. So glad you now have discovered LZ! The only sad part is the years missed that you could have been enjoying them. I like to throw on an LZ album on a Saturday afternoon, sit with a scotch and close my eyes and just get lost for an hour.
Kel....I grew up in a very strict Southern Baptist home....but...our parents never discouraged us from listening to music growing up. We had our portable transistor radios that we listened to in our bedrooms...and as we got older...we all had our own stereo systems... receiver's, turntable's, speaker's, headphones and albums of our favorite groups. Led Zeppelin was the coolest band out there in the late 1960's to mid 70's. I'm glad you're getting to listen to all the great music that your husband grew up listening to, like I did.
Fun fact: This was the only song on Zeppelin I not recorded with the Telecaster. Page has stated he used a Gibson Flying V that they were trying to sell to him to play this song. Said you could really hear the humbuckers overloading the amp during the solo. He said he "couldn't afford" the price for the guitar and he thinks it eventually wound up with Keith Richards.
kel: if you HAD listened to this music when you were younger, we wouldn't get to see your 1st-time reaction today. the novelty makes your reaction all the more genuine.
the most fantastic blues song ever recorded by four incredibles young white british boys ... just imbelievable ! zep is not just the best band ever ❤zep is the most quintessential best union of four magnificent musicians ... legendary and mythic band led by the iconic guitar player jimmy page . R.l.P Bonham
This is one of the songs I use to teach slide guitar with. I look back now and realize that if I had been able to play this song when I was in high school, I would’ve been a rock god at Fargo South High.
fun fact about how jimmy got that big sound on the first album: he used natural room reverberation --- by placing a mic in front of the speaker, and placing another mic at the other end of the room. when the 2 signals are mixed, you get the dry sound plus the echoes that bounce off the walls. this was how people used to record music when they wanted to include reverberation for a "live" sound.
Hi guy's just started following you for a couple day's and you are such a cute couple! Love Kel's reaction to the song's she hasn't heard before! I enjoy your blog keep it up! Btw I am 61 yo and Zepp is my favorite band and of course all the rock from the 60's to the 90's......Have a great day!
From Zep: Dazed and Confused, studio version and the amazing live performance of this song from Royal Albert Hall (1970). Love your reacts. Greetings from Brazil!
Being held back from music Became a blessing you see we get to see your reaction and remember ours, so things happen for reasons though you may not like it at the time but you gotta thank the past and let it go
Led Zeppelin 1 is the greatest debut album of all time in Rock n Roll history.
i think please please me is better or appetite for destruction
@@ProChinvo I agree. Zep 1 wasn't their best album.
This is seriously one of Page's best solos. It is searing, soaring and shredding all in one. Amazing.
This is one of their most underrated songs but also so many people's favorite.
Cant think of another blues cover better than this....just awesome.
So unique. Got a luv Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin is my all time favourite bands. So kel there's nothing to be ashamed of 😂
One of the best songs ever recorded!
one of my absolute favorite Zeppelin tracks. That guitar solo just rips.
A lot of virginity was lost to this album.
David Carter Kel looks at Rich like she just lost hers last night! And sometimes like she’s losing it right now!
A LOT of VD was passed around ALSO...Bummer.
If I could turn back the hands of time, I would!

I've listened to Led Zeppelin since high school, I am appreciating and marveling at their brilliance now more than ever. Thank you Kel and Rich.
That is a powerful song!
That harmonica segment, flowing right into Jimmy Page's masterful guitar segment gets me every time. Love Zeppelin, and love this album!

When the guitar comes in after the harmonica it makes my hair stand up! Full body Tingle's...
Kel definitely needed a room while listening to this. Which is a very good thing. So good to see someone reacting so naturally.
