    Despite the cringy highlight, his other channel frdaily is informative, it avoids clickbait, and yet it’s short and concise and honestly if you want to stay informed on the wide world of motorsport across all it’s disciplines but only have 5 minutes every day it’s the best I have found.

    One couldnt do jumps like today with Lancia 037, 80,s suspension and chassis tech wasnt good enough. Henkka Toivonen jumped his 037 at 1000 Lakes , it wasnt high but a long one . He almost fractured his back on a landing .

    Great video again, lots of on-point information. I wondered if can recognize all the jumps but all are pretty famous so no problems here. Plus the music from official WRC rally highlights back in late 2000's, neat.
    Although I feel you left one of those most famous behind, namely the Panzerllatte jump from Rallye Deutschland. Not many tarmac rallies have jumps and for sure not that spectacular.
    There was also onein Tour de Corse but can't remember the stage, it was in the middle of fastright to left section and cars usually landed roght-front wheel first and immediately snapped direction to fit into the curve.
    On a side note, you have made videos about Škoda and Seat in much detail, with background of development and success in A5 and A7 class respectively, which pushed those manufacturers to commit to full scale WRC programs. There js one more such manucacturer that absolutely should be covered by your execution. Manufacturer that dominated FWD series and underwent thesame development path as the ones mentioned.
    Suzuki.
    Starting with Ignis S1600 they had little success beforethey switched from 3-door body to 5-door body. And that longer Ignis with lower CoG was a blast, as well as the drivers lineup. When Ignis era was over time came fo the new Swift S1600. And it was even better, obliterating its competition on stages. As a natural consequence a WRC car has enetered developmet stage at Suzuki.
    SX4 WRC.
    And the history has repeated itself for the third time. All of which should be narrated by you, because who else?

    at 3:00 - its ruuhimäki stage, 10km from my home. originally there was no big jump at the finish.. but actually when you see tailstrikes it is due to driver's fault, not downforce, its because they keep the the throttle wide open, also when they land on nose, its because they brake too much at the jump. correct way is to slightly brake before jump and then keep on throttle.

    • @FailedRacers
      @FailedRacers  Місяць тому

      Yep, that too, it's a bit of both. For example, the Toyotas used to always jump nose down until they made a rear wing change, so the different cars have different jump characteristics, but also the driver has a big influence on it too.

    if you think that it's up to luck whether you go nose down off the jump you are incorrect, that happens if you brake last second before the jump and shift the weight of the car to the front, you have to stay in the throttle when you hit the jump even if you're lifting before it

    • @FailedRacers
      @FailedRacers  Місяць тому

      I'm not sure which part of the video implied that it's luck. It's all to do with driver inputs and aero balance. The newer cars are more aero dependent so they will change pitch midair towards the end of the car with more downforce. There's no "luck" in physics.

    Before Bunnings was a warehouse, it was a rather small hardware store that sold a lot of wood harvested from its own plantations and processed in its own timber mills.
    Public opinion was not in support of logging so Bunnings parent company, Wesfarmers, moved the plantations and mills to a new company, Sotico, so Bunnings would be free to expand into what it is today.
