@@DeMarcusPaul wtf DeMarcus i needed you to make this video like 5 years ago dude! Seriously though good job on this video it's probably the best how to bar video on UA-cam which says a lot. A lot of how to's are pretty half assed but I could tell you were actually putting a lot of effort into this.
3 years later and this is the best how to bar spin video I seen yet!!!! I love how deMarcus breaks it down so simple! As usual great job Our Bmx, and thank you!
Of all the how to barspins I've watched and watched trying to learn this damn trick, this one was the most informative I've seen. Everyone just does them over and over again perfect with a 3 and a half foot hop and I couldn't do it. This looks like how I look when I try them. Especially the half bars, and the fear of falling is spot on. Thanks guys 🤜🤘
Jeremy McClure hey man thank you so much for your feedback. It’s super motivating to do more how-to videos. Keep at it and don’t give up. You’ll get it!
@@Paul-yt7bn I definitely jammed a lot of fingers in the process of learning to catch them properly. After you learn to catch both hands while still in the air they shouldn't hurt at all.
Looks like I'm spending the rest of this social distancing thing working on learning barspins lol...best vid I've seen so far, super clear and easy to understand
That was the best how-to video I’ve ever seen. Seriously! I’ve never seen anyone that can do the trick so effortlessly just make it look like the first time he’s ever thrown it and how it looks like to progress in the trick.
I love this dude, he just seems like the most chill guy ever. Award winning smile my brother. Keep it up man. And keep this awesome shit coming guys!!! Our bmx for life, for sure. I'm 35 this year, was a ride/snap, bmx plus subscriber since like 97/98ish. Man i miss real magazines, I've got stacks of em. These younger dudes just don't understand... Oh the anticipation, monthly bliss.
@@DeMarcusPaul the fact that you respond to these comments only solidifies my stance on you being an awesome dude. Hope i get to shred with ya some day bro.
This is literally my favorite video,I been so scared to throw them ,but this is the best advice yet ,I just am so not committed to throwing them seeing Nathen Williams I just wanna learn how to bar so scary but so fun
Demarcus needs to get his channel poppin already lol!! Thanks for those struggle bars, sure that's what mine will look like soon. Only been riding for a month.
Landed my first bar today! 👌🏾Love that you covered the falling/missing on the grass... Helped get over the fear and I got the bar on my 7th attempt 😜 followed with the 8th too! Awesome tutorial 💪🏽
I'm 34 and havent rode in like 15 years. Bar spins were always my favorite trick I never learned in any consistent way. Trying them today and I can't get them to spin more than half way for some reason I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong cuz I can whip pull up bars no problem. Only been back riding like a week so maybe my hop isn't solid enough. Fell back and smashed my elbow today. Feels a lot worse than when I was 17 lol
I've known how to throw barspin for a while I taught myself but I'm barely starting to learn how to catch them before I land and this video helped alot
i was doing switch barspins thinking it was regular for over 15 years before i realized. talk about your foot forward and spin direction cuz i struggled with bars for no reason haha.
djSpinege I’m switch foot rider so this is my life struggle. Bars the other way feels weird and riding with my feet the other way also feels weird. I can’t win 😩 haha. Never learnt them cause of this!
hi ! I got problems with the bus/ barspin, I can bunny up pretty high, I can do the bar rotation, but I cannot do both on same time ! need advice plz !! Thx, love from france!
I learned on the ground, for me the hardest thing is catch the bar in the air, after the bike hit the ground. I don't catch the bar in the air yet, but after the quarentine I will train a lot
Antonio Pereira typically in the center of the bars but it really is a blur when you get them. Just focus on getting comfortable throwing them then focus on landing them then focus on where to look... I hope this helps
Hey thanks for posting this video im also like a very little rider i started but i have a good amount of progress and since were on lockdown over here in arizona i definitely am going to try this trick like ong this video gave me a lot of motivation,he showed the difficulty and the outcome of beating the fear, well anyways thank you so much for this vid ill most definitely post a clip on my insta once i land it,Thanks😁🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What helped the last words. How I learned is set a goal to try it everyday for 3 hours non stop and landed it in a month when discipline came into the picture.
I noticed in the clips at the end, that after he lowered his seat, he doesn't really knee pinch. He would only have the seat resting against his right knee. (Front foot knee)
i want someone to explain to me why my foot always comes up off the pedal, i can do bars im pretty damn good at them, but theyre lowkey unstable because my front foot lifts up a lot.
Rewatch the video where demo talks about raising your seat; he says your foot will want to come off until you get them down. So try raising your seat a few inches. 🙌 good luck
7:00 - so 100,000 barspins. Lets say he has been throwing bars for the last 20 years, then that is 5000 bars a year, or over 13 barspins a day! idk... if he's only been doing them for 10 years, then its over 26 bars a day.
„Probably 100k“ if you do the math: let‘s say he threw 20 bars every day over the last 20 years = 146k. So yeah, I think his guess isn‘t too far off hahaha

Is it normal, that at the beginning, your hands hurt when you catch the bars?
