      Jessica Tackett after i learned a trick for bunny hopping up a curb i can now do it up foot high boxes. They only thing i can say for advice is do a small manual up to it and get your front wheel over the curb then do a late bunny hop before you back tire touches the curb. it takes way less energy then really trying to muscle your way through it

    • @jeffyjeffy1307
      @jeffyjeffy1307 5 років тому +15

      The weight doesn’t matter much it’s the technique first pull you front wheel by putting your chest next to the bar pull your arms and chest at the same time almost and then meer cat pull the bars to your stomach almost then push on the pedal like a jumping motion then scoop the pedals with your toes then shift you weight forward then boom a decent bunny hop

    Another method that I used and helped me so much while learning to hop higher is lowering your rear tire pressure. it acts almost like a spring and once you get it down go back to whatever you were at before and it really helps. ( I went from 80 to 40 )

    Great video man. This is the most useful tutorial I've watched so far. I'm trying to bunny hop on a 26'' bike, no suspension etc, and it's probably harder to do than on a bmx, but so far I've tried all day just to lift my front and back wheel up separately, and what I found out on my own is the same what you said about pushing down into the bike is what gives you the momentum to go up. And I wasn't really sure if I'm doin it right, cos in all the other tutorials I've watched they said you needed to move your weight back in order to lift the front wheel. So... I really find your how to-s very very helpful , thanks

    • @thomasjtn4232
      @thomasjtn4232 8 років тому

      those bikes are harder because they are longer so you need more strength and momentum to get them up. like its easier on a shorter frame and the wheel dimensions also make the bike longer. I can bunny hop my mountain bike but I can bunny hop my old 20 inch fit bike like 10x higher

      Actioni contrariam semper et æqualem esse reactionem: sive corporum duorum actiones in se mutuo semper esse æquales et in partes contrarias dirigi. As Newton wrote it in 1687 . However, after 1820 or so we tend to learn the 3rd law from the work of secondary texts more so than the work of Newton himself as latin and the use of fluxions and fluents is not widely understood anymore.

      Go a little faster, and don't stop turning your head. What I did was, I would ride towards something like a tree, for example, and then I would go to do a 3 and I would turn my head until I saw the tree. That's a good way to try to learn it. It's just all about keeping your head turned. Check out our channel! We were actually considering making a few new how to's so maybe we will make one on hop 3s.

    How high should a bunny hop be to barspin. I know it can be done low but should you try to go as high as possible? Or find like a middle ground?

    • @JB-ns6ek
      @JB-ns6ek 8 років тому

      Billy Celli it kind of just depends on your barspins. If you're trying them flat and that's how you want to learn them, then hop as high as you can before you need to tuck, so don't tuck as if you were going to hop over something, but yank up and stay in a pro-hop position with your knees straight. That will give you the longest time to spin your bars around with as much time as you want.

So my friend has a stock Sunday bike that is at least 3 pounds heavier than mine with same size bars and I can hop bout 20 inches high on his... Lol not that high but the point is I can hop way higher on his than mine but idk what to buy to be able to hop as high. Any tips? And I already watched this vid a long time ago but I'm just recapin' 👍🏼 it helped a lot
