I have done this almost once a week since watching this video. Super great and easy. Also I tried your air fryer pork chops this past week and it was just as great. Thanks for teaching us how to enjoy great food at home.
I am fourth generation beef cattle farmer, and will be trying this. I can’t get my mom to try anything new, but I will not tell my parents till after they eat it. Please more air fryer recipes. Thanks for sharing.
I do the same thing with my parents. They are so stubborn and unwilling to try anything new. Anytime I have gotten them to try something new without telling them certain info they have enjoyed every time. Always makes me laugh 😂
I am the EU restaurant area manager for an international hotel and restaurant chain and historically Michelin Star head chef of various UK venues. My speciality has always been meats and shellfish. Steak should always be rested in tin foil and not in the open air as in this video. Resting in open air results in reconstitution of fibres which can result in parts of the steak, specially next to fat, become dry and tough even after cooking to rare. In the US it ic quite common for people even great chefs to rest meat in open air but the new upcoming Michelin chefs are all now resting in tin foil or muslin. The foil helps keep in some of the meat's natural juices, ensuring the end result is tender and moist. Also for the best flavour, always rest in tin foil specially if you are adding infusions, or seasonings during the wrap, it can help deepen the flavours giving more intense sensation on the tastebuds, as the meat is essentially braising in its juices and any added elements.
A guideline I came across for medium rare is 10 minutes total per inch of thickness of the steak, flipping it halfway through the cooking process. I've had good results with a generous application of salt, pepper, and Montreal steak seasoning. As illustrated, I wouldn't even consider a steak less than an inch thick.
Watched 2x. 1st time to see how to cook a steak in the air fryer. 2nd time to read the comments. I love their response❤😂. Well done (was that a steak pun🤔🤷🏿♀️)
Looks wonderful. Great butter recipe. I just bought my Tefal Easy Fry & Grill 2 in 1 air fryer with grill. I plan on grilling my burgers & steaks in my new air fryer so I won’t get grease splatter all over the range and set off the smoke detector. Can’t wait.

Hi! Followed your recipe for New York Strip steaks. Delicious. We just added the air fryer to our cooking and we are hooked on cooking steaks this way. Thank you. 😊
I just recently got a Sous Vide machine, it's the absolutely only way to cook a steak after having it that way!!! This is very interesting thou that you can cook a steak in a air fryer.
You should try resting in the fridge, covered in salt for the night, (24 h) take it it out and dab it dry, add peper and garlick powder, and just continue, as you did. :-)
no :) Nobody do this as the fibrous membranes in the steak will lose the essential bonding that helps retain moisture,, essential through the steak while cooking.
Dont let the sweet voice fool you. If you go to that house for a few drinks you know you're going to have a great time and end up being carried out on a stretcher.

The thing that I will never understand is why so many of these UA-cam cooks put their seasoning in a small bowl and then into bigger bowl that is so any bowls to wash. I understand you’re measuring things I just pour it into the big and eyeball the measurements.the only thing I measure when prepare a meal is when I cook rice.
Two reasons:first, it's considered good practice for chefs when cooking professionally to have their mis en place, meaning everything already prepped. The second reason is a combination of copyright and trademark issues with brand names as well as free advertising. Believe it or not, there are brands out there that don't view their product being in a video as being free advertising and instead pursue copyright and trademark infringement. I know you said you'd never understand, but hopefully this helps.
If you have a grill or can proficiently use a skillet a high heat, please don't make a steak in an airfryer, I would say this recipe is best for people looking for a quick meal or who can't cook or have access to a grill. While you can cook a steak in an airfryer it will only ever be decent hence why you have to use a butter spread, this is the same as oven baking a steak.
If people want to cook a steak in an air fryer (which they do) we’d rather give them the best recipe and method possible rather than judge their choice and give them a lecture. You should consider doing that as well.
@@arthurfonzarelli9828 I haven't met one person who thinks like that lol; Besides for convenience-sake, everyone always prefers the steaks that are cooked properly. Meat that needs specific temperatures like Steak do not do well in any type of fryer, because of lack of control. The airfryer is less precise then you think, more about saving time.
