Please watch the whole video if you can! See what happens at the end, and my final thoughts on wheee I stand on this controversial topic ❤️🙌 happy Sunday!
I hate how people can’t “teach” or share knowledge without being assholes about it, Kristen you are amazing these jerks that just assume and come at you instead of trying to help or just say hey this is what I learned! There are so many judgmental asshats in the world and they all need to take a hike! I love how you teach and are very open to information as long as it’s given in the right context❤️
Just finished watching and this is why I love you so much ❤️ are know that you are human and make mistakes and learn Kristen you rock💕 also thank you so much for sharing you babies exploring time omg so much fun❤️
Love your channel! I’m a newer reptile owner too and it’s all about researching and understanding that information changes so you just change with it. It’s about the animals keep not peoples pride ❤️ 2 things: That terrarium is insane! Who makes it? I’ve never seen anyone put the probe under the heat mat? If it’s under, then it’s not measuring the actual temperature that the geckos are receiving on top of the carpet.
Thanks for the shout out and looking into this subject. A few years it was commonly accepted that females can live together but I think over time people realised that the bond last forever, and it doesn't always work out. Your geckos look healthy and they have lovely large tanks, so I am sure they'll do really well :)
I have had my two females together for over two years and have never had a problem, but I still really enjoyed this video and how you took criticism and researched it yourself.
@@PrincestonTheFrenchBulldog Male and females should NEVER be in pairs and living together. Unless closely monitored while *breeding* The male WILL breed the female to death and they will fight. I really suggest separating them ASAP!
Kay Sheridan that’s why mine have been with each other for years. There happy healthy. People who see them say there huge and beautiful giant tails so don’t tell me there in danger and unhappy.
@@PrincestonTheFrenchBulldog It doesn't matter whether they've been with each other for years. Males and females should NEVER be housed together for the reasons I just explained. The male will breed your female to death and I'm sure they aren't too happy having to tolerate in each other every single second in an enclosed area, when they're solitary animals and do best alone.
I remember reading somewhere that when they cuddle, they’re actually trying to fight for heat and the best hiding spaces. The female Leo I just adopted about 2 weeks ago was housed with another female Leo and mine had cuts and bites all over her so I’d never want to house her with anyone else again.
Angie Perez I didn’t mean literally cuddling. They lay next to one another. My heat pad is GIANT. I think probably like 15-18 leopard geckos could fit on it. So I don’t think that was the case here. But very interesting! Have never read that. 😊
@@joshrod2941 Yeah, it's a little bit of both. The gecko on top is dominant and the one on the bottom is submissive. The dominant gecko is the one that takes a lot of the resources from the submissive gecko.
I love how much you truly care about your animals. It’s unfortunate people are so quick to be hostile instead of educating/helping. It’s apparent your genuine care and love for all species. I’ve binge watched your animal channel and seeing you get these animals out of HORRIBLE situations has my heart so full. Even animals you know nothing about and are so willing to dive head first and dedicate so much time and money. I applaud you, youre amazing 💕
Talena Baker thank you so much. Your comment just made me tear up. (I am on my period lol) but I really do love animals so much and do what I can. I appreciate your support and your kind words. They mean more than you probably know! 🙏❤️
Your heat mats should ALWAYS be outside of the tank love. If there’s a malfunction with your thermostat your animal can get burned badly. Depending on the animal they can also get under there and move the probe causing it to overheat. I run a BP rescue and we just lost a beautiful baby girl to a horrible burn. Please put your mats under the tank. You’ll have to turn your thermostat up higher to compensate. Love your videos!
I had a pair of leopard geckos (male and female) live in a 40/60gallon long together for 3/4 years they’ had 3 hides, separate “breaks” out of their enclosure, and were tong fed so there was never any food shortages. I tried to separate them for a month because i was told i had to but they quickly became stressed when apart so 🤷♀️ I personally never had any issues but everybody has their own thoughts and should care for the animals in front of them
Hi, so I don’t know what the instructions say for that heat mat. But usually they need to be placed under the tank. They have a paper over the adhesive tape that you stick on the bottom. Then you stick the probe on the inside over it. I’ve never heard of them being kept on the inside. Just wanting to point that out so you could look into it. 😊
I use the ones she does (meant for plants) with the Thermostat attached. They do not have an adhesive and sometimes with non-standard tanks (wooden or other "unconventional" tanks) the heat won't properly heat up the enclosure while on the bottom.
Ball pythons do good in large enclosures, you just need enough hiding spaces and foliage to let it feel safe. My boy has a pretty large cage(but I wanna get a bigger one) and he uses every bit of it.
Thank you for seperating. I lost one of my female leopard geckos 12 years ago to a sibling attack, after she got what I now believe was stick tail or another wasting disease, and despite me attempting to treat whatever condition she had with vet visits and food supplementation, it seems her sister who had been with my sick girl her whole life decided from her own instincts that something was wrong, and attacked her one night- she died the next day. It was very hard to love my surviving leo after what she did, but she is still with me today.
Hi, I love your channel! I highly recommend putting the thermostat probe on top of the substrate mat so you can know the exact temperature that the gecko feels, not just the temperature under the mat :)
I love your channel more and more every minute I watch. The immense of time and money you put into proper care just shows how much you love doing what you do. Xoxo
Love animal queen who can take advice without getting defensive or offended and change things for the better and learn from it! People should really look up to you! It is obvious that you love and care for ever single of your animals and like you said we are all people we make mistakes. Love you!! And love all the videos coming our way!
I wasn’t able to find a definitive answer in this when I was researching but my experience as a vet tech did. We saw an overwhelming number of people who would come in with geckos who did not survive their fight injuries from their tank mates that they had been with for years with no issue broke our hearts. One fight while you’re asleep could be devastating so in my opinion it’s just not worth it.
She uses plant heat mats instead of the reptile ones and since she is also using a rug the amount of heat through the glass and rug would be enough so inside under the rug is the way to get optimal heating
Yasss, another animal video! I’m only a dog mom but I just love these animal videos! So educating and fascinating to me 💕 So since you decided to house them separately now, will you be letting them hang out together(supervised obvi.) outside of their enclosures since they did enjoy each other before?
200% correct! I rescued two female and they are in a 40 gal terrarium with mutiple hides and followed labored gecko pros guidelines. Your content is of my favs to view as i care for my critters. Your vedio are the best!
You have one of the best attitudes towards pet care and criticism I have seen on UA-cam. Husbandry is always evolving as we learn more about the animals we keep and it should be an open dialogue.
I currently have 2 leopard geckos together and they are fine with each other but their very different sizes they were the same sized when I got them (from different places) but my one is very small in general compared to my other female I want to split them up really bad but I’m convincing my mom to let me get a cage
My two female leopard geckos live together since I got them and I tried to separate them but they would get stressed out and wouldn't eat . I always monitor them and they don't fight they even sleep and cuddle together. They both are healthy and beautiful.
From personal experience- I will never house female leopard geckos together ever again. I had been keeping two together for 3 years, because they came to me that way, and they were in a long 40 gallon tank. They were always fine together till one day, my ever so slightly larger one attacked my other. It seemed completely unprovoked as they’d been together for years. My SLIGHTLY smaller leo lost a toes and had some pretty awful injuries to her leg. I personally think that even if it does work for a while, it’s a recipe for disaster. It’s also problematic in my eyes to say in some circumstances they can be housed together. A lot of the people get Leo’s at chain pet stores and not every employee will know how to properly check gender, and all it takes is one slip up and you end up with a male and female or male and male. It’s almost just easier to say “they’re solitary and must never be together.” thank you for looking for opinions from other keepers and for housing them separately!
I really respect you for doing this video! So many interneters think they are experts and/or have a micro second of experience and think they know it all...you actually thought about things, reflected, researched, and changed for the better..with no ego! Awesome! Love you geckos and vids!
I love that you're experimenting like this and taking people's concerns into consideration! I can't remember where I read it so I don't want to say it's a fact but I remember reading that the "cuddling" behavior could actually be a dominance thing, but again I'm not sure the source on that so it could be false. As for the eco earth thing, I use eco earth in the humid hide for my gecko and she loves digging in there. I think it's especially beneficial to females since they sometimes can lay infertile eggs during spring so having a place they know they can dig and lay in I think is good for them and may make it less likely for them to struggle with laying. Either way my girl does enjoy digging so I gave her that option but the rest of the enclosure is tile.
GoHerping made a great UA-cam video mentioning everything you said. You’re a great animal keeper don’t question or second guess yourself!! You did the perfect job monitoring your female leopard geckos and if they do get along I don’t see a reason why you’d really have to house them separately unless you’d really like to see if they’d thrive alone.
Been loving all your videos I have 4 reptiles and I've actually learned quite a bit more from watching you! I have 2 female leopard geckos and we had them together when they were young but once they got a little bigger they started fighting so we had to separate them and they couldn't be happier 😊
I also want to point out that I love the concept of this video. You’re listening to your audience, using your own knowledge and continuously learning (as humans we aren’t perfect), and I love that your taking the time and your resources to do an experiment which is the only true way to see how your two geckos will flourish! You are super responsible and I admire that!
Thank you for being so kind and receptive to peoples concerns! I wont keep leos together again since my two females were raised together from hatchlings and suddenly started attacking each other relentlessly after almost 10 years of living together. They stressed each other out to the point of them not eating and left bite marks all along the sides of each others heads.
I just watched for the Leopard Gecko and I gotta say #worthit!! She's got a pretty nice set up now, if I was a Leopard Gecko I would be very happy in that enclosure. I also respect the fact that you read all your comments and respond in some way, and I love that you took advice from your followers. You don't see that very much these days.
Love people that can take constructive criticism and understand that it was out of love. I’ve had it many times with my aquariums and thanks to people’s advice and criticisms I now have a wonderful environment for my fish! You go girl. New subscriber 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Just came across your channel and so far I’m absolutely in love! I currently have a beardie and want several other reptiles and I love how informative your channel is!
You’re amazing for what you do for all your animals. I hope people do watch the WHOLE video before they start spewing their opinions at you. I hope they continue to thrive in these enclosures ❤️
I've had 3 females and 1 male living together in a 40 breeder for 5 years with no issues.. they all hang out together and lay on top of each other under the ceramic heat lamp. I have at least three hides per gecko on warm side and cool side of tank but they all enjoy each other. I also have a uvb light on for half an hour each evening.
I have been binge watching u the past week and I’m absolutely in love with u and all of your animals! It’s comforting to see that u put ur animals first, and give them the best care they can get, even though we all make mistakes! Credit to u for not being offended by people questioning your techniques and taking the time to do the research to figure this out! Looking forward to seeing more videos showing your beautiful animals!!❤️
I’m very glad you separated them! I just care about leopard geckos so much, and my leo right now is a rescue, so I always try to educate others, or tell others on what they might be doing wrong. Thank you, Kristen! ❤️
I have 2 females together, they are sisters and have been together their whole life they are about 3 yrs old. They don't fight or anything they get along well
I’m just here to say you are an amazing animal momma! You care for your non human family members better than some do for their actual children. You do SOOOO much research on each animal and go above and beyond to give them the best and most comfortable life, boarding on luxurious life! Props to you for always putting their needs and wants so high!
Must be difficult at times to have your pet care so public. Does allow for improvements however. I truly appreciate how kind you are to your followers and your animals
Props to you!! You handle this like a pro. Always love your vids. Your such a amazing animal mama. People be more like her when it comes to animals and dealing with issues like this. You didn’t blow up nor show any sign of being pissed you truly too peoples comments into consideration and you want nothing but what is best for all of your babies! Can deff see all the love and care plus time you put into each and every baby of yours!! SML can’t wait till next vid!!! 👏🤩🙃🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Absolutely in love with you and your channel and adore how much you genuinely care for all of your animals. My ultimate goal is to be able to rescue and rehabilitate animals when I’m more set up and have the necessary funds, and your videos inspire me to want to do it even more! Side note - I’m really curious as to the size and branding of that viv that you put June in as I’ve been wanting to get a 4x2x2 terrarium for my girl but for some reason I can’t seem to find any! If anyone on here happens to know which terrarium this is I’d be very appreciative!!
This is so so awesome. I had no idea they could not be housed together. Leopard gecko does have awesome advice and wisdom. Sorry for anyone being rude. The pet community gets INTENSE sometimes but please never let that make you even consider to stop posting! Your videos are amazing and goals!!
Wonderful video. I have two geckos, one likes to dig and the other doesn't. I tried giving them both a moist hide with paper towels or eco earth at different points. But one refuses to use the moist hide with eco earth to shed in. I find leopard gecko's ability to have so many individual preferences on so many things really charming.
I took in my brothers geckos. I have three females together. One is blind and was his first gecko. The other two are sisters and they love each other and cuddle. They are in a 80 gal tank. with 5 hides. Which I plan on getting more but I have never had a problem.
So glad you’ve decide to separate them! I knew subscribing to you wouldn’t be a mistake as you seemed like a very kind and open minded person in the one video I watched of you feeding all of your pets. I absolutely adore the fact you’re able to take constructive criticism and advice and grow from it. Everyone makes mistakes and it’s okay to do so if you’re able to recognize and fix whatever it may have been that you’d done. So so happy for your Leo’s and I can’t wait to see more videos in the future!❤️
You could probably be okay with them together, but good for you for being safe! They will be fine alone, and you won’t have to closely monitor them...just enjoy them!
Awesome vid! It’s so nice to see someone take constructive criticism and try new things out regardless of their opinion, it really shows how much you love your animals! The comments on your recent videos have been really mean and just putting you down instead of giving you their opinion with info to back it up. Much love 🖤
Omg I love how 5 min in you can see alittle head pop up in the terrarium behind you, the fact that you are all about CC and not all about thinking you know better love you Kristen
😆 so cute. She was exploring like crazy last night!! Thanks 🙏 I really don’t know better than most other people into animals. I’m just like everyone else. I just have a UA-cam channel 🤷♀️ I just try to do my best!
Kristenleannimal you really are awesome btw she is so dang cute I have been following you for a long time and really love all your videos beauty and animal
Don’t know if you came across this research but dig boxes(aka your bowl of dirt) are becoming pretty popular for those that don’t use loose substrate, especially for female leopard geckos. Not only do they enjoy digging, but females will not lay their eggs without somewhere to bury them. As they can produce eggs without a male, people are beginning to give them a dig or lay box as a precaution. They can reabsorb their eggs but if they don’t and have no where to lay they can become egg bound and die. Just something you may want to look into, even if your girls don’t seem to enjoy their large dig box, a small tupper ware container with eco earth is sufficient 😊 proud of you for being willing to share your experience with other being willing to change for the health of your animals.
I see you saw our comments! ❤️ I was trying to talk to people who were freaking out yesterday and were uneducated. I appreciate you sharing the information that we found to be true as well. I have that exact same book and I also watch leopard gecko on UA-cam. Even though we’re all human and even she gets information wrong sometimes. But I am happy you fact check with multiple websites and shared this information. You’ll have to keep us posted on what you find especially about the digging in moss or eco earth. I wanted to do it after her video on UA-cam! Also I’ve been curious if using that kind of bedding rips her nails out? I hope it’s not a silly question just was curious because it’s kinda cool. Lastly I love your new tank. I’d set your thermostat to 90 if it isn’t already. They like their belly heat up to 94 degrees so gives you some wiggle room. Side note every LEO I’ve had lives climbing up! It’s so cool and fun to see. Some climb to the very top of their tanks. I see we both have the same hammock you could try moving it up higher and even using the cork bark or something as a bridge to get up there. They enjoy climbing more then walking on the ground. Which is why rock backgrounds work so well for them. Here’s three hide my leopard geckos use every single night that they climb up and down on! Ugh wish I could send pictures. (I have no affliction with these companies just great products.) (Moss house my Leo does “yoga” on the top handle and will sleep on here and climb up and down for many hours every night.) petsonbroadway.com/collections/bird-supplies/products/green-moss-bird-bungalow-hanging-house-habitat-addition (I would get the large one. It allows complete darkness and no light which is important: Also I put moss in there and it works as their wet hide and they can sleep on top for more heat or on the bottom for less. I have three of these in my tank and my two geckos are in them 80 percent of the time. Especially since the rock retains hear from the day and they can get belly heat and over all heat. Not to mention have perfect sheds since you need a shed box.) Exo Terra Reptile Den, Medium www.amazon.com/dp/B0002AR5BU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lu7ZCb2B40R04 (Lastly this will help you fill in some of that climbing tank space area and the suction cups on this thing is crazy! My leopard geckos climb on and down on this thing and sleep in it. You can put moss in there and away you go.) etsy.me/2Jcw2o0
Ok yes I'm a newbie.iv watched alot of your videos in a short period of time.very addictive iv rescued 2 female lepard gecko and they was quite skinny they cum to in the same viv.i got them back to health.and saw they cor be house today.i separated them like the video said and BOTH stopped eating 1because now it's in a really big viv and the other would not relax and constantly on each.so I put them back together and they started eating and back to regain. Morel to the story it works it don't work shud and shudnt. This woman takes her time energy money and can tell her world is her pets and she adors.so don't lesson to anyone U NO what makes ur animals happy.i onist think if I left mine in to tanks the one that was in a different tank wouldn't be hear now.keep up with the fantastic work ur doing wish there was more people like u In world.❤❤❤❤❤❤ this channel
I love that you were willing to look into it and change your mind. This is awesome! Know better, do better! We all make mistakes sometimes with our pets! They're such cute little geckos!
"Hey guys. It's me again, Kristen, from yesterday."... that gave me giggles. It can be so difficult because so many sites give such different info. I wanted to know everything I could before getting my leos and had to take so much extra time to decipher who was actually giving the correct info. I have a girl and a boy, both about 1 1/2 yrs old. They each live in their own 55 gallon and then I made a huge enclosed "play area" on the floor in their room. They both know to come to a certain spot in their tank if they want to come out to play that night... it's adorable. My boy comes out every night to play and my girl every 2-3 days. Her breeder had her housed with a male and she's been laying fertile eggs so she's not always in the mood for hanging with the lil man.
When I went to school, it was a school specifically where you studied about animals and we had a lot of animals there. And there was a huge tank with 3 female geckos in it. And they were very healthy and happy. I didn’t study much about reptiles myself but that was what I could see for myself😊
When my dad was breeding leopard geckos we kept the hatched babies (they were all female) in one enclosure for a while and eventually as they got older, they'd started getting fussy with each other. So yes you can keep them together as babies with no issues, but once they start fighting over food/space, it's best to move them to their own space. We kept the babies in a 10g space until they got big enough to have their own space
I have 3 leopard geckos, all female, kept together. The first two we bought together and had always been housed together and I wasn't going to separate them, because they had grown up together. Then I accidentally adopted a little baby, and I was really worried about whether or not they would get along until I could get her her own tank. Literally a day later, they were all snuggling together and her and one of my older geckos are basically attached at the hip so I didn't separate them. I did introduce them initially, and things went well. I think it just depends on the temperament of your individual geckos. The three of them love each other a lot, and they get really depressed when one of them isn't in the tank with them (i.e. playtime)
So much respect for Kristen and how she does everything she possibly can for these animals. Saving and adopting animals is hard and you never quite know what you're getting into, but Kristen does all the research and work to give these animals their best lives! ❤
It would be really cool to put a divider down the center of that and put substrate on one side and the other side would just be reptile carpet. That would help a little with humidity and you would be able to feed them in their enclosure without having to worry about them ingesting it.
love all your videos! and im glad you decided on housing seperately, and how youre actually willing to take advice! i thought i might point out that looking into placement of heat pads and thermostat probes might be something else to do a little extra research on ? also Emma sampson on youtube has some great videos on leopard gecko setups ! worth checking out her channel!
My leopard geckos have lived together their whole life. I think they are 5 years old and I assume two females. The spent the first 3 years of their life’s in my school in a really small tank. Then my science teacher decided that the school can’t take care of the animals how they needed to be taken care of. So they gave the Leo’s to my sisters best friend and she took care of them for 2 years. Unfortunately she doesn’t have time because she will be working full time and going into college so she asked me if I wanted to take care of them. I accepted and spent 2 months of researching about them then I took them less then a week ago. I was glad to see she tripled the tank size, gave them 4 different floors the could adventure between and had plenty of hides.
Hi Kristen I have a ?...What size tank I bvb that behind you in this video? I am looking to purchase a new tank for my BD and I want a nice 1....thank you and love you video's!!!!!🥰
There is a way to keep two females together if you have space & separate everything (hides water food etc) but if you start to see one female in a hide & the other one in the open or them sleep on top of one another (people call it cuddling) but it's being dominate not cute or cuddling. But yes it can work mostly.
I don’t keep geckers, but I have heard from people who do that they’ve had females get along for years and then suddenly become aggressive and injure each other.
I don't know if you meant to say geckers or not but I LOVE THAT! I call mine lil' geckers all the time and my niece's 2 year old says geico instead of gecko, haha.
They show signs of it before. It's not a sudden change at all if you know your animals behavior. There is also a stresser that causes it such as too little of a resource and the need to compete arises.
@@lunadarlingz4549 you are completely wrong. Even if the geckos get along great and you don't notice anything wrong they can randomly attack the other. This has happened so many times. They are solitary animals and should not be housed together.
I know this is such an old video but I wanted to say that I solved the problem of feeding leos in their enclosure with eco earth by adding a piece of slate that covers 1/3 - 1/2 of the enclosure so I can feed them on there and not risk ingestion of the eco earth! :) I think it looks cool too. You can buy tile pieces super cheap at Home Depot/Lowe’s
I have two female leopard geckos living together . They have been living together for 18 years. they're in a naturalistic bioactive setup it's a 50 long. I've never had any problems with them.
Jessica’s Animal Friends here on UA-cam has done videos on this, as has leopard gecko talks - she actually just did a video on this this past week. Apparently new studies show that in the wild they live kinda like lions. One male, “pride” of females. He defends the territory and fights the other males away, but each female can get away from the rest. (it’s quite a substantial area)
Im having the same positive experience with two females that I rescued together that got abandoned due to eviction to animal control. They are healthy and I’m closely monitoring. They actually seem to cuddle and are very good together. It’s working just fine. The cage is 40 gallon and they have separate hides. I’m sure to separate most of the time to be sure they both get food. All is well. I will be mindful of if they just wake up one day and decide they’ve had a change of heart. 😉 and if I need to I’ll separate them but all is well.
Hi Kristen! I need leopard gecko advice. My bf 12 yro has an adult leopard gecko and is in a 10 gallon aquarium. I thought I’d buy a larger tank more terrarium style as a gift. However I was just at petco and the sales guy said the gecko doesn’t need that much space. And not to waste my money and just put the gecko in a plastic tub (which obvi that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard!). Anyway- what would you suggest?
Hi Kristen! I have an opinion on this topic as well. Nefertiti and June are both adorable, but if you mean they cuddled as in laid on each other, that is a sign of dominance, not affection. I know you do a great job and try your hardest to care for your animals! Your amazing xx
Wow, I never knew any of this about geckos🤷♀️. A friend of mine has one, but I never asked any questions about him. I guess you really do learn something new every day💜
I have read a lot on these geckos I was give 3 geckos in one tank 2 males and 1 female they all seem very happy together the males actually like to be in the same cave together and there are 3 hinds in their tank! I’ve thought about separating them but they seem to be buddies
I have two leopard geckos, one male and one female. They are still young, but to me they looks like total buds. They cuddle and follow each other around. If anything they seem stressed without each other... Do you think this will change when they get older?
Sophia Vasquez the male could start “bullying” the female so I would recommend to separate them. In many cases, leo’s that have bonded will suddenly turn and fight each other so it’s better safe than sorry!
Thank you so much for taking what everyone said into consideration! Keep in mind once separated they make take a little bit to adjust and possibly might refuse food but that’s completely normally. They will get right back on track. Also I hope they do enjoy digging! I know mine does. (Side note the carpet is fine to use but just be cautious that it can rip their claws out and their teeth)
Please watch the whole video if you can! See what happens at the end, and my final thoughts on wheee I stand on this controversial topic ❤️🙌 happy Sunday!
Rianke Blignaut awe I’m so stoked to hear that. Thank you so much for all of your continued support. Means a lot 🙏🙏☺️
Happy sunday

absolutely. She is an honest and kind person and assume she knew more than her fans
OMG I FORGOT TO ADD YOSHI SOUNDS 😭😭😭
Kristenleannimal geeshhhh Kristen what are you doing 🤣
Kristenleannimal now you have to take it down 😩 lol

Hello leopard gecko I love your vids and I hope everything works out with the move
I have had my two females together for over two years and have never had a problem, but I still really enjoyed this video and how you took criticism and researched it yourself.
Madalyn Timmons happy to hear they’re doing great! I’ll see how mine do as well. 🙏❤️
Madalyn Timmons mine live togeather too in pairs one male one female.
@@PrincestonTheFrenchBulldog Male and females should NEVER be in pairs and living together. Unless closely monitored while *breeding*

That’s terrible about your Leo. They didn’t notice or what???
i heard its for dominance but just what i heard who knows lol
Omg so many videos lately haha I love it.
If everyone would take care of their pets the way that you do, there wouldn't be animals suffering! Thanks for being so nice ❤
I am loving that you addressed this so quickly, this leads to such a wonderful community regarding your channel.
I had a pair of leopard geckos (male and female) live in a 40/60gallon long together for 3/4 years they’ had 3 hides, separate “breaks” out of their enclosure, and were tong fed so there was never any food shortages. I tried to separate them for a month because i was told i had to but they quickly became stressed when apart so 🤷♀️ I personally never had any issues but everybody has their own thoughts and should care for the animals in front of them
did you ever have an issue with your female if the mate?
Loving the multiple animal videos lately. Enjoying them more than the beauty videos that I follow along to also. ❤️🤟❤️🤟
She isn't using the reptile ones. She has plant heat mats I dont think they have the adhesive backing on them like the reptile ones do.
I use the ones she does (meant for plants) with the Thermostat attached.
They do not have an adhesive and sometimes with non-standard tanks (wooden or other "unconventional" tanks) the heat won't properly heat up the enclosure while on the bottom.
When she’s exploring, it just hit me that that music reminds me of playing banjo kazooie
I thought so too. That was my favorite game back in the day LOL.
Leopard gecko has the best channel. Goherping is fantastic also! Good choices in references
Olivia Jarbeau I love leopard gecko! She’s so helpful for advice on crested geckos too :)
Ball pythons do good in large enclosures, you just need enough hiding spaces and foliage to let it feel safe. My boy has a pretty large cage(but I wanna get a bigger one) and he uses every bit of it.
Thank you this is one of my BIG questions
Thank you for seperating. I lost one of my female leopard geckos 12 years ago to a sibling attack, after she got what I now believe was stick tail or another wasting disease, and despite me attempting to treat whatever condition she had with vet visits and food supplementation, it seems her sister who had been with my sick girl her whole life decided from her own instincts that something was wrong, and attacked her one night- she died the next day. It was very hard to love my surviving leo after what she did, but she is still with me today.
In love with your channel and constant education!! When I'm established I want to rescue animals like you :) thanks for always inspiring me
Hi, I love your channel! I highly recommend putting the thermostat probe on top of the substrate mat so you can know the exact temperature that the gecko feels, not just the temperature under the mat :)
Also agree with this :)
I loved your last video with the sound effects when the babies stuck their tongue out - so funny and cute!
Isnt the heat mat supposed to go on the underside of the tank?
She uses plant heat mats instead of the reptile ones and since she is also using a rug the amount of heat through the glass and rug would be enough so inside under the rug is the way to get optimal heating
Yasss, another animal video! I’m only a dog mom but I just love these animal videos! So educating and fascinating to me 💕
So since you decided to house them separately now, will you be letting them hang out together(supervised obvi.) outside of their enclosures since they did enjoy each other before?
Great topic 😊
Love people that can take constructive criticism and understand that it was out of love. I’ve had it many times with my aquariums and thanks to people’s advice and criticisms I now have a wonderful environment for my fish! You go girl. New subscriber 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Just came across your channel and so far I’m absolutely in love! I currently have a beardie and want several other reptiles and I love how informative your channel is!
I love that you take the time to continue to learn and improve so bag your animals are the happiest they can be
You’re amazing for what you do for all your animals.
Amazing vide. I really love how chill and humble you are! Always happy to watch your content.
Love how much care you give your babies, the subtrate I would say to get a shallower more rectangular dish so she can walk around a but more in it
June is in the background watching like, hey you talking about me. Too cute.
This is so so awesome. I had no idea they could not be housed together. Leopard gecko does have awesome advice and wisdom. Sorry for anyone being rude. The pet community gets INTENSE sometimes but please never let that make you even consider to stop posting! Your videos are amazing and goals!!
Great video, i also would like to know where did you get the vanity desk from that the aquarium is on? 😊
Omg you literally took criticism so kindly like that’s the nicest I’ve ever seen someone react to criticism on here in many channels. Luv ya❤️
I’m happy you made a response ! These gossip pet UA-cam channels are trash . Your doing an amazing job rescuing and caring for all your animals !
(I have no affliction with these companies just great products.)
(Moss house my Leo does “yoga” on the top handle and will sleep on here and climb up and down for many hours every night.)
petsonbroadway.com/collections/bird-supplies/products/green-moss-bird-bungalow-hanging-house-habitat-addition
(I would get the large one. It allows complete darkness and no light which is important:
Also I put moss in there and it works as their wet hide and they can sleep on top for more heat or on the bottom for less. I have three of these in my tank and my two geckos are in them 80 percent of the time. Especially since the rock retains hear from the day and they can get belly heat and over all heat. Not to mention have perfect sheds since you need a shed box.)
Exo Terra Reptile Den, Medium www.amazon.com/dp/B0002AR5BU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lu7ZCb2B40R04
(Lastly this will help you fill in some of that climbing tank space area and the suction cups on this thing is crazy! My leopard geckos climb on and down on this thing and sleep in it. You can put moss in there and away you go.)

So glad you listened. Know you’ll see them so much happier. At least your giving it a chance. So many people spread false information.
I love how willing you are you try new things for your babies!
I think you did everything perfectly fine including giving them as much space and hides as you could
You know your babies better than anyone! If they get along and enjoy each other's company and don't show any aggression then they should be together.
Love your videos and love you. You are amazing and I wish there was less negativity for you!
love all your videos! and im glad you decided on housing seperately, and how youre actually willing to take advice! i thought i might point out that looking into placement of heat pads and thermostat probes might be something else to do a little extra research on ? also Emma sampson on youtube has some great videos on leopard gecko setups ! worth checking out her channel!
Thank you so much for taking advice from people! We all just want what’s best for your pets and anyone’s pets for that matter!
Every time I lick one of those suctions I really question my entire life choices 😂
me too lol
@@fibbintiggins2858 👍
I know this is such an old video but I wanted to say that I solved the problem of feeding leos in their enclosure with eco earth by adding a piece of slate that covers 1/3 - 1/2 of the enclosure so I can feed them on there and not risk ingestion of the eco earth! :) I think it looks cool too. You can buy tile pieces super cheap at Home Depot/Lowe’s
Is that a custom tank?? I can't find one that's 4'x2' with an open front and I'm no good at building my own. That's a perfect Bearded Dragon tank!!!
Online they have some amazing ones with front opening. Also look at petsmart.com and petco.com for tanks
Dang girl you were super quick to this lol I had just read the comment addressing this on your last vid
I guess you really do learn something new every day💜
I feel like you know your animals and how they respond. You know whats best for them. Its 2020 and people love to criticize 😔
