I just made a painting of labrador retriever dog with the help of your tutorial. My biggest challenge was making the trace, but the rest was a breeze. I couldn't believe that I was able to get a better result than I imagined, and the whole experience was fun. Thanks for making this video, Lauren!
Oh you mean the tip on painting eyes where you cannot see the iris? I see many artists struggling with that. It makes SUCH a HUGE difference. So glad I can help! And thank you 🙏
Love your tip videos! Our golden retriever had to get out down due to old age and loosing his back leg. He couldn't stand up anymore and was refusing to eat or drink. I miss that dog everyday! Beautiful painting of a golden retriever!
I just came across your channel and it is by far the best I've seen for explaining and breaking down the whole process. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!
When I read this it totally made my day! I needed to hear it so thank you. I hope I can continue serving you in your art and breaking things down in my upcoming videos ❤️
This was so awesome and so fun!! Would love to see a tutorial on a bernedoodle :) I have one and I find it so hard to paint him because of the multiple colors!
For sure! If you want you can even send me a photo of your Bernie! I love that breed. I can’t promise depending on photos, but I’m always open! Lauren@laurenelizabethanimalart.com
I use all Arteza brushes. I’ve got the list in the description. I use the detail brush pack and the variety Arteza brushes. Very affordable and they’ve been lasting for years!

Hello Lauren, I would love to know more about your master class for BEGINNERS! But I really need to know if this is truly a class for beginners. Please respond as I am truly interested in joing.
Just some feedback: it is hard to follow when you switch from color to color in one area instead of doing the dark color everywhere, then the next color wherever it goes. It also makes it hard for the viewer to discern how to do it themselves on a different painting that is theirs. I much prefer the videos that use one color at a time all over.
I mention both in this video incase beginners would prefer that option. I do, however, find this videos technique helps me to create a more realistic pet portrait.
Awww soooo cute!! 🥰 ❤🐶❤
Thank you so much!

❤❤❤so hard..
You mean a hard painting? I can help you if you run into troubles!! Just send me an email.
Great video. Do you use a grid to get the drawing? How do you go from the photo to drawing on the canvas?
Sometimes I’ll use a grid, but most times I apply my drawing system.
Do you have any 12 step videos for doing cats? I would love to learn how to paint my own cat
I certainly do, I've linked it here: ua-cam.com/video/fXjBTBTwgxM/v-deo.htmlsi=14dGkoMfN6IpJiCO

It’s absolutely for beginners. In fact it’s geared towards helping beginners master animal art.
