I bend my knees and do different arm exercises, crunches from side to side, With the weights over my head i do bicycle exercises. I satand and with the weights on my hips I squat. Hello I’m 64 year old 3.5yr ago I went to the hospital I had no pain but I had bad heartburn and and I woke up 35 days later with a quad bypass 2mini strokes Staph in my lungs lost a little vision in my right I do take a little bp med but other than that no meds. I’m now 99% percent grain and sugar free no oils soy I mostly eat meat very little veg, and I have followed you and dr. Wallach and I want to thank you for your time and expertise I’ve learned more from you and I’m very thankful to you
Omg!!!! I have 14 chronic issues, for years have suffered with the medical system, recently diagnosed with IBD , including gluten and dairy issues, thankyou thankyou for saving my life
I developed advanced osteoporosis of the spine at a very young age ( I am a competitive dancer and very fit) and developed calcium deposits in my soft tissues plus severe arthrosis after being vegetarian for 10 years. It was a shock. We are not supposed to be vegetarians. 🙃
For calcium to be used by bone it requires magnesium, vitamins K2 and C, zinc and potassium. Missing the combo the calcium is deposited in tissue leading to pain. Dr Berg on YT explains in more detail.
At 72, in excellent health. I have always cooked from scratch. Never any processed foods. Regardless of being mainly a veg. Eater. I think taking nuts, seeds, good oils an occasional meats, fish and tiny Dairy amounts . It is understanding nutrition that counts. So much info out there.
Dr. Osborne, this is wonderfully helpful. Im 80 and over the past three years, mostly due to covid limitations, I exercised less and ate less. I really need to build up.my.muscles and improve my skin. Bless you for your kindness.
@@sl4983 Don't worry,I never overdid exercise in my life. I take short walks and do some yoga moves but nothing strenuous. Actually, 80 is not 100. I take care of my home and garden and spend most of the day running around after my granddaughters while my daughter works. 😃
Your channel appeared on my feed and now lm hooked on you, Dr Osborne. So much of this info l could have used 50 years ago! I can only imagine how happier l could have been without constant stomach upsets. My mother said l was a whiner/complainer, but no, l spent years in misery! And lm still very conscious of everything l eat because l never know when l may experience stomach pain. You’ve made all of this simple to understand. Much Love ♥️
Stephanie, Many mothers are alike, and they've no compassion; they don't (truly) love their children, and wouldn't know when their children are truly in pain. Compassion extends from true love! One of my school friends (and neighbour) who was born with scoliosis had terrible pain as a teenager, and also to this very day! Her mom always told her that she was lazy and never treated her nicely as her siblings who didn't have health issues. Not everyone who has made children is a mother! My siblings and I always felt sorry and helped her to complete her chores.
Why people lose so much lean body mass as they get older? One reason is they’re not eating enough protein. second reason is they’re eating the wrong sources of protein. third reason is that they are not digesting their protein.
4th reason... being poverty in old age. Also known as insufficient income. 5th reason... Not to mention ignorance at any age level, and at any income level too.
I love the way you teaching by explaining everything easy way to understand and additional using the blackboard to make it even more visual and understandable. I never hear from any of my doctors and seems like they just not so educated because they should give the positive education and encouragement to fix the problem not just to symptoms the symptoms which in long run the meds they prescribed make more problems. I think every doctor should have this kind of knowledge like you and not just pushing pills
This is one of the most helpful videos I’ve seen on UA-cam. I’ve been vegetarian and vegan, but i feel like that i might be protein and possibly iron deficient. Thanks for being so detailed. I’ll have to save this to watch again.
I developed advanced osteoporosis of the spine at a very young age ( am a competitive dancer) and developed calcium deposits in my soft tissues after being vegetarian for 10 years. It was a shock. We are not supposed to be vegetarians. 🙃
I had to get an app to help me keep track of my macros and micros. When I first switched to fish ovo dairy vegetarian, I was not getting enough protein and not enough vitamin D from my diet (I had blood lab work done for vit D). So first the first 3 mths or more I was deficient for sure. I had the early symptoms he described. Now it s been several months since I started tracking my nutrients my nails & hair definitely better.
I really wish i had seen this sooner! I was loosing weight, muscle mass, hair, fatigue, etc for about 6 mos. Over the summer decided to try a carvivore diet and felt SO much better! Now I know the why! After calculating the protein I actually needve discovered that i probably still need a bit of supplementation. Thank you so much for this information
You cannot need supplementation if you are carnivore unless you have a disease or are just not eating or you are only eating one part of an animal or only eating white meat chicken and no dark meat. There is a test for *total protein, albumin, and albumin/globulin (A/G) ratio* Albumin and globulin are two proteins that the liver produces. This test can reveal whether total protein levels are low and if albumin and globulin proteins are at optimal levels.
@@shawnagunn9054 Ive never heard of lyme preventing protein digestion. Are you sure it's not an allergy caused by leaky gut? How are you getting protein now? We cannot live long without protein.
Wow, I sure wish you lived closer to me. I have lupus (no kidney involvement) and a history of hep C which is gone dt tx. My hepscore showed some fibrosis. Level 2.Enzymes never elevated. I've never gotten enough protein based on these numbers. It would be tough to eat that much. I'm 66 and worked as an RN all my adult life. 1/2 of that running the halls. I've always been strong. Now I'm pretty weak with limited ability to do physical work. Hair fall is high in a certain area. So, I'm working on my eating. Thank you for your work. It has helped me quite a bit.
according to dr eric berg, vit d3 is the cause of most auto immune diseases. it fixed my hubbys decades of high blood pressure, along with potassium. Vit D with Vit A fixed my decades of gluten intolerance. but if u got the pokeup, i cant say that any vitamins/minerals wd fix your issues, but its worth a try.
I eat 1.5 pounds of grass fed ground beef a day and I don't have any joint issues even though I am naturally hypermobile (with hyperextended knees) and do lots of walking. Almost 50 Y/O. Grain free since july 2019. Dairy & egg free since nov 2020. No meds.
I only stumbled upon your videos on UA-cam because i follow other health doctors. What I really like about YOUR videos is that you spend over an hour on each subject and explain every little detail in layman's terms so al.ost anyone can understand it
Liquid iodine on the skin ..the size of a 50 cent piece will help heal your thyroid ..we put it on the skin because it will only absorb what it needs..can't overdose on as with oral . The quicker the iodine disappears the more your body needs it .
Yes, I got rid of my goiter painting iodine. But, you can still get too much via this route so you still have to be careful not to use too much. If you start to feel hot, irritable, racing heart, and insomnia then you need to b back off for a bit
Also an Reg N. This is a brilliant, concise, well researched lecture. New subscriber. Kudos to you for reaching out with the truth against all the lies we have been told over the years. WOW !
Your video was so accurate, and very detailed. Also, it was very well laid out. I graduated in (bachelors) biochemistry & have been in health care for like 15 ish yrs. Nutrition is one of my hyperfocuses. I love your video.
Thanks! You've exposed the full realm of the very digestive issue I've dealt with for many years . Gerd and a lot of degenerative muscle mass are two of the many issues I experience . Betaine Hydrochloride and pepsin are supplements I've recently started taking .
Be cautious with betaine. I started betaine with digestive enzymes and developed anorexia and weight loss but no abdominal pain. I underwent a colonoscopy (normal) and upper endoscopy, which showed moderately severe gastritis. I continued digestive enzymes and stopped the betaine, and anorexia and weight loss resolved.
Thankyou so oo ,much. Your knowledge and imformation has totally helped me untangle my messed up body and mind by your amazing explanation to questions asked .You truly are a life saver .Thankyou so much. ❤
What a fab presentation. The guy connects all of the dots with his analytical presentation, great graphics , easily the best on protein on youtube. Once again, well done@
I use moringa powder, it seems to supply all of the amino acids and many of the other nutrients that we need to function, but I would be interested in your take on this, thank you
But the dosage... If you are taking it for the aminos, you would need alot of it, and that would be crazy expensive. Whey protein also have all the aminos, much cheaper.
@@Nicolailund15 There’s more to moringa than just the amino acid, moringa provides more sulfurophane then broccoli which is quite important for mitochondrial function it has all the vitamins in larger percentage than the fruit, attributed to, like oranges and vitamin A and so on ,so yeah somethings may have more protein or more amino acids but the fact of the matter is they usually not in balance with the other nutrients whereas moringa is very well balance
I thank the God and what every to send me this video! I got so many advices to improve our condition! We are carnivores but never took enough of proteins. 😢
So interesting you mention about injury and not enough protein. I messed up my shoulder and I have been unable to work out. In my case, I can see the protein link because my body has been struggling to break down and absorb protein properly.
I was a fruitarian (mainly ate fruit and some vegetables) no meat but I'd cheat and eat eggs out of necessities. I was too brainwashed thinking meat was bad :( I am no longer doing that, but I am concerned at how long should I be taking in a higher amount of protein since I was definitely low in my protein for over six years.I can tell I was low in something as it was so exhausting going up and down the stairs. I do now eat meat and I take in yogurt and protein powder and protein bars. I feel like a big fat empty drum as if I can't seem to get enough and those days I take in a lot I get so joyous and filled with energy and can do my workouts weight lifting etc very well. but I then cut back on it as I am not sure if I am taking in too much protein then I feel blah again. This is very exhausting lol.
Try go for 1g per cm of your height. If you get less then no biggy, but it's a good measure. There is no such thing as too much protein, you wouldn't be able to eat too much anyways.
per the most high level expertise vid's i've see on UA-cam and elsewhere (serious sources), your body will not let u eat too much protein. Its very self limiting. The only time ppl get too much is when they are out in nature surviving off the land and have nothing but rabbit meat, which has zero fat. Then u die within months or even weeks i guess.
I’m so glad I happened to come across your channel. I have cut down on protein and I noticed my face starting to sag. I eat a mostly plant based diet. No grains, sugar or simple carbs. Nuts, fruit, vegetables and seeds. My legs got so small I’m can no longer wear dresses above my ankles. I have so much fat around my middle. I have RA, fibromyalgia, diabetes, low back pain and high blood pressure. I take prednisone 5mg everyday. I changed my diet after getting RA and I have very little problems with RA. I got my sugar from 11.1 to 6.4 recently. I will be eating more meat. I was on Ozempic for a while, I quit that because I read it breaks down your muscle. I have hair loss. Anxiety, hard to lose weight. All my test came back normal except my sugar. I’m very forgetful. I did not connect all these health issues with lack of protein. I am very fatigued after about 4:00 every day. I’m 71 and I don’t blame my ill health on age. I eat a pretty healthy diet, that’s why all my illnesses and medications has not have a real bad effect on me. My strength is very weak.
I eat red meat, fish, eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables, potatoes, butter, raw olive oil, ghee, coconut oil. No grain, no sugar,no cigarettes,no alcohole,no vaccines,no pills.
I went carnivore about 2 1/2 years ago plus I discovered collagen peptide powder (before i went carnivore). I’m aging in reverse. I’ll be 50 in December but all the 30 something men think I’m their age. 😂 I buy my collagen in bulk and as I get older I find taking more is helping…in august I challenged myself to put a half a serving in my water. It made a tremendous difference!!! Zero wrinkles whatsoever and my right temple; my hair finally started to fill back in better. O and I lost about 100lbs!
How do we get protein when they say cows are bad, eating bugs are good. Everything is upside down. Constant shortages of food. Beyond beef is supposed to be healthier than real meat. Don't understand how we're supposed to get proper amounts of protien in our diet. 😳😳😳
as we age we bleed more easily on the surface of our thinning skin. (1) Would you explain why the skin becomes so easily damaged ? (2) Is it likely we could halt and even reverse this trend ? How ? (3) Can the wrinkley appearance of the skin be reversed and id so how ....collagen ? (4) As a ROT, how much may someone realistically anticipate ,along with length of time to attain these goals ?
I don't know how old you are. I've seen this on a lot of older people but I don't have it at all and I'm almost 80. I've been on a carnivore diet about 10 years, though
I had a deathly low level of hemoglobin when I was 17 and I had Epstein Barr and wound up being hospitalized for liver failure. A less common complication from EBV happens to be viral hepatitis. The hospital was sooooooo confused. I was sooooo jaundiced. I happened to get hives, and those were orange from the lovely mix of red and yellow 😬.
Sure hope that you are doing well now, and keeping all strong and healthy. Please do take good care of yourself and stay away from refined sugars and all kinds of factory made food like substances.😊❤
I would love to know more about this. I'm plagued by herpes simplex 1. Not sure if ur aware but Epstien Barr is a herpesvirus also. They claim they are benign skin viruses. That's what doctors are taught but if u read the studies as I have for over a decade, it's clear they are covering it up. I haven't been able to get any doctors or neurologists to give me a full viral panel so I know what else I have, like Epstien Barr. No idea if I have it. Most likely do. Everyone does is the excuse. Cash cow. Latent viruses & some other pathogens like Lyme are the root of all inflammation imo. They want u to think "it's YOUR body attacking ITSELF". The pattern is, they always want to blame us, it's never environmental, it's never their fault, the chemicals everywhere, the viruses they refuse to acknowledge, the toxic food & medicines, stress of being one paycheck from homelessness. Couldn't possibly be they encouraged free love so a whole generation of babies get born with herpes. Hand raised here. Then they give the false impression that condoms prevent all STDs. No, not herpes or warts. Oral sex defeats the purpose. I can't believe we still haven't seen the light on this. Then again I haven't taken sex ed in a long time. Although, it seems like sex Ed has gotten worse because people don't even know how HIV works anymore. I feel like they are just teaching kids how to have sex, not the dangers of it like when I was a kid. They teached abstinence back then. Now they teach sex positions. How to do BJs. It's crazy. It's like they want everyone to get infected.
Wow…hope you are ok now. EBV messes with you big time. 🙏 I went to emergency with a rapid pulse in 2018. Big confusion. They gave me meds (just in case), x-ray (just in case), 2 rounds of blood work (just in case) and then wanted to send me to another hospital to put in a stent ( just in case). Nothing definitive. I got myself out of there armed with my blood work and headed straight to my doctor’s office. He opened the folder, looked at my blood work and in the time it takes to blink, he said, “you’re just low in potassium, go home and eat a banana!” I ask you, who are they hiring to work in emergency at night that they’re incapable of deciphering bloodwork. And….there were at least 2 different doctors that looked at the results. 🫣
I don't really think a lot of Doctors really seem to know what's going on, I just had a rheumatologist they told me he doesn't treat osteoarthritis, But he does because he gave me a medicine that causes cancer and I didn't want to take it.
Find a good doctor that practices NATUROPATHY. NATURAL HEALING, WITH NUTRITION AND SUPPLEMENTATION. Building your body and your health up. Without all kinds of terrible side effects .😊❤
@@heidimisfeldt5685That would be Great if I could afford a holistic doctor I'm on disability, our government our disability system does not pay for holistic doctors, the government does not pay for holistic doctors and holistic doctors do not take Medicaid and Medicare.
Excellent information, thank you. It’s pretty hard to overeat meat because it’s so satiating. We need to remember that meat is not all protein but has fat etc. Egg whites are a good economical source of protein….add extra egg whites to omelettes.
I am very intuitive. Sometimes I just know which doesn’t help you. When people are protein deficient they will have hormone imbalances. Things will just not be quite right but they can’t explain it. They go to the doctor and the doctor can’t find anything wrong. They just don’t feel right. Maybe have unexplained minor pains that come and go in different places. When I ask about their diet they are vegan, vegetarian, or eat very little animal products.
I'm concerned about your comment on the kidneys. Doctors continually say that protein is hard for the kidneys to process. I'm in stage 2 kidney disease, told to stay away from protein. Now Hoshimotos and so many other autoimmune issues. Please explain.
He explained our digestive enzymes are made from the protein also all hormones are made from protein and that if we don’t have enough we essentially don’t absorb nutrients or be hormonally balanced…
I was in stage 3A kidney failure. Doctors told me there’s nothing I can do about it. It’s part of being a diabetic they said. I had been on a carnivore diet but realized I was not drinking enough water or getting enough electrolytes. I adjusted the diet. I made sure I did not over stuff, I made sure I drank enough water and electrolytes, I’m still eating mostly meat diet with Low carb leafy greens vegetables added. (only added the vegetables because the doctors scared me into believing I was gonna die without them) I eat NO carbs, sugar, fruit, grain, dairy, and in 6 months my EGFR went from 52.7 - 6.1 and then another three months its 6.3. My biggest challenge was to stop listening to Doctors tell me that the pyramid was the only way. NOPE! Although I don’t agree with everything Dr. Bernstein writes, experimenting with food / what he wrote has helped me a lot. I’m LADA Diabetic. On the carnivore diet I lost 4 inches around my waist in two months, my arthritis quit hurting, and I went from 17 units of tresiba to 6 units. My blood sugar readings were always between 80 and 110mg/dl. Now the doctor scared the hell out of me and I’m on statins. All my bloodwork and blood pressure good. But My LDL is 288 but YT doctors say when you go on low carb diet your LDL’s going to skyrocket and don’t worry about it. Idk. I’ll stay on the statins (CoQ10 added) as long as I don’t show any side effects. But very soon I’m going back on the carnivore diet since adding in these few vegetables I’ve gained back 2 inches around my waist and now I’m up to 9 units of insulin. Don’t know why no carb leafy greens would do this but it has. Can’t tell doctors this, they wouldn’t believe me. All organic.
Collagen supplementation recently worked wonders for me - within a week; in recovering from intermittent pain in hips - especially upon weight bearing. Was also losing sleep at at night, because of pain in various positions... Now - painless - it feels as if in heaven when lying down. To relieve pain and swelling in general, applying DMSO topically is often effective; working even better if Aloe vera gel is added. MSM powder can also be ingested; this in addition to Vit C, with the latter needed for collagen production. When it comes to bone pain, it could be as result of Vit D and/or other vit&mineral deficiencies. Previously I once was suffering from a painful restless leg type condition; this after drinking much water without replenishing minerals.
I make my own collegen bone broth,a lot of work but worth it. Also Boron is an essential trace mineral for bone density and reversing and addressing arthritis and calcification of flesh
@@sl4983 Had started out on Nuskin's BEAUTY FOCUS COLLAGEN Plus. However, found it too expensive in the long term. Also, after a few months it caused constipation, because of added Stevia. Now using mainly more affordable BIOGEN COLLAGEN with Peptan - unflavoured.
I was eating 3 eggs, sausage, bacon and ham, plus half a platter of hash browns for breakfast, double quarter pounder (no cheese, no mayonnaise), and a plain baked potatoe or salad with grilled chicken breast and unsweetened iced tea for lunch and another 8 ounces of meat for dinner or more 6 years ago. Gave up pop in 2011, fried food in 2015. Tapered off the meat and eggs after that till going whole food plant based in Nov 2020 which probably save my life (lost 10 pounds before getting sick [COVID-19 or flu?]). At a BMI above 35 the reports said I was 7 times more likely to end up in the hospital with COVID-19. Lack of protein was not the problem. Excess calories of any type turns to fat. Processed foods, potatoes, fruit juice, and alcohol are most likely to cause weight gain, but excess protein is either converted to fat or sugar or excreted by the kidneys. Protein raise insulin (but less than carbs), especially in excess. Maybe if I skipped the hamburger bun and added another piece of lettuce. Excess meat and saterated fats (including coconut and palm oils) is a major cause of high cholesterol. If you do eat spaghetti (el dente) or pizza have salad first to prevent overeating trying to get nutrients that aren't there. My blood sugar is maybe a bit high with Whole wheat spaghetti, but normal the next morning, put beans, lentils, mushroom or meat in spaghetti sauce for better results and skip the sugar or go low sugar in the sauce. Barilla's Protein+ spaghetti which has protein from lentils, chickpeas and peas is more balanced protein and lower glycemic. Spaghetti squash is a better choice than either of the above. Most breads, crackers, cakes and chips are poor choices (no yeast sourdough and german style pumpernickel are better - the denser and sourer the better). Peanut Butter on Rye or sourdough is balance protein. Every once in a while I find a no sugar added apple butter or jam (without artificial sweeteners). I try to limit bread or pasta to once a month on a day when I am more active. These breads should only have a few ingredients, no dough conditioners or sugars. Real sourdough does not have yeast in the ingredient list (wild yeast on the grain or starter culture and salt).
About bathing There is a difference between staying everyday in a cool home and work outside in the dust and sweating for needs of bathing and shower Intake important Sometimes when my temperature increase a little bit I sometimes get coldsores but rare . .

Great program!!! Thsnk you Doc..very informative however for me it is a review. Also, i think Protein powder is great to supplement one's diet. What's your opinion?
Sounds like soy based protein, and soybeans are also high in vegetable estrogen. Consider that also please. Find a healthy source of eggs from chickens that are free to run around and eat bugs and greens, and whatever things they naturally enjoy, besides their feed. Meat, fish, chicken, best from animals that are free, and not prisoners in confined and overcrowded conditions. Good luck.
When you are older and have no teeth to chew with - how do you get needed protein ? Especially for those UNDER weight. When you can't eat, how do you get protein needed - choke down those horrible protein drinks that you hate so much you end up having it come back up they are so terrible ? When you can't chew you can't' eat meat. Your video is good but it does not tell us HOW to GET the needed protein. I drink Bone Broth but it cases weight loss. IT's collagen but it makes you LOSE wright and if I lose anymore weight, I'll be invisible. I've tried all my life to GAIN weight. Everyone thinks that everyone if fat - not skin and bone that many of us are ! I'm 78
If you've been toothless a long time, your gums should be pretty tough by now. You should be able to "chew" soft meats like hamburger, pork tenderloin, chicken thighs, fish fillets, and of course eggs. Invest in a modern electric pressure cooker. You can make tough cheaper cuts of meat fall-apart tender. Easy to eat.
I agree with you about assuming that everyone is overweight! I’m constantly trying to gain weight. I found that I have a B1 deficiency which causes weigh loss/ loss of appetite.
@@contrarymary76my thoughts exactly. If there is a will, there is a way. Many older folks just dont want to bother anymore. There is no need to cook daily either. I use an Instapot, or crock pot, or oven bag, cook a larger cut of meat, or two, then when it’s done, I immediately put most in hot sterilized mason jars, cover with sterilized lids and when it cools down, it’s sealed, I put in the fridge. I have variety of foods prepared this way, can decide what I want to eat each day. I can add sides of veg, or make something like burger patties fresh, when I desire. I take advantage of meat sales, do batch cooking maybe twice a month. Right now I have 5 different foods cooked, each has 2-3 or more portions. It last a long time, it’s vacuum sealed and in the fridge. No mess, with Instapot you can brown meat on sauté setting first and then pressure cook all in one pot. No pots and pans to clean up, besides few utensil and when done, the inside pot goes in to the dishwasher.😊 next I will try soups vide cooking for even more tenderness and juiciness. Nothing like a good home cooked food, you know exactly what you are eating too.
Apparently high carbs foods causes too high acid saliva which is one cause of gum ressession, just something I have heard and seen good results when going carnivore.
Please comment on taking the amino acids that make up collagen instead of cow collagen. What do you think of Urolithin A, Creatine, Leucine 3g per day?

The affordable meat is ew and so over-processed. That's probably why my hair is falling out in strands. :( Thank you so much - love your videos!
Take a good look at ethnicities that have awesome thick and healthy hair. Some eat a lot of yellow split peas, lentils, and various kinds of beans, with or without animal protein. They likely eat whole grains, not refined junk. Just my observations. 😊❤

28:00 I do understand that (maybe) body needs all three macronutrients (fat, carbs, protein), but I did not see evidence that it should (even roughly) be 33%-33%-33% as kind of optimal. For example, 2-stroke engines really need both gasoline and oil to work, but that does not mean that the ratio is 50%-50% (as many would know, typically it is 2%-98% in favour of gasoline). So, for 2 stroke engines we have evidence, where are evidences for 33%-33%-33%?
I am being told that the oxalates in vegetables are inflammatory. Some veggies are higher in oxalates, the lesser oxalate ones usually can be tolerated more easily and are ok. I am new to your channel, so do not know if you have already addressed this. I am a new carnivore, so may wish to add my veggies in later. BTW, since on the eating regimen, my health has improved greatly.

Stephanie,
Many mothers are alike, and they've no compassion; they don't (truly) love their children, and wouldn't know when their children are truly in pain.
Excellent. As a nurse I wish every single person in the world would listen t to all of this and take it seriously.
Thank you Stephanie ❤
Why people lose so much lean body mass as they get older?
One reason is they’re not eating enough protein.
second reason is they’re eating the wrong sources of protein.
third reason is that they are not digesting their protein.
4th reason...
being poverty in old age. Also known as insufficient income.
5th reason...
Not to mention ignorance at any age level, and at any income level too.
How can you digest it better after being vegan
Thankyou for posting, and reminding me of this. It surely makes sense.😊

"protein bars" are garbage food.
Try go for 1g per cm of your height. If you get less then no biggy, but it's a good measure. There is no such thing as too much protein, you wouldn't be able to eat too much anyways.
Try 2 pounds a day of red meat. Maybe couple weeks or more
per the most high level expertise vid's i've see on UA-cam and elsewhere (serious sources), your body will not let u eat too much protein. Its very self limiting.
What help did you receive at the hospital?
How did you recover? What were the key things you did?
I went to emergency with a rapid pulse in 2018.

I have many patients come in and they are protein deficient. This was a great talk.
How do you test them? BeverlyAcupuncture
I would also want to know pls?
How do you know they're protein deficient?
Do you have SLE?
(only added the vegetables because the doctors scared me into believing I was gonna die without them)
I eat NO carbs, sugar, fruit, grain, dairy, and in 6 months my EGFR went from 52.7 - 6.1 and then another three months its 6.3.
Which collagen supplement do you use?
I make my own collegen bone broth,a lot of work but worth it.
Also Boron is an essential trace mineral for bone density and reversing and addressing arthritis and calcification of flesh

Had started out on Nuskin's BEAUTY FOCUS COLLAGEN Plus.

How about scrambled eggs. Or any style of eggs. Plus soft cheeses.
Blender or food processor and basically chop/blend cooked meat/poultry/etc and eat it like oatmeal or a thick soup/stew.
Thank you Dr. Osborn. I saved this video and took notes. Wish me luck. 😊
I absolutely have learnt so much from your pod casts you cover everyone’s needs so well with no biased just honest teaching
Thanks so much for enlightening on importance of protein.
Wow, thank you for clear explanations.
What are your qualifications Peter? I don’t see any listed.
Mr. Osborne,
Can you please tell me what is the cause for bone loss in the gums? Thank you Sir.
Apparently high carbs foods causes too high acid saliva which is one cause of gum ressession, just something I have heard and seen good results when going carnivore.

I've been consuming low-carb for many years!
Dr Jorges Flechas, covers this. Boron deficiency

What a great video. Kinda depresses me, but its good stuff to know.
Please comment on taking the amino acids that make up collagen instead of cow collagen.
What do you think of Urolithin A, Creatine, Leucine 3g per day?
Thank you so much for all the information you explain so well , and is well researched! You are so appreciated
Thankyou for the free educational material, doc. Invaluable. 🙏❣️
I just watched a video with two doctors saying there is no such thing as protein deficiency, it's extremely rare and protein is over hyped we get enough protein in our diet. hard to distinguish between information and misinformation these days
These 2 doctors gave you a misinformation.
@@PeCo333 I wouldn't trust any information funded by the cattle, dairy, or egg industries. I also wouldn't trust any information funded by major corporations like Kellogg that make their money off our bad food choices.
I suggest going to Google Scholar, Mendeley, cdnsciencepub.com, and/or pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov and looking at the conflict of interest statement on every article used in this video.
Osborne certainly hasn't done his due diligence. Shame on you Osborne (if you even have any) for using questionable studies to help you peddle your supplements.

I'm pretty sure I don't take enough protein. Meat is so expensive these days and it's hard for me to get it from the plants. I try with mushrooms, eggs, fish and chickpeas. The affordable meat is ew and so over-processed. That's probably why my hair is falling out in strands. :( Thank you so much - love your videos!
Corn oil, or vegetable oil i heard makes your hair fall out. All those foods listed sounds like a pretty sound diet to me.
A symptom of Hypothyroidism is hair falling out too.
Chop meat beef franks, butter cheese have proteine
Remove the chickpeas - high in lectins. Supplement with iodine for hair loss.
Take a good look at ethnicities that have awesome thick and healthy hair. Some eat a lot of yellow split peas, lentils, and various kinds of beans, with or without animal protein. They likely eat whole grains, not refined junk. Just my observations. 😊❤
Winderful video.. thsnk you! This is so important to understand.. What to watch out for if i want to take an amino acid supplements.. you mentioned what to watch out for in protein powders, but whst on amino acids direct? - as i sm not a big eater and i try to avoid dairy it might just not be enough just by what i eat.. thx for advice
Is Vega protein and greens good for shakes
Sally K. Norton has an excellent book on oxalate. My health deteriorated eating a vegetable laden diet with no meat, eggs, and little dairy. Took many years but once it becomes apparent that the body won't heal and gets injured easily you change your diet real quick.
Very interesting info, but I know people that need to learn and benefit from your program but they speak spanish, Any suggestions?
I had grains., Oat meals, and Granola bars. Broke out 4 months ago. It created reddbess itching, when I eat carbs or sugar product. Itching and break out. Dr said, my kidneys & liver ok. I have a rash on lower leg & arm & chest. Help !! what going on.?? My blood pressure up and blood count up..

Tofu is NOT fermented. I wish it was. Unfermented soy is a goitrogen, and very bad for the thyroid, and has other issues as well.
Some examples of fermented soy are tempeh, miso, and natto.
Excellent content as always!!!
Help! I have low protein, low albumin, and globulin. I eat healthy, i don't drink or do drugs. why is my liver not making protein? I have tried a high protein diet for years, and now Veg. no difference in my numbers. Doc says my liver is fine. Any ideas for a doc I can see? a clinical study?

As I get older (81) I find that meat no longer appeals to me so I have been eating very little of it. Am I damaging my body because of this?

Please debate this with Dr. Robert Morse so we can get both sides of the story, to decide what is best.
Interesting subject. Will you please offer a shorter summarized version.
