Ghazghkull Thraka Part 1: Painting the Base

  • In this video I prep the base for Ghazghkull Thraka from the Games Workshop box set Prophecy of the Wolf for Warhammer 40k.

    Looks pretty cool. good looking base.
    But yea.. fucking sucks to be me because all my orcs are on a martian base setting.. im not even sure what to do about Ghaz and his base.
    Also is it really okay to not glue down the skulls and debris and razorwire? I would imagine they werent stuck well enough on the base when just thrown in to the mudpaste that then dries?
    Can you confirm that it sticks to the paste properly without being glued on first? im just afraid that if i do the same, then when the paste dries up, the skulls and what not would have an easy time getting dislodged and fall off.

      You can easily convert this to a martian base. Just switch the colors of the dirt to what you used for your Orks, and don't use any grass. As for the earth texture, I've made lot of bases using the earth texture as the glue, and I've never had anything fall off. It'hardens up really well. I normally only use glue on large things - like chunks of cork or bark.
